Luton Town have re-signed defender Kal Naismith on loan from Bristol City for the rest of the season. The 32-year-old made 68 appearances for the Hatters before leaving at the end of the 2021-22 season. His final games were the two legs of the Championship play-off semi-final against Huddersfield Town, which Luton lost 2-1 on aggregate."I'm delighted and excited to be back and grateful to get this opportunity. It's not often people get second chances, but I'm back to try and have a positive impact on the team between now and the end of the season," Naismith said.Luton are 23rd in the Championship, having won only seven of their 29 league games - and have lost the past 11 away from home.Naismith has made seven appearances for Bristol City this season, but none since a 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield United on 5 November."Kal is looking for regular minutes and this move will allow him to do that," said Robins technical director Brian Tinnion."He has been an excellent professional since joining the club and heads out on loan with our best wishes."Luton are back in action on Saturday when they take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough - with new manager Matt Bloomfield looking for his first victory in his fourth game since arriving from Wycombe."He's a player I've admired from afar for a number of years. I played against him when he was a wide player, then he went to centre-back and did so well here in his first spell," Bloomfield said of Naismith."He's a dominant defender, a leader and a character, but he can also play with the ball and gives us good balance with his left foot."

Rangers star Robin Propper considering shock U-TURN over his Ibrox future
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ROBIN PROPPER has stalled on his move back to Twente Enschede and will hold talks with new boss Russell Martin to find out if he has a future at Rangers. The Dutch defender had an indifferent first season at Ibrox and was subject of plenty of criticism, although he still played 43 games in all competitions last season for Rangers. However, Twente Enschede's new sports director, Jan Streuer, has revealed Propper has not decided whether to try and play his way into boss Martin's plans yet. He said: "We have to wait and see with him. "Robin wants to hear from his club on what they're going to do. "I understand that there are new owners, a new technical director, a new manager and new coaches. "They always have new ideas and they also bring their own players with them. "The question is what all this means for Robin. "But he's welcome back here." Rangers-daft Stuart Dallas, meanwhile, has told 49ers Enterprises powerbroker Paraag Marathe that leading Leeds to success will be nothing compared to restoring Rangers to glory. Marathe was appointed Gers vice-chairman after his 49ers Enterprises were part of the club's US takeover. £6m Rangers star Danilo spotted doing gruelling sessions on beach in Brazil as he gears up for make or break pre-season Their running of the Elland Road side saw them land promotion back to the Premier League after being crowned Championship champs. Leeds legend Dallas - forced to retire through injury last year - is a boyhood Gers fan so knows just how much it would mean for the Ibrox side to start lifting silverware again. Dallas, 34, said: 'Obviously Rangers are built on success. They have to get back to winning trophies and they don't settle for second best. 'I've said to Paraag before that if you get it right at Rangers you'll never experience anything like it." Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

A former Hibs pair have had their exits from Tottenham sealed as the North London club bring in a new coaching team. Ange Postecoglou's sacking as boss has brought fierce debate on whether or not it was the right decision, having just won the Europa League. Beside him in his inner sanctum was Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo, who both moved to Tottenham last summer after their time at Hibs ended after less than a year in 2024. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Postecoglou picked both of them up after Montgomery was sacked following time in the Easter Road hotseat, aware of his and Raimundo's work in Australia at Central Coast Mariners most recently. Their exits, alongside Mile Jedinak, were claimed in the aftermath of the former Celtic manager's departure but now it's been confirmed the three coaches are off to pastures new. Tottenham confirm new coaching changes They said in a statement: 'We can announce the departures of Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo from their roles as Assistant Coaches. We should like to thank them for their contribution to the Club and wish them every success for the future.' Thomas Frank has now been named head coach with a fresh coaching team. Tottenham have said: 'We are delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Frank as our new Head Coach on a contract that runs until 2028. Thomas has extensive experience in English football having joined Brentford in 2016 - since becoming one of the longest-serving current managers in the Premier League. During his time at Brentford he transformed the Club, moving them up from the Championship to an established Premier League side, consistently and significantly outperforming expectations for an extended period of time. 'In Thomas we are appointing one of the most progressive and innovative head coaches within the game. He has a proven track record in player and squad development and we look forward to him leading the team as we prepare for the season ahead. Montgomery had said of winning the Europa League with Spurs: 'Blessed to be part of this special club and work with some amazing people. Hard work, sacrifice, togetherness, belief, and against all the challenges and adversity faced throughout the season, as a group we believed we could achieve something special. To see what it truly meant to the supporters was inspirational. The celebrations will live long in the memory for everyone attached to Tottenham Hotspur. To share these moments with my beautiful family who understand the sacrifices made and who constantly support me on my own journey is priceless.'
