An assistant sub-inspector of the CRPF has been arrested after he was found sharing classified information with Pakistani spies posing as journalists for the past two years.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Central Reserve Police Force ASI Moti Ram Jat from Delhi earlier this week, after alleging that he shared sensitive information with Pakistani agents in return for monetary funds.
Jat received Rs 3,500 per month for providing intelligence to Pakistan and Rs 12,000 for crucial information, according to a report by the Indian Express.

Jat allegedly shared information like Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Jammu and Kashmir following the Pahalgam attack of April 22, the closure of 50 tourist spots, the movement and strength and the CRPF force.
'Jat allegedly provided multiple classified documents related to security personnel deployment, information of troops movement, reports of the multi-agency centre (MAC) of intelligence agencies, and sometimes the locations of terrorist movement,' a source told the news outlet.
In a few of his exchanges, Jat shared news clippings related to paramilitary forces, but the recipients advised him against sending information that was already publicly accessible. 'After one or two months, they started giving Rs 3,500 to him on the fourth day of every month, and also Rs 12,000 for crucial information. He received the money in his and his wife's accounts,' the source claimed.
Spies posed as TV journalists
A woman posing as a journalist from Chandigarh and associated with a leading news channel approached Jat, seeking information that was classified in nature. After a few conversations over calls and texts, Jat allegedly began passing on information to the woman.
After a few months, a man posing as a journalist from the same news channel started receiving information from him.
Jat's activities were under the scanner for weeks, following which he was transferred to Delhi just days before the Pahalgam terror attack.

Delhi HC grants bail to director Sanoj Mishra; victim claims consensual relationship
Delhi High Court has granted bail to film director Sanoj Kumar Mishra in a rape case after considering the affidavit of the prosecutrix stating that she was in a relationship with Mishra and had established physical relations with consent. She also stated that she lodged the complaint under the influence of some rivals of Mishra. After considering the affidavit of the prosecutrix, Justice Girish Kathpalia granted bail to Sanoj Kumar Mishra on Friday. Mishra is a director who had offered a role to Mahakumbh sensation Monalisa in his film. He was arrested by the Delhi Police in March 2025. While granting bail, Justice Kathpalia said, "Considering the above circumstances, I find no reason to deprive liberty to the accused/applicant any further." "Therefore, the application is allowed and the accused is directed to be released on bail subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000 with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the learnt trial court or the area Magistrate or the Duty Magistrate," Justice Kathpalia ordered on May 30. In view of the affidavit filed by the prosecutrix, the High Court said that this is yet another case reflecting the recent trend of lodging false complaints of sexual offences. "Every false complaint of sexual offences not just causes immense damage to the person accused of the offence but also creates cynicism and distrust across the society, which leads to even the genuine victims of sexual offences suffering, as society starts suspecting her truthful complaint also to be false. Such false complaints have to be dealt with sternly," Justice Kathpalia observed in the order. Advocate Amit Chaddha and Aamir Chaudhary, counsel for Mishra, contended that he and the prosecutrix had been in a live-in relationship for a long time, and that too was in Mumbai. They said the offence took place in Orcha. Madhya Pradesh, so Delhi had no jurisdiction, counsel submitted. The complainant in her affidavit stated that she was living in a relationship with Mishra and had established physical relations with him with consent and lodged the complaint under the influence of some rivals of the accused/applicant. In the affidavit she also testified that she has no objection if the accused/applicant is released on bail. In her statement given on 21.05.2025, she stated that the accused never committed rape or any other offence against her and that her relations with the accused were consensual for the past five years. The complainant further alleged in her statement that she lodged a false complaint on being provoked by a few other persons. The SHO Nabi Karim presented during the hearing submitted that he has already initiated the process for registration of an FIR against the complainant and all those persons who conspired to make her lodge a false complaint against Mishra. The SHO also submitted that they intend to file a supplementary chargesheet in this case. The high court directed sending a Copy of this order to the concerned DCP to ensure that appropriate action in accordance with the law is taken. On May 28, the High Court had asked the woman to testify whether the allegations levelled against the accused are truthful or not. A case was registered against him on a complaint filed by a woman who alleged rape. His anticipatory bail plea was dismissed by the court in March. Thereafter, he was arrested by the Delhi Police. His regular bail plea was dismissed by the trial court. Thereafter, he approached the High Court. It was also noted that an affidavit was filed by the prosecutrix in support of his bail application stating that they have arrived at a compromise.

The workbook details a wide range of efforts in sectors such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and welfare. It includes a Rs 1 lakh crore budget allocation for the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a Rs 5,100 crore provision for a Rs 2,500 monthly assistance scheme aimed at supporting underprivileged women, and the introduction of the Vay Vandana Yojana, which provides free healthcare for senior citizens. The government also emphasised its commitment to transparency by tabling the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports in the Assembly. Chief Minister Gupta described the completion of 100 days as a moment of "decisive" and "impactful" governance. She emphasised that the administration had worked tirelessly every day in service of Delhi's two crore residents. She noted that the workbook is a documentation not only of promises made but also of promises fulfilled. Taking to X on Saturday, CM Gupta said, "When you gave me the opportunity to serve Delhi, it was not just a responsibility but a resolve to have politics centred on public service, and policies that are for public welfare." "In these 100 days, we have worked effectively towards realising every promise. Our priority was clear -- a development that can be seen as well as felt. Cleanliness, security, women empowerment and e-governance -- on every front, our endeavour has been to make Delhi a strong, safe and inclusive capital," she added. Gupta credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for guiding the government's actions. "This has been possible only due to the inspiration, guidance and vision of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas' of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The trust of the people of Delhi is my biggest strength. The foundation of change has been laid, the pace of development will not stop now," she said. Reaffirming her government's commitment to sustained progress, she added, "Delhi will now continue to move forward with the resolve of good governance and service."
