Preity Zinta is one of the co-owners of the Indian Premier League cricket team Punjab Kings alongside Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia and Karan Paul.
When it comes to winning hearts off the field, Preity Zinta is clearly an all-rounder. The actress, who is one of the co-owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team Punjab Kings alongside Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia and Karan Paul, recently gave her fans a moment they won't forget. During one of the team's matches, Preity surprised the crowd by personally distributing the team's jerseys to the fans cheering for Punjab Kings at the stadium.
A video of the event shows Preity tossing the jerseys towards the fans on every side to make sure no one misses out on grabbing one. Before she left, Preity sealed the moment with a sweet flying kiss to her fans.

Though she was busy spreading joy in the stands, Preity didn't hold back when it came to speaking up for her team after a loss. Punjab Kings faced Delhi Capitals but lost the game by six wickets which brought a big blow to their chances of qualifying in the top two. The defeat came after a controversial decision by the third umpire that went against Punjab Kings.
The moment came in the 15th over of Punjab Kings' innings. On the last ball, Shashank Singh hit a powerful shot that went over the boundary which looked like a six. The crowd and players seemed convinced it was a clear maximum. Moreover, Karun Nair, who was fielding right near the boundary rope, signalled that the ball had crossed the fence after trying to stop it.
But when the third umpire reviewed the footage, he found no clear evidence that Nair's foot had touched or crossed the boundary line during his catch attempt. Due to this, the shot was not counted as a six. Instead, Punjab Kings were awarded just a single run.
Replying to a fan's tweet on X, Preity revealed that she had spoken to Karun Nair who said that the ball had clearly crossed the boundary fence. 'In such a high profile tournament with so much technology at the Third Umpire's disposal such mistakes are unacceptable & simply shouldn't happen. I spoke To Karun after the game & he confirmed it was DEFINITELY a 6 ! I rest my case ! #PBKSvsDC #IPL2025," she wrote.

In other news, the actress is preparing for her return to the big screen with the much-awaited film Lahore 1947, where she stars opposite Sunny Deol. It will mark her comeback after being away from films for a while.

'9 IPL trophies in the Pandya household!' Krunal calls Hardik after POTM win in RCB's 1st title victory

After being asked to bat first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) managed to post only 190 runs on the board in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final against Punjab Kings (PBKS). However, the pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad seemed to behave differently in the second innings — especially when Krunal Pandya came on to bowl and defend what many critics had deemed a below-par total. In his four-over spell, the spinner delivered a match-winning performance, conceding just 17 runs at an economy of 4.20 and taking two key wickets — opener Prabhsimran Singh (26 off 22) and Josh Inglis (39 off 23), both looking dangerous. For his crucial contribution in helping RCB lift their maiden IPL trophy, Krunal was awarded the Player of the Match. But in this format, you need guts to do that because the margin of error is small. I just backed myself and thought if I varied my pace and kept it on the slower side, I could create chances instead of just firing it in." He added: "My biggest strength has always been reading the situation. I back my gut and instincts. Today, I knew if I wanted to take a couple of wickets, I had to be brave. If you bowled quick on this surface, it would've been a good batting pitch. But varying the pace helped. It got slightly better in the second innings compared to the first." After three and a half months, I'm glad I could fulfil what I said on Day 1." What he said next struck an emotional chord with fans: "It's been a great 10 years — four IPL trophies. I told Hardik on the phone, now there are nine IPL trophies in the Pandya household in 10 years." About RCB's victory PBKS openers started strong, but RCB kept striking at key moments. The game turned with Krunal Pandya's brilliant spell. Romario Shepherd's key wicket of Shreyas Iyer, who failed to fire, also swung momentum. Despite PBKS's deep batting lineup, the run rate climbed steadily. Marcus Stoinis hit a six but fell on the very next ball, Nehal Wadhera holed out, and RCB's bowlers — Josh Hazlewood and Yash Dayal — kept it tight in the end, despite Shashank Singh's efforts to retain strike. Apart from an early drop, RCB's fielding was sharp, with Phil Salt setting the tone with a superb catch. In a pressure final, RCB outplayed PBKS with smart bowling, disciplined fielding, and calm execution — finally lifting their first IPL trophy.
