YouTube reveals announcers, personalities for Chiefs vs. Chargers Week 1 game in Brazil
The Kansas City Chiefs-Los Angeles Chargers Week 1 game, streaming exclusively on YouTube Friday, Sept. 5 from Brazil, will be a non-traditional viewing experience with a somewhat familiar broadcasting crew. Kay Adams will be onsite to host the pregame and postgame shows, with former quarterback Cam Newton – who now hosts a popular podcast on YouTube – alongside her. Ex-NFLers Derek Carr, Brandon Marshall and Tyrann Mathieu will join the pregame show from NFL Network's studios in Los Angeles, as will fantasy football creator Peter Overzet. The postgame show will feature Adams, Newton, Dales and "Deestroying" from São Paulo. Terry McAuley, NBC's rules official, will join the stream in the same role. A Spanish stream will be available, with René Giraldo on play-by-play and former NFL kicker Edgar Lopez providing color commentary. The pregame show begins on the NFL's official YouTube page at 7 p.m. ET with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
