Person rescued after reportedly falling off cliff while running from deputies, sergeant says

Deputies and fire crews responded to the area south of W National Road and west of U.S. 68, near Mad River, after 7 a.m. on reports that someone had fallen off a cliff.
The sergeant said someone found the male at the bottom of the cliff.

It is unclear exactly what time this person fell off the cliff.
Sheriff's deputies and fire crews found the male and carried him up the cliff due to medical reasons, the sergeant said.
The male involved was injured, but it is unclear how severe his injuries are.
The sergeant said this person allegedly ran from authorities overnight, and deputies spent hours looking for him.
Information on why this person ran from the authorities was not available.

Woman leads GA deputies on 140-mph chase, uses blinker to follow move over law
Georgia deputies arrested an Ellenwood woman accused of leading them on a high-speed chase. But deputies say there was one law that she appeared to follow. The Jones County Sheriff's Office released dash camera video of the Aug. 12 chase they said involved Demetric Bazi. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Sgt. Travis Walker pulled over Bazi, who had multiple warrants for her arrest, on Ga. 57. As Walker and another deputy were talking to her, she took off in her BMW 528i. Walker got back into his patrol car and went after Bazi. Speeds reached up to 140 mph, according to the dash camera video. Walker performed a PIT maneuver to end the chase, but Bazi took off again. Walker eventually caught up to Bazi. During the second part of the chase, the video showed Bazi use her blinker to follow the move over law for a driver who was on the side of the highway. Baby bald eagle released back into the wild following fall from nest
A baby bald eagle named Star, who was injured after falling from its nest earlier this month, was released back into the wild on Monday afternoon, according to our news partners at WBNS-TV in Columbus The release was conducted by officials from the Ohio Bird Sanctuary and the Ohio Division of Wildlife at the Grange Audubon Center, located less than five miles from Star's original nest on Dublin Road. After Star fell from the nest, officials from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources rescued her and took her to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary in Mansfield. Gary Comer, a wildlife management supervisor with ODNR, credited the birdwatchers who witnessed Star's fall and promptly sought help for saving the eaglet's life. With Star now back in the wild, officials are hopeful for her successful integration away from her parents' nest, as she is naturally prepared to leave at this stage.
