Comedian Matt Rife is legal guardian of real-life Annabelle doll after buying home of couple who inspired The Conjuring
Calling the house "the most important and prominent piece of paranormal history in the world", Rife said that, with the purchase, he and Castee are now "the legal guardians and caretakers" of 750 artefacts in the Warrens' museum, including the original Annabelle doll.
According to the Warrens, Annabelle, a Raggedy Ann doll, is "demonically possessed" and kept in a specially built case.

In a video on his social media pages, Rife added that fans will soon be able to book stays at the Warrens' house and "investigate the house and [its] history as well as the museum and all the artefacts inside it".

The news comes weeks after it was reported that celebrity paranormal investigator Dan Rivera died while he was touring with the Annabelle doll.
Rivera's autopsy results are still pending. However, the police have classified his death as a "natural death".
In September, Hollywood stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will step into the shoes of Ed and Lorraine Warren once again in the upcoming movie The Conjuring: Last Rites.

Matt Smith will play the villain in Star Wars: Starfighter. Levy has been working on the movie with Lucasfilm since 2022 and last year, he said he was not planning to connect his work to any other films or TV shows in the long-running series. Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he said: "I'll say that the experience of crafting this story has forced me to think about that question. Because there's only so many times that Star Wars movies can revisit the same section of the timeline, and so it's really forced me, because I don't want to do a Star Wars movie that is redundant to others, nor am I interested in doing one that has to serve another movie." The filmmaker – who has teamed up with his The Adam Project co-writer Tropper on the project – added he was making the flick with "tone and characters" at the forefront. He said: "I really wanted to craft something that felt organic to me, both in tone and characters, so I think that there is certainly the Force and a connection to something bigger than our individual selves.

The Walking Dead actress Kelley Mack dies at 33
Kelley Mack has died at the age of 33. The Walking Dead actress – whose real name was Kelly Klebenow – died on Aug 2 after battling glioma of the central nervous system, a cancerous tumour. Her sister posted on Mack's Instagram account: "It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go. "Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies [butterfly and heart emojis]. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express. Mack was best known for her role as Addy in season 9 of The Walking Dead and some of her former colleagues paid tribute to her in the comments of the post. Director Michael E Satrazemis wrote: "I was lucky enough to create with Kelley on TWD. A bright light on every level. All my love to those who love her." Actor Anthony Michael Lopez commented: "My deepest condolences, Kelley was such a sweet and happy soul and I'm happy to have met her. She fought so hard. Sending her and your family lots of light and love. Rest easy Kelley." And actress Alanna Masterson posted: "What an incredible human. So proud to have fought alongside her in our final episode together." Mack also appeared in Chicago Med and 9-1-1, and was the voice match for Hailee Steinfeld's character, Gwen Stacy, in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Paramount's co-CEO Robbins to step down, memo shows
Brian Robbins, who helped grow the Paramount+ streaming service, is stepping down as Paramount Global's co-CEO, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Wednesday, following the completion of its merger with Skydance Media. David Ellison, the CEO of Skydance, will lead the new company as chief executive after the merger is completed by August 7. "The company is in exceptionally capable hands with David Ellison and the incoming team from Skydance," Robbins said in the memo. Robbins, who joined the company in 2017, was appointed co-CEO in April last year, along with George Cheeks and Chris McCarthy, with the three collectively succeeding Bob Bakish. McCarthy's departure was reported last month, while Cheeks will remain with the company as its chair of media, overseeing its broadcast and cable television business. Robbins was named CEO of Nickelodeon in 2018, and became the chief of Paramount Pictures in 2021. As CEO of Paramount Pictures, Robbins has overseen 17 number one releases at the box office and has overseen franchises including "Sonic the Hedgehog," "A Quiet Place," and "Mission: Impossible."
