As per the schedule, the presiding deity, Goddess Kanaka Durga, will bless devotees in various divine forms each day: September 22: Sri Bala Tripurasundari Devi avataram; September 23: Sri Gayatridevi avataram; 24: Sri Annapurnadevi avataram; 25: Sri Katyayani Devi avataram; 26: Sri Mahalakshmi Devi avataram; 27: Sri Lalita Tripurasundari Deviavataram; 28: Sri Maha Chandi Devi avataram; 29: Sri Saraswati Devi avataram; 30: Sri Durga Devi avataram; October 1: Sri Mahishasura Mardani Devi avataram; October 2 (Vijaya Dasami): Sri Rajarajeswari Devi avataram. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will offer Pattu Vastram (silk robes) to the presiding deity on September 29, which marks Moola Nakshatram and features the Saraswati Devi alankaram from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Maha Purnahuti will be performed at 9:30 am on Vijaya Dasami day, October 2. The celebrations will culminate with the grand Hamsa Vaahana Teppotsavam (float festival) on the Krishna River, scheduled for 5:00 pm on the concluding day of Dasara, October 2.

1 2 Vijayawada: Dasara festivities at the Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri Hill in Vijayawada will be held on a grand note from September 22 to October 2 for 11 days, said temple executive officer (EO) VK Seena Naik. During this period, the presiding deity, goddess Kanaka Durga, will be adorned in 11 different avatars and bless devotees at the temple. Unveiling the invitation poster at Indrakeeladari on Monday, Seena Naik said that the Dasara festivities of the Sri Viswavasu Nama Samvatsara will commence on September 22. On this day, goddess Kanaka Durga will be adorn as Bala Tripura Sundari Devi and bless devotees. The festivities will conclude on October 2, commemorating Vijaya Dasami, the final day of the 11-day Dasara festivities, when the goddess will be adorned as Rajarajeswari Devi. "Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will present silk robes to the presiding deity, Kanaka Durga Devi, on Moola Nakshetram on September 29, marking the birthday of the goddess, who will bless devotees as goddess Saraswathi Devi," the EO said. He further added that Maha Purnahuthi will be performed at 9:30 am on the last day of the 11-day festivities. Madikeri: Six elephants have been chosen from Kodagu district for Dasara celebrations in Mysuru. Abhimanyu, a 59-year-old tusker from Mathigodu Camp, will serve as the howdah elephant, leading the elephants. Six of the 14 jumbos selected for the 2025 edition of Dasara are housed at Dubare and Mathigodu camps in the district. Based at Mathigodu Elephant Camp in Kodagu, Abhimanyu participated in more than 300 elephant captures and over 80 tiger captures. After being captured from the Heggala region in Kodagu in 1970, he was trained at Mathigodu Elephant Camp. Abhimanyu has been a prominent figure in the Dasara festival since 2020. The other elephants selected are Dhananjaya (44 years), Cauvery (45), and Kanjan (26) from Dubare camps, and Bheema (25) and Ekalavya (40) from Mathigodu Elephant Camp. According to sources, these elephants will proceed to Veeranahosahalli in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve in Hunsur on Aug 3.
