His obituary reflected his commitment to the series: "His second greatest love was his work and work-family (especially Gord, Trevor and Andrew-he fondly referred to as Pikachu) at "When Calls the Heart" filming location where he was fondly called Nate (N8). He was transport department employee/actor and he enjoyed working on set in different roles."
Following the service on May 2, many cast members paid tribute to Nate, including Martin Cummins, who stars as Henry Gowen.
In his heartfelt tribute, he recalled, "I just came back from a ride on the bike Gord and Nate put together for the girls and I'm taking shade in Mexico under the awning Nate helped me figure out in the woods near the old cabin," adding, "I have spent more hours at work sitting in the blue room, in silence or in conversation with Gord and Nate than I have standing on tape with the camera rolling. Gord has always felt like a father figure to me, and Nate and I were his boys running around the town, hanging out in the woods and talking s–t. Life is constantly changing. Things are never the same. The Valley will not be the same without Nathaniel Pelletier. He was a gentle soul and it was my honor to call him friend.'Pascale Hutton (who plays Rosemary LeVeaux Coulter) commented, "💔 he will be so missed."
Production manager Mike Magnusson also took to social media with a tribute, reflecting on fond memories, writing, "We lost a member of our WCTH family, Nate Pelletier."
"Nate was all heart, a true "Unicorn", smashing every 14 hour day with a wide smile & endless cheer for all. He "saw" people, and was always there with a kind word. He leaves a void of spirit we will not be able to replace. Nate you were one of a kind, and we loved you. You will be sorely missed my friend," he revealed.
The official show Instagram account echoed Magnusson's post, adding, 'The When Calls the Heart family is mourning the loss of a beloved family member, Nathaniel 'Nate' Pelletier."
"We know many #Hearties also had the privilege of meeting Nate at the Hearties Family Reunion. He loved interacting with the fans and he brought so much joy to the day…we're sending love to all who knew and loved him. He will be missed greatly," the post concluded, with many fans sending condolences in the comment section.
The show's 12th season has officially concluded, but it has been renewed for Season 13, with an expected premiere date in 2026.

Woman Takes a Pregnancy Test—First Place She Goes Leaves Internet in Tears

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. An emotional Instagram reel has captured a pivotal moment in two women's friendship. The clip shows Emma Walz waiting on her best friend to answer the door to deliver the news of her positive pregnant test—only 45 minutes after receiving it herself. The best part? Walz's best friend has a new baby of her own, meaning the friends can finally mother alongside each other after a dream they thought was gone. Walz, 23, spoke to Newsweek about the touching announcement and what she is most looking forward to as she and her best friend, Liv, grow as parents together. Photos from Emma Walz's Instagram video of her telling her best friend she's pregnant. @mrsemmawalz/Instagram "Telling my best friend I'm pregnant (the only one who knew I was a day late)," Walz captioned the reel. "We were engaged together, got married within a few months of each other, and then she got pregnant. And it wasn't time for Josh and I to even start trying months later, she's holding her son, and it's finally time for us to be in the same season again." Speaking further about her journey, Walz said she and her husband had waited for years to have a positive pregnancy test—but not because of fertility issues. The couple got married at 19 and "knew it wasn't wise to have babies yet, as much as [they] wanted them." The bond between Walz and her best friend, Liv, has been strong for years. The two met at nursing school, and they are now emergency room and intensive care unit nurses at the same hospital—but timing differences in life milestones meant they weren't walking in lockstep anymore. "Our seasons separated when she got pregnant in May 2024 with her son," Walz said. "I was the first person she told after her husband. I was so excited, but really struggled with grief surrounding it not being time for my husband and I to start trying yet. Liv and I always wanted to have babies at the same time, and we realized that wasn't going to happen." Despite the bittersweet feelings, Walz and her husband waited for the right time. Finally, in March of 2025, they got pregnant. 'The Honor of My Life' Once she received the news, Walz knew she couldn't wait to tell her best friend that their shared dream was finally happening. "Liv was the only one who knew I was a day late for my period. I knew that when I tested, if I didn't immediately drive to her, it would never be a surprise," she said. "So, we drove immediately to her home and told her 45 minutes after I found out myself. I think that video shows the relief between both of us that it was finally time to be in the same season." Walz also expressed gratitude for Liv's support during her waiting period, saying she has been "gracious" while celebrating her own pregnancy while holding Walz's grief in waiting. "Grieving my wait for motherhood, despite being the one still choosing to use contraception was bizarre," Walz admitted. "The sacrifice of waiting was for this baby and their future, but it didn't change how bad I still wanted this time to come sooner." Now, the friends' shared dream of motherhood alongside each other is coming true—and they couldn't be more excited. "We get to raise our babies side by side," Walz concluded. "I was in her delivery suite, and she'll be in mine. It's the honor of my life to love and be loved so well."

Vanessa Kirby is pregnant with her first child

Vanessa Kirby is pregnant. The 38-year-old actress revealed that she is expecting her first child as she showed off a baby bump during a photocall for her new movie 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' at the Comic Con Experience Mexico on Saturday (31.05.25). Vanessa is said to have got engaged to her partner Paul Rabil last December after he popped the question after two years of dating, according to the New York Post's Page Six column. The pair were first spotted together in New York City in October 2022 and made their romance Instagram official the following year. Paul, the President of the Premier Lacrosse League, captioned a carousel of Instagram images: "from the very minute we first met in des moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you (sic)' Before finding love with Paul, Vanessa dated actor Callum Turner for four years but revealed that she chose to keep the relationship private as people weren't interested in the details. 'The Crown' actress said in 2018: "I keep my relationship super private. "He is just completely wonderful and he's my best friend, so that's ... I guess you can either choose to talk about it or not. If you talk about it, it becomes interesting to people, but if you don't, then it's not." Vanessa portrayed Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of the Netflix drama about the British royal family but feared that she was "finished" after playing a part that seemed over-the-top in comparison to Claire Foy's Queen Elizabeth. She told The Times newspaper: "Claire is the master of subtlety and I'd be sitting across from her in those scenes with tears coming out, smoking cigarettes, my nose running and I'm shouting in her face. "And I remember thinking, 'Oh my God. This could be the most pantomime thing I've ever done. I'm going to be finished after this.'" However, she has since embarked on a career in blockbuster movies - such as 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' - and explained that she is drawn to playing "strange" characters. Kirby said: "Strange. That's the biggest compliment you could give me: strange. I just love playing strange; the stranger the better.'

Larry David makes surprise appearance at Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld wedding

One celebrity made a surprise appearance at Bills star Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld's wedding. Larry David was spotted at the power couple's wedding at an upscale resort in California on Saturday night. David is an avid fan of the Jets, so attending the wedding of a member of the AFC East rival could make for some awkwardness. 4 Larry David was spotted at Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld's wedding. David's attendance also means he missed watching the Knicks' season-ending 125-108 loss to the Pacers. David was one of many celebrities on hand for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, which the Knicks lost in heartbreaking fashion. It is unclear what his connection is to Allen and Steinfeld, who first went public with their relationship on Instagram in July 2024, though the two were previously linked as early as May 2023. 4 Larry David (right) talks with Jon Hamm at a Knicks playoff game. Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post The couple announced their engagement through social media in November, with Allen proposing on a beach in Malibu. Steinfeld opened up on the details in the months following the proposal, saying that Allen completely took her by surprise. 4 The couple exchanged vows in a garden ceremony surrounded by white florals and close family. BACKGRID 'Oh my God, no!' Steinfeld, 28, said on 'Who What Wear' after being asked if she knew anything about the proposal. 'You talk to your girlfriends about that, right, where you're like, 'I just don't want to know.' 'I'm so grateful that he did it the way he did so that I looked good, and we have these photos that we'll have and cherish for the rest of our lives that I'm not looking at being like, 'What was I wearing?' We were in Malibu, which is my happy place, and it was magical. That's the word.' 4 Allen and Steinfeld first made their relationship official last year. BACKGRID Allen was named MVP last season with the Bills and credited Steinfeld for his performance in 2024. 'She's been a huge part,' Allen told the Associated Press. 'The morale, the support. When I get home, she's my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She's just the best.' Earlier this year, Allen, 29, inked a massive six-year, $330 million deal with Buffalo, $250 million of which is guaranteed, making it the largest guaranteed money a player has received in NFL history.
