SAN FRANCISCO, CA / ACCESS Newswire / April 30, 2025 / Kava, a global pioneer in decentralized blockchain solutions, today announced the release of a major update to its artificial intelligence platform, Kava AI, featuring an independently optimized, blockchain-native AI model. Marking a significant milestone, the updated Kava AI has already surpassed 100,000 users, becoming the most widely adopted decentralized blockchain-native AI.
Unlike traditional centralized AI services, Kava AI leverages a fully decentralized, blockchain-native architecture built upon an independently optimized open-source model. Through targeted enhancements, Kava AI achieves exceptional performance in blockchain-centric operations-ranging from crypto tasks and smart contract interactions to complex decentralized finance applications.
'This is a groundbreaking moment for blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the potential unlocked with stacking these technologies,' said Scott Stuart, Co-Founder of Kava. 'We've created an AI model that is truly decentralized, open-source, and transparent - built from the ground up for the blockchain ecosystem. Surpassing 100,000 users is a powerful validation that this approach resonates deeply and delivers real value. Decentralized AI isn't just a concept; it's here now, and it's thriving.'
To complement this powerful foundational intelligence, Kava also announced a major update to Kava AI today at Token2049 Dubai. Building upon Kava AI's advanced general reasoning capabilities akin to a decentralized ChatGPT optimized for blockchain, the significant upgrade delivers an AI-powered execution layer for DeFi built to unlock the next wave of alpha opportunities. It acts as a frontend interfacing with various protocols across the Web3 ecosystem.
Kava AI's enhanced execution capabilities are designed around several key functionalities planned for phased rollout. Future iterations will leverage its AI-powered intelligence to aggregate insights from multiple protocols across leading blockchains, providing a strategic edge with relevant, real-time data to help traders spot alpha opportunities first. Once an opportunity is identified, Kava AI is designed to act as an execution layer for simple and secure DeFi access, enabling seamless interactions like swaps, lending, and staking across various chains. Furthermore, the roadmap includes utilizing autonomous AI agents for always-on optimization, automating execution, refining strategies, and streamlining complex DeFi actions efficiently, 24/7. These advanced autonomous features are slated for release later in 2025, demonstrating how one protocol, covering multiple chains, can ultimately work with full automation.
'With Kava AI providing blockchain-native intelligence and delivering the seamless execution layer, we are creating a powerful synergy,' continued Scott. 'Users need both sophisticated understanding and the ability to act decisively in DeFi. This major update unlocks the practical power of Kava AI for advanced crypto tasks, making DeFi interactions smarter, faster, and automated. This ecosystem approach-transparent intelligence paired with effective execution-is the future. It is fundamentally about trust, respecting privacy, ensuring data sovereignty, and operating transparently - this is what it looks like to build AI technology responsibly.'
To further strengthen the decentralized AI ecosystem, Kava also announced a strategic partner in DeXe, a leading DAO infrastructure provider specializing in decentralized governance. The two organizations share a vision for building open, community-governed AI systems and are aligned on a path toward future collaboration, including future technical integrations and co-developed solutions.
'We're at a pivotal moment where AI governance will shape its societal impact for generations. At DeXe, we believe the future lies in open, decentralized systems that align technology with the public good,' said Serhii Kravchenko, Core Contributor at DeXe DAO. 'Our partnership with Kava unlocks AI's full potential through DAO infrastructure, creating systems that are transparent, fair, and community-driven.'
This growing ecosystem, further strengthened by collaborating with DeXe, is built upon the tangible success and unique features of Kava AI itself. Key factors propelling this success include unique, culturally resonant user experiences-particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, coupled with its user-friendly interfaces and uncompromising commitment to privacy. With distinct control settings built directly onto the blockchain, people will choose between a fully anonymous experience, a streamlined free option, or premium enhanced features accessible via crypto payments, all without sacrificing security or decentralization.
Unlike other open-source models that route user data through centralized jurisdictions-such as DeepSeek, which directs user information through servers in China with minimal protections-or centralized U.S.-based providers that offer limited transparency and control, Kava AI uniquely combines data sovereignty, transparency, and user-driven privacy. Users maintain control over their data, selecting between fully anonymous interactions or synchronized experiences with clear consent, protecting privacy. Additionally, because Kava AI is open-source and blockchain-native, every model update is developed with direct community involvement. This ensures trust and empowers people around the world to influence and shape the direction of their artificial intelligence experience.
Today's dual announcements at Token 2049-highlighting Kava AI's significant user adoption and the launch of the Kava AI DeFi execution layer-represent more than an achievement for Kava alone. They signify a meaningful shift in how AI can be developed and delivered, showcasing that powerful, scalable artificial intelligence does not need to rely exclusively on centralized infrastructure. By showing how a decentralized AI ecosystem can provide both superior intelligence and effective execution, Kava has opened a new chapter in the evolution of both blockchain technology and artificial intelligence.

4 ChatGPT Prompts Emerging Leaders Should Be Using In 2025
Using ChatGPT to help develop as an effective leader Whether you're a teen entrepreneur building your first business team or an educator stepping into department leadership, the desire to lead effectively is often stronger than the knowledge of how to do it well. The challenge? Most leadership development happens through expensive coaching, lengthy programs, or trial-and-error experiences that can be costly and time-consuming. Artificial intelligence offers a practical solution. When used strategically, ChatGPT becomes more than a chatbot—it transforms into a personal development coach that helps clarify thinking and strengthen decision-making skills. These four ChatGPT prompts help emerging leaders build self-awareness, navigate real-world challenges, and lead with greater confidence. Self-awareness distinguishes effective leaders from those who are not, yet most people lack training in productive self-reflection. This prompt positions ChatGPT as an executive coach, generating questions that dig beneath surface-level concerns. Rather than vague journaling, this approach creates structured reflection. The AI identifies patterns, such as perfectionism, fear of visibility, or unclear priorities, that may be limiting progress. How to maximize results: After answering the five questions, follow up with: "Can you summarize the mindset I seem to be operating from? What belief is driving my hesitation?" This moves the conversation from symptoms to root causes. A teen entrepreneur might discover they're avoiding reaching out to potential customers not because they lack time, but because they fear adults won't take them seriously. A teacher might realize they're hesitating to implement new classroom management strategies not because of workload, but because they're worried about appearing inexperienced to their colleagues. This awareness alone can shift behavior and open new opportunities. New leaders typically either over-function by attempting to control every detail or under-function by failing to establish clear expectations. This prompt provides a preview of common challenges and practical prevention strategies. Anticipating leadership challenges enables proactive decision-making rather than reactive crisis management. Understanding potential pitfalls helps new leaders develop strategies before problems emerge. Make it specific: Add context for better results. For example: "I'm a teen founder leading my first team of three classmates on our social media marketing business. What traps should I watch out for when my team members are also my friends?" Or: "I'm a first-year teacher managing parent volunteers for our school fundraiser. How do I maintain authority while staying collaborative?" Advanced application: Request scenarios: "Give me an example of what micromanaging versus clear leadership looks like in a group chat with teen team members." This transforms abstract concepts into concrete behaviors you can recognize and adjust. Many first-time teen leaders discover that setting clear expectations with friends-turned-teammates strengthens their business relationships. Teachers often find that being direct about volunteer responsibilities yields better outcomes than relying on people to figure things out on their own. Effective leaders adjust their approach to suit the situation. This prompt helps explore different leadership styles and consider how each might affect team dynamics and project outcomes. When a teen entrepreneur faces team members who aren't meeting deadlines for their custom sticker business, or when a teacher deals with students who seem disengaged during group projects, ChatGPT might suggest: Directive approach: Implement stricter deadlines with clear consequences. A teen might create formal check-in schedules with team members, while a teacher might establish daily progress reports for project groups. Coaching approach: Meet individually with team members to identify obstacles and realign on goals. This builds relationships and addresses root issues, but requires a more significant time investment. Visionary approach: Reconnect the team to the larger purpose behind their work. A teen entrepreneur might remind their team about the impact their business will have on their college applications, while a teacher might help students see how their project connects to real-world applications. Follow-up question: "Which of these approaches aligns most with my leadership style, and how can I combine elements of all three without confusing the team?" This framework helps young leaders move beyond their default style to consider what the specific situation requires. Teen entrepreneurs often discover they've been trying to be everyone's friend instead of a clear leader, while new teachers realize they've been defaulting to the coaching approach when some situations require more direct guidance. This prompt shifts perspective from uncertainty to clarity by using your existing leadership knowledge. Instead of asking, "What should I do?" it asks, "What would the best version of me already know to do?" Advanced variation: "Act like my future self three years from now—someone who has grown as a leader. What advice would they give me about this situation?" This temporal shift helps make decisions based on long-term principles rather than short-term fears. For deeper insight: Ask ChatGPT to explain why that version of you would act that way. This reveals the values and principles you're developing as a leader. A teen entrepreneur might use this prompt when deciding whether to fire a team member who is consistently late to virtual meetings, while a teacher might apply it when considering how to address a parent who is undermining classroom policies. The "future self" approach often reveals that effective leadership requires having difficult conversations rather than avoiding them. These ChatGPT prompts are most effective when used consistently rather than sporadically. Schedule weekly 15-minute sessions to work through one prompt, focusing on current leadership challenges. Save responses that provide valuable insights and track patterns over time. The goal isn't to replace experience or mentorship but to accelerate learning through structured reflection. Leadership develops through practice, feedback, and iteration—ChatGPT creates more opportunities for productive self-examination. While AI can provide valuable frameworks and perspectives, real leadership development happens through application. Use these prompts to clarify thinking, then test insights through actual leadership situations. Document what works and what doesn't. Share learnings with mentors or peer groups. The combination of AI-powered reflection and real-world practice creates a powerful development cycle that enables emerging leaders to build capabilities more quickly than traditional methods alone. Leadership isn't about having all the answers—it's about asking better questions and acting on the insights. These ChatGPT prompts help accelerate that process, transforming everyday challenges into leadership development opportunities.

An OpenAI exec says she was diagnosed with breast cancer and that ChatGPT has helped her navigate it
Kate Rouch, OpenAI's chief marketing officer, said she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rouch said she is expected to make a full recovery and urged other women to prioritize their health. She said she leaned on OpenAI's ChatGPT to navigate her treatment. Kate Rouch, the chief marketing officer at OpenAI, shared on Friday that she was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer weeks after assuming the role, which she called her "dream job," in December. In a thread posted on X, Rouch said she was sharing her story to help other women, adding, "We can't control what happens to us--but we can choose how we face it. My biggest lesson: no one fights alone." Prior to joining OpenAI as the company's first CMO, Rouch was CMO at Coinbase and, before that, spent over a decade at Meta, including as vice president, global head of brand and product marketing. Rouch said she started treatment right around the Super Bowl in February, when OpenAI aired its first-ever ad, and that she has since gone through 13 rounds of chemotherapy while leading OpenAI's marketing team. She wrote that she is expected to make a full recovery. "It has been the hardest season of life — for me, for my husband, and for our two young children," Rouch said, adding she has been supported by OpenAI "at every step." "Silicon Valley can be brutal and transactional. And yet — I've never felt more held," she said, adding that "people showed up in incredible and unexpected ways." Rouch also said OpenAI's ChatGPT has helped her navigate her diagnosis and treatment, including by explaining cancer in a way that is age-appropriate for her kids, helping her manage the side effects of chemo, and creating custom meditations. "Experiencing our work as a patient has made OpenAI's mission feel more personal and important," she said. Rouch said she was sharing her story to encourage other women to "prioritize their health over the demands of families and jobs." "A routine exam saved my life. It could save yours, too," she said. Business Insider reached out to OpenAI for comment. Kevin Weil, the chief product officer at OpenAI, expressed support for Rouch in a reply to her thread. "We love you @kate_rouch!" he wrote. "Proud of you for telling your story and for being so full of fight." Read the original article on Business Insider

Tensions between the US and China have delayed Apple's AI rollout in China, FT reports
The Financial Times claims that the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) is delaying the introduction of AI services by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Alibaba in China. A wide view of an Apple store, showing the range of products the company offers. Their February deal to incorporate AI technologies into iPhones in China is on hold due to geopolitical tensions resulting from U.S. President Donald Trump's trade war. Consumer-facing AI technologies need regulatory permission, and the CAC has not yet given its approval to these applications. The business is facing diminishing iPhone sales in China due to increased local competition, particularly from Huawei, which has integrated DeepSeek's AI models into its handsets. The firm is at a disadvantage to its AI-enabled Android rivals due to its lack of sophisticated AI technologies, such as ChatGPT-powered features and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)'s postponed "Apple Intelligence." More pressure is added by Trump's recent pronouncement of a 25% tariff on iPhones sold in the US that are not produced locally. New software improvements are anticipated during Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)'s WWDC event, which takes place from June 9–13. While we acknowledge the potential of AAPL as an investment, our conviction lies in the belief that some AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns and have limited downside risk.
