Deepshikha Nagpal says there is no shame in getting married thrice after two failed marriages: 'I don't make the same wrong choices again'

The actress admitted that there is nothing to blame on her ex-partners, but she attributes the failures to the wrong timing in her life.

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Deepshikha was asked whether she would consider getting married once again. She completely embraced the idea and admitted that there is nothing wrong with marrying more than once, as she has already gone through two divorces.
'I can get married three times, four times — I have no shame in this. At least I am living my life. When I see two people who don't get along...' she added. She also acknowledged that perhaps she wasn't the right person for her ex-partners, and vice versa.
'I always got married for the wrong reasons. You should always get married for the right reasons, so I can't blame the guy for everything. I think I'm a die-hard romantic. I believe in love, I believe in romance, I believe in marriage.

Parents' fighting each other
The 'Baadshah' actress shared how her parents used to fight and then reconcile the next morning, as they had a love-hate relationship. They never got divorced because of the love they still carried for each other, even during their arguments. Her parents used to write letters to each other saying they were divorcing, and one day Deepshikha asked them to marry someone else and move on.
'I believe everyone has the right to live their life. You don't have to be punished for one mistake for the rest of your life. Don't suffer. I know people talk badly about you. Nothing is easy. Being in the wrong relationship or a bad relationship is also a challenge for you,' she stated.
Moving on from failed marriaged
She shared that even after moving on from her first marriage and remarrying, things still didn't work out.
The actress revealed that her psychiatrist told her that her relationship pattern is different — she doesn't enter relationships easily, and it takes her a long time to get in and out of them. 'It takes me five to six years. I went on a guilt trip, but then I realised that I had to break the pattern. So I took help from the Buddhist art of living modality.

She began to understand why these things were happening to her, after exploring new approaches.
She did a course on Access Consciousness and discovered that many of her choices were influenced by a low life condition.
'I've raised my standards and energy so I don't make the same wrong choices again. I've worked on myself. So now, even if I've been single for seven years, I don't feel like, 'Oh my God, there's nobody.' It's okay. The right person will come. Now, I know what I want,' she revealed.
She was married to
Jeet Upendra
, and they separated in 2007. She then married Kaishav Arora in 2012 and got divorced in 2016.

Deepshikha Nagpal says doing B-grade films damaged her career, people in Bollywood judged her: 'The damage is done'
Actor Deepshikha Nagpal, known for her roles in Bollywood hits like Koyla, Baadshah, Dillagi, and Partner, recently opened up about her transition to television. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, she revealed that a few wrong film choices led to her being categorised in the industry, prompting her decision to explore opportunities on the small screen. (Also Read: Here's what Deepshikha is saying about her domestic abuse FIR against ex) When asked about a role she regretted doing, Deepshikha said she has immense love for all the roles and characters she has portrayed, as she is deeply passionate about her work. Although acting was never part of her initial plan, and she entered the industry by chance, she gave it her all once she became an actor. Reflecting on her career, she admitted to having made a few wrong choices when it came to selecting films, but maintained that she never disliked any of the roles she played. She recalled, "During that time, it used to be like if it's a new production, then it's a B-grade film, like Yash Raj and Subhash Ghai films were like A-list films. So it was difficult to understand how to choose. There was no godfather, and now I feel a godfather is very important to guide you. I made a lot of wrong film choices at that time. My grandfather used to say that no work is small or big, work is work. I think I took that too seriously, and I kept doing whatever work came my way. I did a lot of stupid films which never released." She talked about her transition to television and said, "Some of the releases had a very bad impact on my career. I had signed a lot of big films, but after my poster in the Trade Guide, people used to judge that it's a B-grade movie she is doing, and they didn't cast me. Then I got to know that the damage is done. I said, 'Can we just forget about it?' They said, 'No, it will impact our film. ' Then I started doing television shows. I was doing wrong films, people were not trusting me and categorising me that I cannot be an A-lister. So then I got frustrated. It was new then—Doordarshan, Zee TV—and roles were coming to me easily. Even after doing films, I was one of the few who took TV, and it helped me establish myself again." In the television industry, Deepshikha made her mark with negative roles in shows like Son Pari, Ramayan, Karishma – The Miracles of Destiny, Baalveer, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Santoshi Maa, and more. 'Housefull 5': Akshay Kumar's vulgar, offensive, unfunny film is the embodiment of everything wrong with Bollywood comedies today
Unlike comedies like Baadshah and Dhamaal, Housefull 5 is unable to strike the balance between carefully crafting a deliciously bizarre plot and then winking at it with all glee read more Once upon a time in Bollywood, filmmaker Sajid Khan envisioned a franchise called Housefull along with his friends Sajid Nadiadwala, Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Chunky Panday. It was anything but a classic or a memorable film but its commercial success made way for Housefull 2 and before we could blink or breathe, came June 6, 2025, and we now have Housefull 5 playing in the cinemas in two versions with three hours, two killers, and one disaster. Incoherence was always this franchise's forte but not innuendo. It's appalling sexual jokes and bad innuendo flow like stale wine throughout the running time. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The three men have done pretty solid comedy in the past (Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan). What about the ladies of Housefull? Purely for screen presence and skin show. There are disconnected and discomforting jokes about bodies and the number 69 that suggest Milap Zaveri wanted to make Masti 4 out of this but Tarun Mansukhani won the race by having a smoother and faster drive (no puns here). The decision to cast 19 actors in one film and weave a murder mystery around it feels more banal than brave. All of them are stuck on a crisis and a cruise so there's no running away. There's no running away from the staleness of the enterprise and the asinine assault on the brain cells due to the humourless gags that keep popping up either. Unlike comedies like Baadshah and Dhamaal, Housefull 5 is unable to strike the balance between carefully crafting a deliciously bizarre plot and then winking at it with all glee. The leading man Kumar and his vein popping mannerisms and preposterously revealing jokes are bordering on being exaggerated and excruciating. The effortlessness of Garam Masala and the recent Khel Khel Mein lacks here purely because of Farhad Samji's shockingly inept writing. And then there's the always reliable Riteish Deshmukh, and the perpetually self deprecating Chunky Panday, but the essence of their otherwise entertaining characters has been mercilessly snatched away. Which then brings us to two more key characters from the film- Shreyas Talpade and Chitrangda Singh. They both complete 20 years in the industry this year and had two of the greatest debuts for a Hindi film actor with the remarkable and rousing Iqbal and Hazaaron Khwahishen Aisi. Here, both the actors have tried their best to surrender to the blind vision of the makers. Chitrangda has a solid screen presence and if given a chance to sink her teeth into a role that contains a of flesh, she can chew it with all grin. Ditto for Talpade, an untapped and unexplored talent after a stunning and sensational turn right with his first moniker. And and and, Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt return to the big screen together with purposely dim-witted characters to evoke a sense of nostalgia and excitement. The Khalnayak background music swells to crescendo as if forcing the audiences to go back to 1993, even if we fail to recollect anything from that film except for the background music. The only actor who succeeds in at least putting a smile to your face is Nana Patekar, who laughs the least in this moronic mess. At least someone in this giant of a misfire realized what was coming, and that comedy is serious business. Now on to Housefull 6, box-office be damned! STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD
