Teen sensations Yamal and Mastantuono need space to develop, says Trezeguet
ASUNCION :Barcelona's Lamine Yamal and River Plate's Franco Mastantuono are dazzling fans at just 17, but must be allowed to develop without excessive pressure to reach their potential, former France striker David Trezeguet said Wednesday.
"Yamal is a pure, unique talent, a player who has proven to be different from the rest. He grew up in Barcelona's academy, where the 'Lionel Messi' identity is very present, so these kids copy that format," Trezeguet, a World Cup winner with France in 1998, told reporters.
Mastantuono, River Plate's attacking midfielder who is making waves in Argentina, is "demonstrating all his qualities at a very young age," Trezeguet added.
Yamal is the youngest player to debut and score for Spain.
With Barcelona, he has already won the Spanish league, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup. He also won the European Championship with Spain.
Trezeguet, a former River Plate player, where Mastantuono made his debut in January last year, emphasised that both players "are great to watch" because of the way they play and the way they "express their talent".
"They'll have time to perfect everything else. They're young. But I think it's important for football in general to have this type of player who serves as an example for the younger players."
Juan Pablo Sorin, who played for both River Plate and Barcelona, said he would like to see both players continue their development.
"I don't like comparisons, because I think it's like limiting the player who's emerging. It's the same thing that happened to Lamine and Leo (Messi)," the former Argentina defender told Reuters.
"It's true that the position is similar, but I think the characteristics are different, and I think each player has their own potential, qualities, and areas for improvement," he added.
Both Trezeguet and Sorin said River Plate fans should make the most of Mastantuono's time there as he would likely continue his career in Europe soon.
The Argentine, who has been linked with Real Madrid, shone in River Plate's victory over Boca Juniors last month, scoring a free kick.
"We have to let them complete all the stages. They have to play, have fun, and continue to show off their talent and their audacity. They have a lot of personality," Sorin said.
"What really catches my attention about both of them is how effective they are with the number of balls they touch. They make most of them effective, and that's impressive for their age," he added.

He tested Andorra keeper Iker Alvarez with a curling shot and set up a couple of other chances, one for Jude Bellingham who like most of England's team, looked flat and well off the pace after a long season. Kane wasted England's best chance in the first half, shooting wide from close range after another dangerous ball by Madueke had been turned back by Curtis Jones. If anyone was going to break the stalemate it was likely to be Kane, however, and he did so in the 50th minute, stabbing a shot high into the net after his initial effort was saved and Madueke was alert to whip the rebound to his skipper. Tuchel is the first England coach to win his first three games in charge without conceding a goal, but he did not try to put any gloss on a poor display. "We are not happy of course," he said. "We lost the momentum completely after the first 25 minutes and couldn't get it back.

Marc Marquez beats brother Alex in Aragon for seventh sprint win of season
Ducati's world championship leader Marc Marquez recovered from a poor start to win Saturday's sprint at the Aragon Grand Prix ahead of his brother Alex and Fermin Aldeguer of Gresini Racing for an all-Spanish podium on home soil. Marc's seventh sprint victory of the season in eight rounds moved him 27 points clear of Alex in the championship, with the Ducati rider winning by more than two seconds. Marc had broken the lap record in qualifying to take pole but he started poorly, losing traction due to wheelspin, to briefly drop to fourth when he was shoulder-barged aside by Pedro Acosta. Alex, meanwhile, shot off the line to take the lead going into turn one but Marc moved up to second with a neat overtake on turn one of the second lap, setting his sights on Alex. The younger brother managed to hold on for a few laps but Marc pounced once again on turn one, diving in on the inside at the start of the sixth lap to take first place as the home crowd roared in appreciation. "I had a small problem in the start because I started spinning the rear tyre and then I was able to manage and not lose a lot of positions," Marc said. "My plan was try to lead from the beginning until the end but I saw that Alex was pushing a lot on the first two-three laps. That was my weak point, with the soft rear tyre. "(But I) was calm and then in the end of the race the feeling was great, it was perfect." Once Marc moved into the lead, the two brothers disappeared into the distance, even as Marc continued to widen the gap, while Alex's Gresini team mate Aldeguer reeled in Franco Morbidelli and eased past him to take third with three laps left. VR46 Racing's Morbidelli finished fourth and Red Bull KTM's Acosta pipped Fabio Di Giannantonio to fifth place. Marc's team mate and twice MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia had another race to forget as the Italian, who started fourth on the grid, finished 12th as he continued to struggle with his Ducati bike.
