Centre for Jazz and Popular Music, UKZN: In the spirit of International Jazz Day on April 30 the centre presents a series of events celebrating jazz. As part of the programme, a series of live online conversations will bring together industry experts to unpack topics. Join the dialogue on Monday 28 April, Thursday 1 May, and Friday 2 May at 11am, streamed via the centre's Facebook page: facebook.com/UKZNJazzcentre. Featured performances include a Vocal Showcase at the centre on April 30 featuring vocalist and educator Natalie Rungan, and UKZN Jazz Vocalists. On May 2 the Bean Bag Jazz Club highlights composer-pianist Burton Naidoo and on May 4 at Dukkah student ensembles take to the stage in a community-rooted fundraiser for their journey to the National Arts Festival in Makhanda.
