And it appears they eventually gain entry
A video of the brazen assault has been circulated and includes the dance track Find You by German producer and DJ Zedd.
The masked trio pounced on Saturday in Niddrie with one seen battering the door with what looks like a hammer while others burst their way into the house through the living room window.
A source said: 'This gang war is showing no sign of stopping and this latest attack shows what lengths these people are willing to go to.
'It's hard to imagine anything as terrifying as three armed thuss bursting into your home like that.
'It's absolutely shocking to see and the fear is someone will get killed before it gets stopped.'
The sinister clip ends with the logo used by a group known as Tamo Junto said to be headed up by a Dubai-based fugitive out for revenge over a dodgy drug deal.
The Scot has teamed up with other mobsters at home and abroad to target Richardson's associates and anyone with ties to Glasgow's notorious Daniel clan.
The war has been raging for more than two months and cops have nabbed 32 people over firebombings, shootings and murder plots allegedly linked to the chaos.
Sources say the latest house was targeted because the homeowner is connected to Richardson, 37, who is in isolation at HMP Addiewell.
It's not clear if anyone was at home when the gang forced entry while an associate filmed the terrifying ordeal from a getaway car.

It comes days after another maniac mobster was filmed fleeing the scene of a brazen gangland firebomb attack in the capital.
The chilling clip emerged as cops nicked three men over separate alleged murder plots linked to a crime clans' turf war.
An associate filmed the hooded arsonist as he bolted after setting a car ablaze outside the home of David McMillan, 54 - a pal of jailed Richardson.
Flames could be seen rippling around the tyres of the white Range Rover parked in the driveway of a plush property in Edinburgh.

On Friday armed cops from Police Scotland's Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit were pictured bursting their way into properties in the Glasgow area in a series of dramatic swoops.
Two men, aged 31 and 26, were arrested over a conspiracy to murder plot and directing organised crime, while a 36-year-old man was lifted over a kill plot rap.
A man aged 26 was arrested over alleged drug offences and a 57-year-old man was nabbed on a proceeds-of-crime rap.
Another man, 42, was nabbed in Wishaw for alleged involvement in organised crime.
They are all due to appear in court on Monday.
Detective Chief Superintendent David Ferry said: "While the number of incidents has continued to decrease since the start of this investigation, I want to reiterate that violence will not stop until we bring those responsible for this criminality to justice.
"We're working tirelessly to build cases and are following a number of significant lines of inquiry.'
We told how a taxi firm, Deuce Private Hire in Stepps, on the outskirts of Glasgow, was torched on Wednesday amid claims it is linked to the gang war.
Underworld sources claim a Scots fugitive known as Miami is in cahoots with other hoods with links to the Lyons gang - who are longstanding enemies of the Daniels.

Three killed in Ukraine as Russia continues drones offensive
According to the Ukrainian air force, Russia launched a barrage of 63 drones and decoys at Ukraine overnight. It said that air defences destroyed 28 drones while another 21 were jammed. Ukraine's police said two people were killed and six were injured over the past 24 hours in the eastern Donetsk region, the focus of the Russian offensive. One person was killed and 14 others were also injured in the southern Kherson region, which is partly occupied by Russian forces, police said. The head of the Kharkiv region, Oleh Syniehubov, said 15 people, including four children, were injured by Russian drone attacks overnight. Kharkiv city mayor Ihor Terekhov said Russian drones targeted residential districts, educational facilities, nurseries and other civilian infrastructure. 'Kharkiv is holding on. People are alive. And that is the most important thing,' Mr Terekhov said. The Russian military has launched waves of drones and missiles in recent days, with a record bombardment of almost 500 drones on Monday and a wave of 315 drones and seven missiles overnight on Tuesday. The recent escalation in aerial attacks has come alongside a renewed Russian battlefield push along eastern and north-eastern parts of the 600-mile front line. While Russian missile and drone barrage have struck regions all across Ukraine, regions along the front line have faced daily Russian attacks with short-range exploding drones and glide bombs. Ukraine hit back with drone raids, with Russia's defence ministry saying air defences downed 52 Ukrainian drones early on Thursday, including 41 over the Belgorod region that borders Ukraine. Regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said three people were injured by Ukrainian attacks. The attacks have continued despite discussions of a potential ceasefire in the war. During their June 2 talks in Istanbul, Russian and Ukrainian negotiators traded memorandums containing sharply divergent conditions that both sides see as non-starters, making any quick deal unlikely. Speaking at a meeting of leaders of south-east European countries in Odesa, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the European Union to toughen its latest package of sanctions against Russia. He argued that lowering the cap on the price of Russian oil from 60 US dollars (£44) to 45 dollars (£33) as the bloc has proposed is not enough. German defence minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv on Thursday on an unannounced visit, noting that the stepped-up Russian attacks on Ukraine send a message from Moscow that it has 'no interest in a peaceful solution at present', according to German news agency dpa. Pistorius said his visit underlines that the new German government continues to stand by Ukraine. 'Of course this will also be about how the support of Germany and other Europeans will look in future – what we can do, for example, in the area of industrial co-operation, but also other support,' he said.

The company director faces two charges of assault and one of criminal damage. Wife Jennifer Hollisey, 79, also faces two charges of assault relating to the couple next door, as well as causing £3.99 of damage to her neighbour's phone in the incident. Both pleaded not guilty to the charges at Norwich Magistrates' Court last week. The court was told there was a "very messy history" to the row over the driveway, which the couple share with at least three other properties in the village of Bressingham in Norfolk. The court heard prosecutor Katherine Newson say that the alleged victims and the defendants had fallen out in a "dispute over access to their driveway". Declan Gallagher, defending the couple, said it was a "confrontation" as a result of a "long-term dispute" and that "there is a very messy history to this". When magistrates were seeking a date for the trial, Mr Hollisey interjected and told the court they "have several holidays booked this year and next". The case has been set for a two-day trial at Ipswich Magistrates' Court between March 10 and 11 next year. The couple, of High Road, Bressingham, were given conditional bail and told to have no contact with their neighbours.
