The Haunted Apartment: Miss K (2025) Ending Explained – Who are the spirits?

The Haunted Apartment: Miss K Plot Summary
Welcome to Hell. Or, well, I guess an Indonesian branch of it situated right in the heart of Surabaya. Here, we're introduced to the infamous Apartment 610, which holds a terrifying secret.
Anyone who enters sees a strange girl wearing white with long, stringy black hair. She looks over and whispers 'four days'. No, it's not Samara from The Ring deciding to spice things up, these are brand new ghosts, and they don't take kindly to visitors.
When Alma and her sister find themselves stumbling into Apartment 610, and are given four days left to live, they need to scramble and figure out how to lift the curse, otherwise they too could be next.
What brings Alma and Mia to Surabaya?
After her mother is hospitalized, Alma struggles to run the family restaurant. It's on the verge of closure but Alma just won't give up, despite her daughter Mia similarly struggling. Her boyfriend, Rayyan, offers Alma a lifeline though. In exchange for selling the restaurant, she can move to Surabaya with him and have a fresh start.
Alma and her daughter leave and take up Yan's offer, although we also learn there's unresolved issues with Alma's father, who was abusive and hit her mum.
How do Alma and Mia get cursed?
Alma moves to Surabaya and gets a job managing the reception desk of the apartment block where the mutilation happened a month prior. This ties into the opening prologue of the movie, and despite the floors dripping, the sixth floor being out of commotion and a murder taking place, the apartment blocks are allowed to stay open.
Tomake matters worse, Alma and Mia actually stay in the apartment block (on the third floor), which is how Alma and Mia start living in the same haunted apartment.
When complaints trickle down (no pun intended) of water leaking from the ceiling, Alma heads up to check it out while on her shift. Unfortunately, she finds the infamous Miss K and her daughter by the bath of the apartment, giving her four days to live after inviting them in.
Who are the spirits?
Rayyan actually works as a detective so while all this is going on, he gets to work investigating the Unit 610 murders. If he solves this case, he may be promoted. Four years back someone was mutilated on the sixth floor. Against his better judgment, he also heads in to take a look around and gets infected too.
This spirit happens to be of Jeng Kanti, who was a dancer and only child to her strict but loving mother, Kusuma. Recognizing hr daughter's talent, she gets her a custom mask for her performances but unfortunately, when Kusuma finds out that Kanti is pregnant, she kicks him out the house.
In love and refusing to listen to reason, Kusuma demands her daughter get an abortion or leave. So naturally, Kanti is banished from the house.
Jeng Kanti never returned and most of Kanti's things were burned. Except for the mask used in that performance, whichthe pair take back to Surabaya with them.
Who killed Kanti?
Alma and Rayyan consult with Mr Sukmo, the psychic, who believes they need to find the original killer, which happens to be Kanti's husband, and uncover where the missing bodies are.
Kanti and her daughter Kirani are now haunting the apartment, and the owners of the block, a married couple named Wulan and Aiman, are the culprits behind their deaths. They've been covering it up this whole time and when Rayyan and Alma, find out, they're knocked out and left in separate rooms. Sukmo is also knocked out, and left in the bath, while Mia is in an adjacent room.
Rayyan and Alma get out and also save Mia too. After waking up Sukmo, he puts the mask on and we learn that Aiman was close to Kanti and called her Miss K. This is the person she fell in love with. Aiman was abusive and after being discovered having an affair with Wulan, it escalates fast and that's what led to him killing Kanti and her daughter.
Aiman covered everything up by hacking Kanti to pieces and abusing her body across four days burying the pair behind the wall in Unit 610, placing a wardrobe in front to make it seem like everything is fine.
How is the curse lifted?
Sukmo passes away after discovering this big exposition dump and not long after, Wulan and Aiman attack. The fight spills over to the basement. Whilst there, Candra, Rayyan's police partner, is shot dead when he shows up to help out.
Alma and Rayyan eventually scramble up to Unit 610 and begin smashing the wall, managing to break the bodies out, just as Kanti and Kirani come out from the bath. Bringing the bodies out from the wall allows the curse to be lifted, and the family are allowed to go in peace.
As for Wulan and Aiman, they're attacked by the spirits who get their revenge.
How does Haunted Apartment: Miss K end?
With the spirits finally avenged and free, Rayyan, Alma and Mia head out to pay their respects at Kanti and Kirani's gravestone. There's still unresolved drama with Miss K though, and until they manage to resolve this with Kanti's mother, the pair are destined to keep haunting the apartment.
Turns out though that this story is apparently based on a true tale regarding a haunted apartment in Surabaya. There are reports that residents have often seen Miss K and her daughter wandering about, with frequent sounds of crying heard at night. That is, until the apartments have been left abandoned.
As for the spirits? Well, they'll be hanging around Apartment 610… or maybe just waiting for Netflix to greenlight a sequel.

Coronation Street fans slam Eileen Grimshaw's ‘ridiculous' exit as she waves goodbye to the cobbles after 25 years

CORONATION Street fans were left baffled by Eileen Grimshaw's emotional farewell tonight after 25 years. Eileen, played by Sue Cleaver, told her heartbroken boyfriend George she didn't love him anymore before hopping in a cab with son Jason and announcing: 'I'm moving to Thailand.' 4 4 4 A cheery Eileen was waved off outside the Rovers after a few drinks with her Streetcars co-workers Steve and Tim. Eileen was greeted to a big treat by the Street Cars drivers, who beeped as she drove away. George was left in tears, having confronted Eileen with his suspicions that she wasn't attracted to him anymore. George was due to fly to Thailand with Eileen - and fans couldn't believe he'd throw away the money he spent on the ticket. Others slammed the idea of Eileen as a barmaid in Thailand, and moving halfway across the world on a whim. 'It's hilarious how they make moving so simple in soaps… 'She couldn't just up and leave to live permanently in Thailand without the correct visa,' one fan wrote. 'Can't see Eileen as a Thai barmaid,' another added, while a third joked: 'Seems they're giving Eileen a boring, miserable exit!' Long-time viewers also felt the storyline was a letdown compared to Eileen's dramatic past. 'Remember when Eileen got her head stuck in the railings? This has been mostly dull and miserable — which sums up Eileen in recent years,' one fan said. Even George's tearful goodbye was mocked, as one said:'George! You're not a murderer, a liar, thief, womaniser… that's why Eileen isn't interested in you, hon!' She also made the decision to make a fresh start in Thailand after being worn down by being suspected in her sister Julie's tragic death. In Friday's episode, Eileen's mind is turned to leaving the cobbles after hearing Theo's impassioned speech to his daughter Millie. Theo explains to his teenage daughter, that he can't return to live with her mum, his ex, because "it didn't feel right," after realising he was attracted to men and wanted to see where is his relationship with Todd went. George realised how Theo's speech moved Eileen and went to confront her after she'd been at the police who had just cleared her of any wrongdoing in Julie's death. The Sun exclusively revealed in January that she had quit the show after 25 years on the Salford set to look for new acting opportunities. 'The door is still firmly open but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures and live fearlessly,' she explained. One of Sue's major next steps is to become a a regular panellist on after first appearing on the daytime panel show in 2023. Sue took a break from Corrie last year to star in Sister Act The Musical as Mother Superior and appeared in reality show I'm A Celebrity in 2022. Last year, Sue released her memoir A Work In Progress and revealed she was embracing being in her 60s. 4

"What happens now?" she says to George after she tells him that she does not love him in a romantic sense. George tells her: "You enjoy Thailand. I'm stopping here." Before finally leaving for good, Eileen stops by the Rovers Return for one last drink and is surprised with a big showing by her friends. Steve and Tim have organised a special send off from the Streetcars drivers, complete with ribbons on the cars. "Never knowingly understated, lads," Eileen tells the men with a smile. "Won't be the same without you," Tim tells her. Steve adds: "You know what, it's only just hit me that this has been one of the most important relationships of my life," promising he would come to visit her in Thailand. Her son Todd assures her before she leaves: "You deserve this mum." He also explained the diamond is lab-grown, which is more cost-effective and ethically sourced compared to natural diamonds. The cost of a lab grown diamond is around 40 to 50 per cent less than an earth-mined diamond, though it is still a real diamond. Brittany and Ben wed in a romantic ceremony in Bali on Wednesday. The wedding took place at Pandawa Cliff Estate which promises a 'dramatic and romantic clifftop setting overlooking the Indian Ocean', and stunning views of Bali's Bukit Peninsula. Brittany was ever the blushing bride on her big day, walking down the aisle in a strapless dress by Steven Khalil which featured a lace corset with dramatic long train. The couple gave followers a glimpse into the nuptials, sharing a duo of loved-up snaps from the big day to Instagram. One showed Ben romantically embracing his new bride as he leaned in for a newlywed kiss. The second showed the happy couple beaming as they held hands and hugged each other close. Laura was quick to chime in with: 'HERE SHE IS!!!!! The most stunning bride and groom ever. What a day.' NRL WAG Zoe Marshall also offered a simple 'ahhh beautiful', while Brittany's former KIIS FM co-star Mitch Churi revealed the ceremony moved him to tears. 'I'm still crying (and picking firework shrapnel from my quiff),' he wrote. The Life Uncut podcast announced Brittany's engagement to Ben, 33, last year. The duo met in November 2022 on the celebrity dating app Raya.
