A Kolkata-bound 6E 7562 Indigo flight from the Birsa Munda Airport, scheduled to depart at 7:40 am, got delayed by 18 minutes and took off at 7:58 am.
A Bengaluru-bound flight from the Birsa Airport got delayed by two minutes.
A Ranchi-bound Air India Express flight from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, scheduled to land at 10:10 am, arrived six minutes' late.
An IndiGo flight from Mumbai's Chatra Shivaji International Airport landed 56 minutes late in Ranchi.
Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport director R R Mourya said that a few flights arrived late at the airport due to the inclement weather.
"Most of the flights are operating at their scheduled time. Though a few got delayed, the delays were nominal. But no flights were cancelled on Tuesday," he added.
The Ranchi office of the
India Meteorological Department
issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall for 11 districts on Thursday and Friday under the influence of a low-pressure system developing over the Bay of Bengal.
The alert was issued for isolated places in Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Jamtara, Godda, Pakur, Sahibganj, Bokaro, Hazaribag, and Koderma districts.

Incessant rain disrupts bus service in Pune, grounds intercity trains to Mumbai too

MSRTC's Pune divisional controller Arun Siya said heavy rain in Mumbai caused bus delays, especially on the Mumbai-Pune route, leaving passengers frazzled. "But safety is paramount and cannot be compromised. Buses to other cities like Kolhapur and Solapur are also running late," he said. Trains passingthrough Nashik city cancelled or postponed
Nashik: Most trains passing through Nashik on Tuesday were either cancelled or delayed due to heavy rain and waterlogging in Mumbai over the past two days. The Panchavati Express, which on Monday was running half an hour late, did not reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) on Tuesday as the train was halted at Ghatkopar. Senior officials of Nashik Road railway station said numerous trains were cancelled or had their routes changed. Among these, the Mumbai Dhule Express, which starts from Mumbai, was cancelled. The Dhule Mumbai Express scheduled for Wednesday was also cancelled.
