
Moslemani announces launch of FM station, 2 digital TV channels Saturday
CAIRO - 31 May 2025: Chairman of the National Media Authority Ahmed El Moslemani announced Saturday the launch of the new (Drama FM) radio station , along with the "Masr 21" and "Pyramids TV" digital channels, in celebration of the Media Day, which marks the 91st anniversary of launching the Egyptian Radio on May 31.
In a statement, Moslemani said a ceremony will be held to honor veteran media professionals after the Eid Al-Adha holiday.

Fathy Abdel Wahab to Guest Star in Film "Al Set Lama"
Yara Sameh Egyptian actor, Fathy Abdel Wahab will guest star in veteran actress Yousra's upcoming light comedy film "Al Set Lama". The pic boasts a cast that includes Maged El Masry, Amr Abdul Gelil, Ahmad Seyam, Dorra, Rania Mansour, Yasmin Raeis, Donia Sami, Entsar, and more. Yousra made her last appearance on the big screen in the the romance-action film ' Shaqo ' (Brothers). The star-studded film is scripted by Wissam Sabri, helmed by Karim El Sobky, and produced by Ahmed El Sobky. "Shaqo" debuted in the Eid Al-Fitr movie marathon. Yousra, born on March 10, 1955, is an actress, a singer, a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The iconic cinematic legend is one of the most recognizable names in the region and has been gracing the silver screen for more than 50 years. Since the 1970s, Yousra has starred in some of the most important films in the history of Egyptian cinema, appearing in over 100 films. 'Al Gawahergy' Release Date Delayed Again
Yara Sameh Egyptian stars Mohamed Henedy and Mona Zaki's film 'Al Gawahergy' has been delayed from the planned July 30 date, in a continuation to it's slew of delays. The film's journey to the big screen had been a bumpy ride that dates back to 2022. It was initially set to hit the cinemas during the Eid al-Fitr movie marathon in 2022 but got postponed indefinitely before landing an August 2024 release window, only to be delayed to the Eid al-Adha movie marathon in 2025 and then to July 30. 'Al Gawahergy' also boasts a cast that includes Lebleba, Ahmed El Saadany, Tara Emad, Bassem Samra, and more. Written by Islam Khairy and directed by Omar Taher, 'Al Gawahergy' depicts the crises of marriage in a comedic setting. The film witnesses the first collaboration between Henedy and Zaki after 23 years. They last starred together in the 1998 film 'Saidi at the American University'. Henedy and Zaki are currently busy working on their latest films, respectively. The veteran comedian is set to star in the action-comedy film "Sterlini' (The Sterling). The project reunites Henedy with "Marei El Brimo" scriptwriter Ihab Blibl. Directed by Hussein El Menbawy, the pic features Henedy presenting action to his scenes for the first time. "El Sterling', a significant portion of the film shot in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Zaki is starring in the Umm Kulthum biopic "El Set" and the comedy film "Rizk Al Hibl". Marwan Hamed is directing the biopic from a script by Ahmed Mourad. The film comes as part of the "Big Time" Investment Fund that aims to raise the quality of Arabic content and filmmaking. The fund is sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture.
