Timothee Chalamet sings Bob Dylan, talks awards losses while hosting 'SNL'
The 29-year-old actor, who stars in two Best Picture Oscar nominees this year -- Dune Part II and A Complete Unknown -- this year, sang several Bob Dylan songs in honor of the music legend he plays in A Complete Unknown, which also earned him a Best Actor Oscar nomination.
During his monologue, he joked about his film awards losing streak and how he has kept a "sad little speech" in his pocket for the past four years.
Chalamet then asked an audience member to open an envelope, supposedly to announce his name for a pretend award, so he could finally give his speech, but the name the man read was that of SNL cast member Kenan Thompson, who cheerfully accepted the faux prize while Chalamet glowered.
The Oscars gala, the last awards presentation of the 2024-25 film season, is set for March 2.

Last year's Honorees, who were named during President Joe Biden's administration, included Francis Ford Coppola, the Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt and Arturo Sandoval. Queen Latifah hosted the ceremony.

Watch: PinkPantheress plays chess in 'Romeo' music video
Aug. 13 (UPI) -- PinkPantheress is back with a new music video. She released the "Romeo" music video Wednesday, which shows the singer, 24, playing chess with various people at an apparent tournament in South London. "Don't let yourself fall in love," she sings as she's interviewed by a reporter. As the song continues, she dances on a large chessboard. "My babes might've lost in chess but Destin Conrad can never lose in the face," she said, referring to her love interest in the video, in an Instagram post. "Romeo" is the ninth track on her mixtape Fancy That, which arrived May 9. She recently made her late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon with a performance of medley of "Illegal," "Girl Like Me" and "Tonight." She concluded her tour Sunday.

Shailene Woodley joins Lindsay Lohan in 'Count My Lies' adaptation

Woodley, 33, will portray Sloan Caraway, a compulsive liar whose fabrications secure her a nannying job for Lohan's Violet. But what starts as a dream job quickly unravels as the family's secrets upend everyone's lives, multiple outlets report. The series will be penned and executive produced by showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who are well known for their work on This is Us. Woodley and Lohan will also executive produce. Lohan, 39, is best known for Parent Trap and Mean Girls. She recently starred in the Freaky Friday sequel opposite Jamie Lee Curtis. Her upcoming role is her first television lead. A release date and additional casting has not yet been announced.
