Dakota Johnson roasts herself for wearing 'the wrong outfit' on Jimmy Fallon
Dakota Johnson called herself out on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' last night.
Sitting beside host Jimmy Fallon on June 2 to talk about her new film, 'Materialists,' the actor, 35, looked down at her dress and gasped, blurting out, 'Oh, God.'
After checking in to make sure she was all right, Fallon told Johnson she looked 'fantastic,' to which she responded, 'This was the wrong outfit.'
The camera then panned to show Johnson's short black dress with a plunging neckline, which she accompanied with black opaque tights.
The two suddenly froze, laughing, looking at one another until Fallon told a joke: 'Just don't move.'
'My eyes are up here,' she quipped, causing an outburst of laugher from the live studio audience.
As The Roots, Fallon's on-set band, played off Johnson's joke with some percussion, Fallon looked up at the sky and said, 'I can't even look there. I don't know what to do. Now, I'm confused.'
As Fallon attempted to start the interview, asking the actor about the last time they saw one another in 30 Rock for the ' SNL' 50th anniversary special, Johnson sat motionless due to her outfit, attempting to hold back laughter.
Throughout the interview, Johnson continued fixing the neckline of her dress, at one point instructing Fallon, 'Tell me if there's a problem.'
'At this point, there's not a problem,' he responded, then paused before adding, 'There's almost a problem. But not, not quite.'
'I'll keep my posture real good,' she joked, sitting up straight and requesting a blanket to drape over herself.
Fallon then went behind his desk and pulled out a tissue to give to her. Johnson then situated the tissue inside the dress so her chest was completely covered.
After Fallon suggested she shouldn't 'ruin' her outfit, Johnson removed the tissue and the interview continued — with casual dress adjustments and acknowledgements by the actor.
At the end of their conversation, Fallon told Johnson that her dad, Don Johnson, gifted him a cardigan sweater, which he subsequently pulled out from behind the desk.
When Fallon suggested Johnson 'borrow' the sweater, she gave him a hard time, saying he probably just didn't like the cardigan for himself.

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson split 'for final time' after eight year relationship
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his fiancée actress Dakota Johnson have reportedly gone their separate ways. Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have reportedly split for the 'final time' after eight years together. Insiders have claimed that the pair, who first started dating in 2017 and secretly got engaged in 2020, have gone their separate ways for good. One source has alleged that "it feels final this time" for the Fifty Shades of Grey star, 35, and the Coldplay singer, 48. The former fiancées were last seen together two weeks ago in Malibu, back in May. Back in August, the couple, who have a 13-year age gap were hit by split rumours, the Mirror reports. A source said at the time: "They'll always have love for each other but they've both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term." A spokesperson however has denied the split, stating: "They are happily together." Dakota has previously referred to Chris' two children with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow as her "stepchildren". The actress previously said: "I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart. How do I feel about motherhood? "I'm so open to that. I've gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer. "And especially being a woman, I'm like: 'What a magical f*****g thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience. "If that's meant to happen for me, I'm totally down for it. We're not here for very long, so if I'm meant to be a mother, bring it on." Chris and Gwyneth share their two kids Apple, 19, and Moses, 17. The former husband and wife have stayed good friends despite divorcing in 2016 and the Iron Man actress has also previously shown her support for Chris and Dakota's relationship. Gwyneth, 52, said: "I love her. I can see how it would seem weird because it's sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her. "I always start to think of the ampersand sign-what else can you bring in, instead of being resistant to or being made insecure by? There's so much juice in leaning in to something like that." The Materialists star recently discussed her new film, which also stars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal, in an interview. While she didn't directly discuss her own relationship with Chris, she did make a comment about love and connection. She said: "For a long time we've all been so quick to judge relationships or how they should happen, how they should exist in the world. "When people should get married. Divorce is bad. All these things that actually, if you think about it, why is divorce bad? "Why do people have to get married or at a certain age or only once? Why? It doesn't matter".
