1 dead after fight in Brampton: police
Police responded to calls about a fight at Centre Street and Queen Street around 12:30 a.m.
At the scene, two people were found with serious injuries and one person was dead, said Peel Regional Police in a statement .
"This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety," says the statement.
Police say a suspect has been arrested.
Paramedics say the injured adults were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Three dead following overnight shooting in Oak Cliff, Dallas police say
Three people are dead following a shooting in Oak Cliff early Saturday morning, officials told CBS News Texas. The Dallas Police Department said at about 2:10 a.m., officers and Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a call concerning a shooting at a home in the 1900 block of Dudley Street. DPD said three people were pronounced dead at the scene, but the department has not released any further details. The names of the victims have not been released. The investigation is ongoing. Florida man arrested after allegedly shooting woman at Grand Chute hotel
GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – On Friday night, a man from Florida was arrested in northeast Wisconsin after he allegedly shot a woman in the chest at a Grand Chute hotel. Officers with the Grand Chute Police Department say they responded to a hotel in the 1000 block of South Westland Drive around 9:50 p.m. on August 8, for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, authorities found a 42-year-old woman with a single gunshot wound to the chest. She was taken to a local hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. Officers say a 47-year-old man from Florida was taken into custody and booked into the Outagamie County Jail on 'several charges.'
