EXCLUSIVE Secrets of ageless Brad Pitt's 'facelift' shared by top plastic surgeons

Daily Mail16-07-2025
Brad Pitt is back in the spotlight, and so are his remarkably youthful looks.
Fans have gone wild over his new movie F1, where he plays a nomadic racer for hire, but it's the 61-year-old's age-defying appearance that have stolen the show.
'Brad Pitt got a facelift,' one viewer wrote on social media, while a second said, 'the surgeon who did [his] facelift should be the richest person on Earth'.
Now, DailyMail.com has spoken to three plastic surgeons to uncover the rejuvenating procedures the star may have received.
Despite the suggestions, each said he likely did not receive a facelift, saying they couldn't see the typical giveaway signs of taut skin, squinting eyes and scars around the ear.
Instead, they suggested it was much more likely that he had received fat transfers or fillers into the mid-face to boost volume and make him appear younger.
Dr Michael Bassiri-Tehrani, a facial plastic surgeon in New York City, said: 'This is a subtle touch-up procedure that tends to be more desirable, especially if you are in the public eye.
'This is because it means... a less drastic change in your appearance, which is important, especially for someone who is in movies and whose face is their identity and their brand.'
Brad first debuted his incredibly youthful new looks in September last year, which again sparked speculation from fans about a potential facelift.
Sources close to the star denied rumors that he had had a facelift, or received any other procedures to DailyMail.com.
The plastic surgeons did not treat or get the chance to examine Brad in person, and instead based their comments on photos and videos of the star online.
Dr Barry Weintraub, a top facelift surgeon in New York City who examined the above two pictures of the star, told this website: 'Looking straight at these images, it is clear that he is handsome as hell.
'But I do also notice that in the later photo his face is fuller, and that would either be from fat transfers or a variety of fillers that were used.
'It could also be simply because he gained weight, because that can also lead to more fullness appearing in the face.'
He added: 'As you get older, you start to lose volume in your own face... so placing volume back into it is a great way to add youth, and I think that is what was done here.'
Surgeons said he'd likely received the filler or fat transfers into the cheeks and jawline to add volume to these areas.
They said that overall it was more likely this was fat, typically taken from the abdomen or thighs, because this is longer lasting and can trigger a more natural result.
Many celebrities also opt for blepharoplasties, a procedure to remove skin above the eyes to make someone appear more youthful.
But all three surgeons said Brad had avoided this, which was a good move because it didn't lead to a drastic change in his appearance.
Dr Gary Linkov, a plastic surgeon also in New York City, said: 'I still don't see great proof that he's had a facelift. His hairline area looks ok to me, and I don't see any clear evidence for me.
'But it is possible that he might have had a fat transfer or filler to the midface.
'I mentioned a few years ago that he may have had that procedure, so it's definitely possible that he did something like that again.'
Dr Adam Scheiner, a cosmetic surgeon in Florida and author of 2017 book 'The True Definition of Beauty', said Brad may appear so youthful because of how someone views a person's face.
'When we look at a person's face, our brains focus on the eye and mouth region first and the skin and facial contours area second.
'So it tends to be much more dramatic when someone has the eyes or mouth worked on, whereas if it's on other areas it tends to be much more subtle — like the work we see here.'
Brad has not commented on any recent work he may have, but he has repeatedly spoken about aging — saying after he turned 60 years old that he was starting to feel his own mortality.
Surgeons have previously suggested that Brad has been receiving fillers and Botox during the years to maintain his youthful appearance.
Although this has never been confirmed by the celebrity.
Surgeons suggested too that Brad may be maintaining his skin using moisturizers, micro-needling and other procedures.

Martin Brundle in Ozzy Osbourne tribute at Belgian GP – 'My favourite grid walk guest'

Ozzy Osbourne made a memorable appearance on Martin Brundle's Formula 1 grid walk more than 20 years ago and the Sky Sports favourite paid tribute to the rocker on Sunday Martin Brundle began his grid walk at the Belgian Grand Prix with a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. The rock legend died last week, aged 76, less than three weeks after his farewell concert with his band Black Sabbath in Birmingham. ‌ Osbourne was loved by millions worldwide and also captured the hearts of Formula 1 fans many years ago with a memorable appearance on one of Brundle's pre-race grid walks. The broadcaster usually spends some time walking up and down the grid before a Grand Prix to speak with famous faces. ‌ A particularly memorable walk happened when Osbourne was a VIP guest at the 2003 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. Many reporters tried to speak with him but Brundle, working for ITV at the time, managed to get to the front of the queue – not that he could get much sense out of the rocker. ‌ And he had to cut the interview short when Osbourne swore unexpectedly, in an exchange which Brundle later reflected upon. The Brit said: "He wasn't fully with it, shall we say. I asked him a question and he gave me a very long, incomprehensible answer. "I said to him, 'I'll try and think of a question to that, but in the meantime how are the dogs?' And he said, 'They are at home s****** on the carpets.' It went out live to millions of people and I got in trouble because I was supposed to have known he would swear if I asked that question." That memorable moment resurfaced on social media in the days after Osbourne's death last week. And Brundle took the opportunity to say a few words about the departed music legend as he began his grid walk ahead of Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix at a rain-soaked Circuit Spa-Francorchamps. Speaking live on Sky Sports, the broadcaster said: "A quick word for probably my most favourite ever grid walk guest: Ozzy Osbourne. Condolences to your family and friends, we will miss you. Rest in peace I don't think quite fits for Ozzy Osbourne." ‌ While Osbourne may have landed Brundle in a bit of bother with his loose language, he did at least engage with the broadcaster, who has branded his grid walks in general as "car crash television". While many stars are happy to converse with the ex-F1 driver on the grid, some have notoriously snubbed him. Earlier this year, he told the Daily Mail: "The grid walk actually really annoys me because that's what I'm known for now. The whole thing is still a mystery. I won a lot of races as a driver and was on the F1 podium. I was World Sportscar Champion, winner at Le Mans, beat Ayrton Senna a lot of times in F3. "I was a reasonably handy racing driver and I'm a reasonably handy commentator but all I'm going to be remembered for is getting ignored on the grid by the Megan Thee Stallion and other people I'd never heard of until that moment. It's quite a funny thing but I can't knock it, heading towards 66, I'm lucky to still be in live sport and that's why I was pleased with the OBE because it wasn't an OBE just for grid-walking."

Christian Horner reveals his plans for first F1 race since Red Bull axe

Red Bull axed Christian Horner after 20 years as team principal and chief executive of the F1 team last week, meaning the Belgian Grand Prix is the first event he has missed in 406 races Axed Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner took to social media to show fans what he was up to on the first race Sunday since he was dismissed. A tongue-in-cheek post on his Instagram story showed the 51-year-old was not just sitting around watching the F1 action. ‌ Horner was in charge of Red Bull Racing for 20 years, having taken over before the team's debut on the grid in 2005. And he famously never failed to travel for a single race during that period, but is not at Spa-Francorchamps for this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix. ‌ For the first time in 406 F1 races, Horner has had to make alternative plans. A lover of horses as well as motor racing, he decided to explore his other passion having had the leadership of the Red Bull team taken away from him without warning. ‌ A video posted on his account shows Horner riding a horse along a country lane, and then an image of him posing atop his steed in front of a barn. He poked fun at his situation with a light-hearted caption, which read: "Different horse power this Sunday." Horner was replaced at Red Bull by Laurent Mekies, who stepped up from his previous role as team principal at sister squad Racing Bulls. The Frenchman got off to an ideal start on Saturday as Max Verstappen won the Sprint race in Belgium. While he holds both the team principal and chief executive titles, Mekies will have much less power than Horner previously did at the team. Adviser Helmut Marko confirmed as much when he said: "We were able to bring Laurent Mekies into the family. His responsibilities will be significantly reduced, with the main focus being on racing." Mekies knows that his first big job as Red Bull Racing boss is to ensure that the team keeps hold of its star driver for as long as possible. Intense speculation has suggested Verstappen could quit for rivals Mercedes by exercising a release clause in his current contract, which expires in 2028. ‌ It is understood that Verstappen is likely to stick with Red Bull for now, rather than leave ahead of the 2026 season. But Mekies is fully aware that the Dutchman is likely to go wherever the quickest car available is so he can add to his four F1 titles so far. "I'm sure Max wants a fast car and if we get him a fast car, I'm sure it's cancelling out all the other considerations," he said in his first press conference as Red Bull boss at Spa-Francorchamps on Friday. "So really the focus is very much to try to get to know the team as quickly as possible in order to see how we can support, how we can build the next step of competitiveness in order to get a fast car and hence to make it an easy call for Max."

Gwyneth Paltrow told pals Brad Pitt is 'dumber than a sack of s***', new book claims

Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt met while filming for David Fincher's Se7en, with the two falling head over heels for each other A new book about Gwyneth Paltrow's life as a Hollywood actress has claimed the Marvel star thought ex-fiancé Brad Pitt was 'dumber than a sack of s**t'. The duo met each other while filming for David Fincher's iconic movie, Se7en, in 1994 and quickly fell head over heels for each other. ‌ Brad popped the question in 1996 but their relationship soon crumbled and they split not long after. Gwyneth and Brad have no bad blood with each other, and the View From The Top actress even admitted her father, Bruce Paltrow, was "devastated" when they went their separate ways. ‌ Speaking to Howard Stern in 2015, she said: "He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt!" She also explained: "My father loved him like a son. I was such a kid. ‌ "I was 22 when we met. It's taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can't make that decision when you're 22 years old. I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me." In 1998, a year after his split from Gwyneth, Brad started dating Jennifer Aniston. The two, who married in 2000, became Hollywood's "it" couple before their divorce in 2005. ‌ When a reporter asked Gwyneth how she felt about him marrying Jennifer, she answered: "Are you really asking me this question? I can't comment on this kind of thing." However, in Amy Odell's new book Gwyneth, it was claimed she told friends she was upset when she learned about the marriage. Gwyneth was said to have told friends that Brad had "terrible taste in women". ‌ A few years after her split from Brad, she became the face of Estee Lauder and formed a friendship with the founder's daughter, Aerin Lauder. According to the book, she told Aerin during a dinner: "He's dumber than a sack of s***." In 2020, Gwyneth told Harper's Bazaar she didn't have 'any really bad blood' with any of her ex partners, adding: 'I'm friendly with Brad Pitt.' ‌ She and Brad even did an interview together in 2022, where they discussed his involvement with her Goop product, God's True Cashmere. 'I finally found the Brad I was supposed to marry. It just took me 20 years,' she joked while referring to her husband, Brad Falchuk. Brad discussed his happiness for Gwyneth and told her: "It's lovely to have you as a friend now … and I do love you," before she answered: "I love you so much."
