The Royal at the Center of Prince Harry and Prince William's Fallout: Author
Five years after Prince Harry stepped away from royal life to settle in California, his fallout with Prince William shows no signs of fading. According to a royal author, one particular royal remains at the heart of the ongoing drama.
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine and author of the book My Mother and I: The Inside Story of the King and Our Late Queen, shared her thoughts on the ongoing drama between the brothers with Fox News Digital. She cited one royal family member at the center of the conflict, claiming that William is aware how they appear to be viewed by royal supporters.
"The flea in the ointment really is very much Meghan," Seward claimed. "She's disliked intensely by a large number of the monarchists of this country. They see her as being very… damaging to the royal family."
"Also, I think a lot of people in America feel the same. They don't like that Meghan [reportedly] dissed her husband's family and dissed her own family."

The author added she believes it's "extraordinary" that Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, has not yet met his grandchildren. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are 6 and 4 years old.
"I think people in the States find that extremely odd, and [we] find it very odd here," Seaward continued. "And I think that's a real black mark against Meghan's character."
"I think she hasn't been able to embrace… her own family, however much she feels about them. I mean, Harry's never even met her father, which is extraordinary."
Prince Harry and Prince William have been estranged for the better part of five years. In 2020, citing safety and intrusion into their public life, Harry and Meghan left their full-time royal roles and moved to the United States.
This move was compounded by the couple's public remarks about their exit. They each gave detailed interviews about royal life, shedding a negative light on the monarchy.
As the future monarch, William's role is to uphold its image. Therefore, Harry and Meghan's negativity toward the House of Windsor was one of several reasons he cut ties with the couple.
The brothers were publicly seen at the same event during King Charles' coronation in 2023. Harry attended with other royal family members while William held a role as his father's liege man, publicly declaring he would "pledge loyalty to [Charles] and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God."

Owner Warned Rottweiler Was 'Danger' to Her Puppy—Reply Video Says It All
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Internet viewers are obsessed with a tiny pug puppy showing an enormous rottweiler who's boss, after fears that the bigger dog could pose a danger to her. Brittany Marsh, 30, lives in Columbus, Ohio, and is proud owner to 5-year-old rottweiler Harry, and new addition to the family Penny, a 14-week-old pug puppy. "From the moment Penny came home, Harry has been so gentle and patient with her—truly the best big brother," Marsh told Newsweek. "They play hard, but he's always careful and lets her set the pace." Rottweilers, described as loyal, loving and confident by the American Kennel Club (AKC), are large dogs, weighing up to 135 pounds when fully grown. Pugs, meanwhile—known for their charming and mischievous nature—generally weigh no more than 18 pounds, and grow up to just 13 inches tall at the shoulder. Marsh regularly shares videos of her two dogs interacting, but a recent clip drew a comment insisting that Harry was a danger to puppy Penny, which unfortunately is something Marsh has seen before. "I know rottweilers can sometimes have an unfair reputation, but Harry is the perfect example of how loving, loyal, and sweet the breed really is when raised with care," she said. Now millions have seen what Harry and Penny's play looks like, as Marsh hit back and showcased their bond in a viral video. From left: Penny jumps at Harry as he tries to relax at home. From left: Penny jumps at Harry as he tries to relax at home. TikTok @that_pug_penny In the video, posted to @that_pug_penny on July 30 and viewed more than 4.2 million times, Marsh responds to a commenter who had said: "The big dog is going to end up killing your pug, please be more responsible!" In response, the clip shows Harry laying on the ground while puppy Penny continuously jumps up at him, trying to play by patting his head, almost jumping into his mouth, and trying to climb all over him. And while Harry responds with growls and nips of his own, the rottweiler plays gently—and barks only when Penny herself jumps forward with a high-pitched yap. Harry bares his teeth when Penny initiates play, but remains in a relaxed, lying-down position, with his ears flat on his head—all of this communicating that he is not a threat. The AKC says that dogs will play-growl, which can sound scary as they tend to exaggerate the sound while playing. However, pinned-back ears, raised hackles, and low warning growls with closed mouths are all signs that a dog is not playing, but giving an alert. Owners should take care to watch their pets when they play, particularly if one is a larger breed, as they may not understand their size in comparison to other canines. Penny pats Harry's snout and jumps at his face at home. Penny pats Harry's snout and jumps at his face at home. TikTok @that_pug_penny TikTok users responded in great numbers, with one commenter joking: "As a qualified vet this is actually really dangerous for both of them to be in the same environment because they could end up taking over the world with the power of friendship." "The funny thing is I've never seen a household where the pug wasn't in charge," another posted. "No matter the size of the other dogs. Pugs run it." And a third agreed that the initial commenter "has never lived in a big dog/small dog house. That pug is the mob boss, and the rottie is the loyal henchman." "Just because the dog is big doesn't mean it's aggressive," one comment read, while yet another added: "The rottie has accepted that its overlord is a small, curly-tailed tyrant." Marsh said she has found the response to her videos "really fun," saying it is great to "show the softer side of a breed that doesn't always get the best press." "I never expected so many people to follow along, but I love that their friendship is bringing joy to others!" Marsh added. Royal Butler Raises Questions With King Charles Wedding Story
Prince Harry and Prince William aren't exactly known for having a good relationship with Queen Camilla, but a royal butler has a slightly different version of events. According to Grant Harrold—who worked with King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince Harry, and Prince William for seven years—the brothers were seemingly thrilled for their dad on his wedding day and there was "no animosity." "At the end of the festivities, Charles and Camilla were catching a flight to head straight to Birkhall [on the Balmoral estate]," Grant writes in his upcoming book, The Royal Butler (via The Telegraph). "We all went outside to wave them off and laughed as we saw William and Harry had decorated their car with 'Just Married'. As they drove off through the arches to cheers, the boys raced after the car." This obviously couldn't be a more different vibe from what Harry wrote about Camilla and Charles in Spare, where he recalled begging his dad not to marry. As Harry put it, "We support you, we said. We endorse Camilla, we said. 'Just please don't marry her. Just be together, Pa.' He didn't answer. But she answered. Straight away. Shortly after our private summits with her, she began to play the long game, a campaign aimed at marriage and eventually the Crown (with Pa's blessing, we presumed)." Meanwhile, Grant claims "The four of them, I promise you, got on so well. And that's why I don't understand what Harry's said, I really don't understand. Because I saw them. I saw them having dinners together, I saw them having drinks together, I saw them going to parties together." Guess everyone has their own perspectives?

Prince William's mistrust of Meghan Markle is derailing peace with Prince Harry: author
Prince William's alleged reservations about Meghan Markle are the main obstacle to a reconciliation with his estranged brother, Prince Harry, a prominent royal author has claimed. The Prince of Wales, 43, has reportedly not spoken to his younger brother for over two years — and their already-damaged bond was made worse with the release of Harry and Meghan's many money-making ventures, including a tell-all book, interview and Netflix series. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left royal secrets spilling into the spotlight, the future king is digging in his heels, unwilling to rekindle dialogue between the two camps amid deep-rooted trust issues, according to royal commentator Ingrid Seward.
