Red Sox fans go wild as cameraman can't stop zooming in on stunning sister of new star Roman Anthony

Daily Maila day ago

Baseball's No 1 prospect Roman Anthony enjoyed his first hit for the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night... but some fans were more excited by the presence of his sister in the stands.
Anthony was finally called up to the big leagues at the start of the week and starred in Boston's 3-1 win over Tampa Bay, doubling in two runs for his team at Fenway Park.
The game was shown live on NESN, but some Red Sox fans were just as interested in finding out more about his family as they were about watching their new superstar in action.
In the top of the second inning, the cameraman honed in on Lia Anthony in the stands, Roman's 22-year-old sister, and social media - predictably - went crazy.
'I'd like to be the first to welcome Roman Anthony's sister to Boston!' one wrote on X, and others quickly followed.
'Lord have mercy,' another added, while a third noted: 'What's her @? Asking for a friend...'
Lia attended the game with her dad Chris, mom Lori and brother Anthony Anthony, and they even posed for a photo with Red Sox legend David Ortiz.
Lia is 22 and has just graduated from Florida State University, where she studied Human Development and Family Sciences.
On Instagram she has just over 5,000 followers as of Tuesday night, though that number is expected to skyrocket after her surprise appearance on national TV.
In recent posts, the new graduate shows off various recent vacations, including a recent trip with friends to Aruba.
Lia only has 5,000 followers on Instagram but that is likely to change after her TV appearance
At the end of April she headed to Nashville just days after celebrating her FSU graduation, of which she said: 'Thank you Florida State for the best four years of my life.'
Her brother Roman, meanwhile, is just getting started with what has the potential to be an incredible career in Major League Baseball.
The No 1 prospect in the sport, fans have been clamoring for him to get out of Triple-A for weeks and he finally got the call on Monday, making his debut the same day.

'Looking forward to it' or 'not really bothered'? Fans on Club World Cup

We asked for your thoughts on Manchester City's upcoming Club World Cup campaign and what you make of the squad after the mini-transfer window. Here are some of your comments: Adam: It would take a calamity to prevent City getting to the knockout stage but it's difficult to feel invested in the competition. Based on the latter stages of this season's Champions League, City are nowhere near that level right now and the new signings likely won't have had enough time to settle City will do OK in the competition. It's a chance for all our new signings to try out and also to welcome the injured heroes back to the team. Good luck to everyone Looking forward to the Club World Cup, especially with all of the new signings and how they perform. Great to see all purchases made prior and now to get them to gel together prior to the new To be honest, I'm not really bothered about this competition at all. The players are already asked to play too many games so I don't think it's helpful to introduce more games for players who are already tired after a long hard Disappointed he has not taken Divine Mukasa or any of the victorious U21 squad to America. Surely Pep and his staff can see Mukasa is destined for Money rules the world of football and the welfare of the players, and the quality of the football comes last. I'm sure it will have its moments; Messi playing, the odd upset, but at what cost? Fatigued players going straight back to the Premier League and the injuries that will be Great squad but would have liked more academy players for development and experience. Classic Pep - half the squad are 'midfielders'.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child missing from family reunion snap

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a family reunion at the premiere of season two of his Netflix action comedy Fubar on Wednesday - but one of his children got the cold shoulder. The star, 77, smiled as he posed alongside his children, Katherine, 35, Christina, 33, Patrick, 31, and Christopher, 27, as well as Katherine's husband Chris Pratt, 45. But his son, Joseph Baena, was nowhere to be seen in the family snap. The action film icon shares his four eldest children with his ex-wife, Maria Shriver, while Joseph was born following an affair he'd had with his family's longtime housekeeper, Mildred Baena. Arnie wore a lustrous dark blue suit with peaked lapels, which he wore with a tie-free pale blue button-up shirt, black leather shoes, and a black Western belt with an over-the-top buckle. His four oldest children all favored black ensembles for the premiere, while Chris Pratt complemented his father-in-law with a blue–gray suede jacket. Christopher wore a black suit with a white dress shirt and skipped the tie, while his older sister Christina also rocked a sleek black suit. Patrick wore a black double-breasted suit with pinstripes. However, he awkwardly paired the jacket with a tie made of the same striped material, and rather than wearing a full suit he wore plain black trousers, along with black brogues with a slight lift. And Katherine wore a single-shoulder black blouse with a large bow tied around her midriff and matching slacks with contrasting pointy white heels. Although none of Joseph's siblings appeared to have posed for any photos with him at the premiere, it was a different story when it came to his famous father, who looked as if he was having a great time goofing off on the red carpet with his son. Joseph looked casually cool in a charcoal cardigan with high-waisted trousers, a dark sweater draped over his shoulders, and black leather loafers. The premiere was an uncomfortable replay of the premiere of the first season of Fubar just over two years earlier, when Joseph beamed next to his father but wasn't a part of any photos featuring his siblings. Arnold appeared to also be close with his son Joseph's girlfriend, the Dutch model Mel, as she was seen resting her head on his shoulder inside the theater. In 2023, a source told Page Six that Arnold and Joseph 'are very close,' but they claimed that the 'other kids don't love Joe'. They added that the True Lies actor had 'always treated [Joseph] like all his other kids' after he had reportedly paid for his youngest son's school and also bought his mother Mildred a house. The source also claimed that 'the other kids take [the affair] out on Joe.' Although Katherine, Patrick, Christina and Christopher reportedly don't have any interest in getting to know their half-brother better, he has publicly wished them the best in the past.

Trump reveals the classical instrument he used to play as a child

President Donald Trump has revealed which classical instrument he practiced when he was a youngster. Speaking with New York Post columnist Miranda Devine on her Pod Force One podcast this week, the president shared that he showed an ear for music at an early age. 'I played, like very short periods of time, the flute,' Trump revealed. 'Do you believe that?' 'I had flute lessons,' the president continued flashing a smile. 'That's the first person that's ever asked me that crazy question. I could have been a flutist,' he joked. The Republican's mother urged a young Donald Trump to take up lessons, he shared. 'I had instructors, an instructor coming to teach me how to play the flute,' he added. He began playing around age 11 or 12 after taking an 'aptitude' test that showed he was gifted musically, Trump said. 'I think I have an ear for music,' the 78-year-old proclaimed. The president has a varied taste in music ranging from disco anthems like YMCA to American classics from Frank Sinatra, and even opera. 'I play great music,' Trump said on the podcast. 'People like the music I play.' Though, when it came to the flute lessons, he shared: 'I didn't particularly like it, wasn't for me.' The Republican admitted that his musical selection was an 'unusual instrument' and that he doubts he can still play. 'They came up to my father, they said, 'your son is brilliant at music. He can be an incredible musician,' Trump recounted to the columnist during a 45-minute interview. 'This is not what my father wanted to hear,' the president continued. 'You know, this was not the greatest thing ever.' The president revealed that as a kid he used to be able to recall which musical notes were played hours before, impressing his teachers. 'They play a note and, like, on a piano, and then I remember to this day, and then they ask you other questions, and then they play notes later on and say which is the note we played from one hour ago. And I'd like get it right, I guess, but that was a long time ago,' Trump said. 'But I do have an ear for music.'
