Driver of Ctour Holiday Van Involved in Idaho Crash Was Licensed in California
WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont.—Idaho State Police said Saturday that the driver of the tour van involved in a deadly collision with a pickup truck was licensed in California and the company that organized the trip was Ctour Holiday LLC, a large tour operator that provides international travel services.
The pickup truck driver and six people in the Mercedes van were killed in the crash, which occurred Thursday evening on U.S. Highway 20 near Henry's Lake State Park in eastern Idaho as the tour group was headed to Yellowstone National Park.
Police identified the pickup driver as 25-year-old Isaih Moreno of Humble, Texas. They have not said whether the driver of the van was among the dead.
Ctour Holiday did not immediately respond Saturday to messages seeking comment.
The van passengers included 12 people of Chinese nationality and one Italian. Police said they were working closely with Ctour Holiday and in contact with the two countries' consulates.
The Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco said via email that five Chinese citizens were killed and eight were injured.

The crash remains under investigation, and police said the bodies would be taken to the Ada County Coroner's Office for autopsies and formal confirmation of their identities.
Three people were seriously injured: Two were flown to an Idaho Falls hospital and one to a hospital in Bozeman, Montana, according to police. Information on their conditions was not released, and the hospitals did not immediately respond to messages seeking updates.
Others were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
'Due to privacy considerations, no information regarding the medical status of the injured will be released,' police said in a statement.

MCPARC seeking information after marijuana-themed graffiti found on rail trail
FAIRMONT, (WBOY) — Marion County Parks and Recreation (MCPARC) is asking for the public's help after marijuana-themed graffiti was recently found along the West Fork Rail Trail. According to a Facebook post from MCPARC, the graffiti is located on the bridge that crosses the West Fork River near the Norway neighborhood, which is just west of Fairmont. MCPARC said that these 'senseless acts' cost time and money to repair and that the perpetrator will be prosecuted if they're caught. Alert issued for disguised Chinese vaping products targeting West Virginia kids MCPARC added in the comment section of the post that more vulgar pieces of graffiti were omitted from the post and could be found 'all over the railings' in several places. Local trailgoers also took to the comments, with one claiming that the graffiti wasn't present when they traveled through on June 4. 2 face federal charges in stalking, harassment of L.A. artist critical of Chinese President Xi
Two foreign nationals are accused of stalking a Los Angeles artist who is a critic of Chinese President Xi Jinping. 'Cui Guanghai, 43, of China, and John Miller, 63, of the U.K. and a U.S. lawful permanent resident, were charged with interstate stalking, conspiracy to commit interstate stalking, smuggling and violating the Arms Export Control Act,' the Los Angeles Times reports, citing information from the U.S. Department of Justice. The DOJ said in a news release that the charges of smuggling out military weaponry come from Milwaukee, but the stalking charges relate to an unnamed artist who planned to protest a 2023 appearance by Xi at an economic summit and who made 'artistic statues of President Xi and his wife' to be unveiled this year, prosecutors said. In both instances, Cui and Miller hired a pair of others to do the actual work, prosecutors said, including orders to 'surveil the victim, to install a tracking device on the victim's car, to slash the tires on the victim's car, and to purchase and destroy a pair of artistic statues created by the victim depicting President Xi and President Xi's wife.' A different pair of people was utilized in 2025 to try to dissuade the artist from showing new statues online, the DOJ said. Unfortunately for Cui and Miller, all four of those people they hired for assistance in Southern California were 'affiliated with and acting at the direction of the FBI,' the DOJ explained. In the release, several high-ranking federal officials expressed their support for protecting free-speech rights of U.S. residents against foreign interference, as well as protecting sensitive technology used by the American military. 'This is a blatant assault on both our national security and our democratic values,' said Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. 'This Justice Department will not tolerate foreign repression on U.S. soil, nor will we allow hostile nations to infiltrate or exploit our defense systems. We will act decisively to expose and dismantle these threats wherever they emerge.' If convicted, Cui and Miller could face decades in federal prison.
