Connected by our nature - Brentford unveil 2025/26 away kit

Yahoo3 days ago
Brentford has launched the club's new away kit for the 2025/26 season in partnership with official kit partner Joma.
The kit is available to purchase online now, and in our new club shop, The Hive Superstore from 10am.
As with the 2025/26 home strip, fans can purchase an authentic shirt, worn by players on the pitch to elevate performance, as well as a replica shirt.
Celebrating the bee
The new away kit celebrates Brentford's connection with the bees which goes back to the early part of the 20th century.
The new brown away shirt features gold-coloured detailing and marks the first time the club has used our single Brentford bee logo. It features a bee-wing pattern throughout the shirt. Gold detailing is also seen across the collar, which has a special 'Bees' logo on the back, as well as the sleeves.
The authentic shirt is created with a jacquard weave. Intricate designs are woven directly into the fabric rather than being printed or embroidered. This technique and the micro-mesh ventilation panels help keep the kit lightweight and breathable, so players' bodies stay dry even during peak performance.
To support our efforts to be more sustainable, replica away shirts are made of 100 per cent recycled polyester. Using recycled polyester prevents materials from being sent to landfills and requires less energy than conventional polyester.
The away men's first-team shirt features this season's front-of-shirt partner Hollywoodbets and Cazoo as our sleeve partner. Kits for the Brentford B team, Brentford Women and academy teams will feature Cazoo as the main shirt sponsor and PensionBee on the sleeve.
Connected by our nature
The new away shirt launches with a campaign film paying homage to our history as 'the Bees'.
Men's first-team players Mikkel Damsgaard, Yehor Yarmoliuk, Michael Kayode and Brentford Women players Nikki Woods and Lucy Potter all feature in the film set in the nearby Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Looking ahead to the new season, the film draws inspiration from the buff-tailed bumblebee, the bee that is featured within the club crest.
Its traits of resilience, adaptability, determination, purpose, and connection mirror the spirit Brentford brings to the pitch and local community.
The narrative celebrates the hive-like unity of the club and its supporters – a unified collective where every individual plays an important role, just like bees working together for protection, regeneration, and success.
Purchase your away shirt
As with the club's home shirt - which celebrates 100 years of Brentford players in red and white - the away shirt adult price is frozen at £65 in our ongoing commitment to affordable football. Junior shirts will also be available at a reduced price of £45, down from the 2024/25 season.
In line with the Premier League's voluntary ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsors, this season's home and away strips will follow a one-year cycle as our partnership with front-of-shirt partner Hollywoodbets will come to an end after the 2025/26 season.

Bees 'hold all the cards' on Wissa's future

Much has been written about Yoane Wissa and his apparent desire to go on strike to force a move away from Brentford. We will only know the truth when we see if Wissa turns up for training this week. One thing I am sure about, though, is that Brentford never would have promised Wissa a year ago that he could leave this summer. Everybody knew this would be the time when Bryan Mbeumo would move on and the club would not have agreed to let them both go at the same time. Things may have been different if record signing Igor Thiago, who barely played last campaign following a pre-season injury, had been fit. Last year would have been the Brazilian's settling-in season, but as he is a year behind schedule, Wissa's Premier League experience is still very much needed. In the past, Brentford sold players way too cheaply, but no longer. We hold all the cards here, with a one-year option in the club's favour meaning Wissa is still effectively under contract for two more seasons. However, the Bees always say every player has a valuation and if that is met then we are open to selling, but that could be why a figure of £50m has been mentioned - to put off clubs. Thiago is the main striking alternative but winger Kevin Schade could play through the middle. However, if Wissa goes then another experienced Premier League striker will be needed. This season is hard to predict, as nobody knows whether Keith Andrews is a good manager - only time will tell. Losing Christian Norgaard, in particular, was a massive blow but Jordan Henderson is a good and clever replacement. Everybody will write us off but I am optimistic that, given the talent we have, we will still be a Premier League club in 12 months' time. Find more from Ian Westbrook at Beesotted podcast

Manchester United ready to make move for Brentford's £15m-rated target

Manchester United faced many challenges in their bid to get the Bryan Mbeumo deal over the line. It is understood Brentford changed their asking price for Mbeumo several time during negotiations. The Bees also preferred the winger to join Tottenham Hotspur or Newcastle United over United. After much frustration, United's third offer, worth an initial £65m with £6m in add-ons, was accepted last week. Now, the Red Devils might have an opportunity to return the favour by making things tricky for the London outfit in their chase for a striker. Manchester United to battle Brentford for Gueye According to The Sun, United have entered the race to sign FC Metz whizkid Idrissa Gueye, prepared to 'hijack' Brentford's bid for their priority target. Mbeumo scored 20 goals in the Premier League for Brentford. As such, his departure has left a gaping hole in their attack. Further, Yoane Wissa is also pushing to leave the Gtech Community Stadium. It is claimed new manager Keith Andrews 'feels he can put one over United chief Ruben Amorim by landing Senegalese kid Gueye.' However, the fierce competition from United has 'forced Bees chief to now look at matching his French club's £15m asking price.' The 18-year-old striker only moved to Metz from Génération Foot in January. However, his agility and finishing ability have quickly made him one of the most sought-after talents in Europe. While Brentford could offer a quicker route to regular Premier League football to Gueye, United 'only see him as a long-term project.' Under Ineos, the Red Devils have intensified their attempts to add up-and-coming talents to the club's ranks. Manchester United want Brentford academy director Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United are 'undertaking an extensive search to find the 'best-in-class' replacement' for Nick Cox, who is set to leave the club to join Everton as their technical director. Interestingly, the Mancunians are considering the appointment of Brentford academy director Stephen Torpey to succeed Cox. Brentford appointed Torpey as their academy director in January 2024. The hierarchy at the London club would not be happy at losing him so quickly, and that too to United. Featured image Alex Livesey via Getty Images Follow us on Bluesky: @

Yoane Wissa wants to play for Newcastle United, but refuses to continue with Brentford.

Getty Images Press reports close to Newcastle United have revealed that the English club is close to signing one of the Premier League's most prominent attacking players, Yoane Wissa, who plays as a striker. In a dramatic development, Daily Mail's Craig Hope reveals Yoane Wissa has officially severed ties with Brentford, declaring he won't represent the club again. The Congolese attacker's forceful stance delivers a significant advantage to Newcastle United, who have been persistently pursuing the 28-year-old forward. Since arriving at the Community Stadium in 2021, Wissa's career trajectory has shown remarkable progression. Initially struggling to cement a starting role, the versatile attacker has transformed into one of Thomas Frank's most reliable performers in recent seasons, making his current standoff with the Bees particularly noteworthy. This bold move from Wissa accelerates Newcastle's long-standing interest, potentially paving the way for a swift resolution to the transfer saga as the Magpies look to bolster their attacking options. Newcastle are actively pursuing attacking reinforcements, with Yoane Wissa emerging as their prime target. The Congolese forward represents both short-term depth and potential long-term solution, capable of deputizing for Alexander Isak or potentially replacing him should the Swede depart. Sources indicate advanced negotiations on personal terms with the 28-year-old, who has formally requested his Brentford exit. Wissa claims the club previously agreed to sanction his departure at a reasonable fee - a promise he now expects them to honor. While Brentford recognize their player's desire to join Newcastle, talks have stalled over the £50m+ valuation. With the deal at an impasse, Newcastle have begun exploring backup options as contingency planning. The situation remains fluid, but Wissa's public stance has undeniably strengthened Newcastle's bargaining position.
