IF you're paying for Sky every month, you might as well get the most of out of your TV or box.
We've got some little-known Sky TV tricks to instantly upgrade your telly, and they take almost no time at all. You'll bag bonus channels, recover lost shows, and even skip past ads.

EXTRA TV CHANNELS
Sky has loads of channels, and it seems like the TV guide is always being refresh with new ones.
But if you want a quick update, try Xumo Play.
I tried it out as part of my free TV apps test just last month, and I was pretty impressed.
You can find it in the apps section of your Sky TV, and you'll be watching free telly in seconds.
It has dozens of channels – more than 70 in the UK – plus thousands of movies and TV episodes.
It's packed with a decent selection of reality TV and sports content too.
You don't even need to sign up: just tap on the app and away you go.
HIDDEN TV FOLDER
The ability to record live TV and watch it later is one of the best things about Sky.
But sometimes, you delete a show because you're running low on space or you don't think you care anymore – only to regret it later.
Or worse, someone else in the house deletes your show. Not good.
Sky insider reveals little-known voice tricks for your TV - including hack to NEVER lose the remote
Thankfully, it turns out that your Sky box maintains a special folder packed with all of these "lost" TV shows and movies.
It turns out that when you delete a show, it's not really gone – it's just tucked away in the folder.
Just go to your Sky Planner, head into Recordings, go to Manage, and then choose Deleted.
It's here that you'll be able to restore content back to your Recordings folder if it's been deleted.

And you can also use this Deleted folder to properly bin stuff from your Sky stuff.
That's how you can free up storage space: until it's gone from Deleted, it's still taking up space on your Sky box.
SKIP ADS
If you're watching live TV, there's no way to skip past an ad.
That would involve travelling into the future, and if you can do that, you shouldn't be wasting your time watching TV.

What you can do is skip past ads in recorded content, but normally that involves holding the fast-forward button down. That's a pain.
Instead, grab your Sky remote and hit the microphone button.
Then simply ask your Sky TV to "skip forward three minutes" and you'll instantly move past the ad break.
It's an easy way to skip them if you're short on time and don't want to spend an age manually "scrubbing" through the content.

Model Boris, 28, who is currently attempting to turn heads in the ITV2 villa, was a contestant on Kmetija (The Farm) in 2024. The series saw contestants live and work on a farm while competing for a cash prize. On who he's got his sights set on, Boris added: "I'm super attracted to Shakira, I think she's got a great personality and seems like a good girl. Noel Gallagher's ex Meg Mathews furiously hits back at claims she 'walked out' of Oasis gig before 'her song' was played as she sets record straight in scathing post

Noel Gallagher 's ex-wife Meg Mathews has furiously hit back at claims she walked out of Oasis' reunion gig early ahead of Wonderwall, which was reportedly written about her, was played. The columnist, 59, joined their daughter Anais, 25, to watch the Britpop band reunite onstage for the first time in 15 years at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday. However she was spotted exiting early ahead of the once warring Gallagher brothers playing their encore, which included the iconic track, which Noel, 58, once claimed he'd penned the tune about the blonde during their relationship. Hitting back, a furious Meg, who was married to the rocker from 1997-2001, took to her Instagram Stories with a scathing post to explain that she'd simply left in order reach her car before getting caught up in the 'carnage' of the huge exiting crowds. She fumed: 'I left before the encore to get to my care, I have left 100s of stadiums at the end in my life and its been carnage. And yes I heard Wonderwall loud and clear outside thank you I was not being rude or bored'. 'That phrasing "walked out just moments before "her song" was played" made it clear she left right before Wonderwall" come on'. Noel said in 1996 of his inspiration for the song: 'It's about my girlfriend, Meg Mathews. She had a company which folded and she was feeling a bit sorry for herself. The sentiment is that there was no point in her feeling down, she has to sort my life out for me because I'm in bits had the time'. Before contracting himself in 2002, as reported by The Mirror, saying at the time: 'The meaning of that song was taken away from me by the media who jumped on it, and how do you tell your missus it's not about her once she's read it is? It's a song about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself'. Meg took to her social media to share footage for herself at the show as she praised her ex's 'brilliant' band and admitted she 'loved every minute.' Taking her seat at Stadium she belted out the words to every song and captioned the clip: '5 stars loved every minute thank you Oasis … you were brilliant. '@PorthtowanBeachShop best gig buddy …. Great to see all the old faces … it was worth the count down.' Before adding: 'I left before the encore as I have left many a stadium at the end and it's carnage ….. But yes I could hear Wonderwall as I walked to my car ! Happy now' A source told The Mirror: 'After posting about her ex-husband for weeks, Meg Mathews had a prime seat for watching the band. She was in great spirits before the set, watching Richard Ashcroft with pals.' Elsewhere, daughter Anais was spotted wishing Noel luck before Oasis took to the stage. Anais is also said to have helped piece together the set list and given an insight into what younger fans might want to hear. More than 75,000 fans watched history be made as Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, appeared for the first time on stage together in 16 years. Throughout their set, they wowed fans with a whole litany of their top hits, including Some Might Way, Morning Glory and, of course, Wonderwall. The thousands of fans packed into the stadium were overwhelmed by the momentous occasion as many were reduced to floods of tears, while celebrities including Danny Dyer, Vernon Kay and Rob Brydon also attended the epic night. In fact, the show was so popular that even more eager fans crammed outside the stadium in the Welsh capital in a bid to listen to the sought-after set list after failing to nab tickets themselves. The epic opening night certainly seemed to be worth the 16-year wait as concertgoers took to social media to laud Oasis for their 'amazing' and 'lifechanging' performance. Kicking off the show, Liam and Noel walked out with their arms around each other in a sweet display of unity, before they proudly gazed on at the crowds, who erupted into rounds of deafening applause. 'Manchester vibes in the area,' Liam said before kicking off the show with Hello, which serves as the opening track for their 1995 classic What's The Story (Morning Glory).

BREAKING NEWS Charges dropped against actor arrested on set of hit TV show Rivals

Charges have been dropped against an actor who was arrested while filming on the set of Rivals. Nigel Adams, 45, was arrested by Avon and Somerset Police at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire on June 4. He was later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm against his long-term partner Louise Payne in an incident on March 31 of this year. Mr Adams and Ms Payne attended Bristol Crown Court on Monday morning for a plea and trial preparation hearing. The actor, from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, pleaded not guilty to the charge. Christine Hart, prosecuting, said she would be offering no evidence against Mr Adams. Ms Hart said: 'Subsequent to the case being charged, there is a statement by Ms Payne. 'She is here at court today, she sits in the public gallery. 'She has made it clear she didn't wish to proceed with the case. I have spoken to her at length, as has the officer in charge. 'Taking into account the evidence already in the case and that statement, the only option I have is to offer no evidence on the outstanding count.' Judge William Hart told the court he would formally enter a not-guilty verdict in the case. The judge told Mr Adams: 'A not-guilty verdict, you are free to leave, thank you.' Mr Adams was arrested by officers from Avon and Somerset Police who attended the set of the Disney+ show in Gloucestershire on June 4. Rivals, starring David Tennant, Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, is based on the Dmae Jilly Cooper novel of the same name. Speaking outside court, Mr Adams and Ms Payne told the PA news agency they were grateful the case had been dropped. Mr Adams, describing his arrest, said: 'They turned up on set and nicked me like I was a wanted man on the run. 'Now I can get back with my agent and get back on Rivals, hopefully. I still have the costume.' He added: 'I'm grateful everything has been sorted. We just want to get on with our lives.' Mr Adams and Ms Payne have been engaged for seven years and are now looking forward to getting married. Ms Payne said: 'I didn't want to press charges from the beginning. I had to come to court to say I didn't want to go ahead with it. I'm happy it's all sorted.'
