3 die after crashing into parked vehicle on Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo
VALLEJO – Three people died after crashing into a parked vehicle in Vallejo early Saturday morning, the police department said.
Just after 3 a.m., officers responded to Sonoma Boulevard and Valle Vista Avenue, finding a vehicle crashed into an unoccupied vehicle parked on Sonoma Boulevard.
Officers were able to remove a rear passenger, but the driver and front passenger had to be extricated, police said.
All three of the occupants in the vehicle died at the scene, police said.
DUI is not known at this time and is pending a toxicology report after an autopsy, police said.
The identification of the three people who died has not been released.

Santa Rosa man, his 3 children seriously injured in crash
Santa Rosa Police on Tuesday said they are investigating after a crash that seriously injured a man and his three children on Monday. The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. near West 3rd Street and Arboleda Drive, and it involved a red 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan and a white 2019 Ford Ranger that is owned by the city of Santa Rosa. According to police, the minivan driver was initially going eastbound on West 3rd Street in the left lane when he moved to the right lane to pass two vehicles. Around the same time, a Ford Ranger in the right lane began to merge to the left because the roadway narrows into one lane. As it merged, police said the minivan driver tried to pass the Ford Ranger and hit the rear left side of the truck with the front right side of the minivan. The minivan then struck two trees that were in the median. Police said the minivan driver was a 44-year-old Santa Rosa man and that his three boys were occupants in the vehicle. The man, his 12-year-old, 11-year-old and 5-year-old were all seriously injured. Police said they believe the 5-year-old was in the front passenger seat in a booster seat; the 11-year-old was in the second row behind the driver; and the 12-year-old was in the third row behind his brother. Police said the man remains at a local hospital in critical condition, and the boys are at a Bay Area hospital with serious injuries. Investigators said the city employee was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash, and that he did not require medical treatment. Police said, "due to the medical condition of the minivan driver, additional investigation is required to determine if he was impaired." The crash remains under investigation.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – What started as a sweet summertime tradition in Pittsfield to connect police officers with the community has now inspired a similar initiative nearly 2,000 miles away in San Antonio, Texas. Operation Copsicle delivers smiles, free treats in Pittsfield San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) recently launched its ice cream truck initiative, Police, Popsicles, and Prayer, aimed at fostering trust, dialogue, and inclusion in neighborhoods across the city. The effort takes its cues from Operation Copsicle, a Pittsfield Police Department program that has gained national recognition for using frozen treats to engage with local youth and families. The connection between the two departments came about last year when SAPD Community Officer Greene met Pittsfield Officer Derby at a Community Policing Conference. There, Officer Greene learned about Operation Copsicle and brought the concept back to Texas. Working in partnership with Unite SA Network, a local faith-based organization, SAPD officially rolled out its ice cream truck program earlier this year. A photo shared by Pittsfield Police shows SAPD officers standing with residents–including Pittsfield locals Kayla and Catie, who coincidentally encountered the truck while visiting San Antonio a few months ago. 'This is now the fifth police department in the U.S. and Canada to implement their version of a police ice cream truck after connecting with us,' Pittsfield Police said in a social media post. From Massachusetts to Texas, the mission remains the same: building community trust, one popsicle at a time.
