During the shoot of Oh Darling Yeh Hai India in 1995, Talsania witnessed firsthand the extreme love Shah Rukh Khan received from fans. Recalling the incident, he said, 'Fans came and started pulling his hair, because they were so much in love with him. We anyhow managed to bring him back on the sets and there were many such memories.' This moment, according to Talsania, highlighted the extraordinary frenzy that surrounds King Khan even during routine shoots.

Talsania also expressed deep admiration for Khan's talent and career. Calling him an exceptional actor, he remarked, 'Shah Rukh Khan to bahut bade actor hai…uski kaam ki fehrisht bahut badi hai… His merit list is much higher than his work. That is why he is called King Khan.' He spoke with high regard for the superstar's journey and contributions to the film industry.
Behind-the-Scenes Struggles on Set
The veteran actor opened up about the difficulties he faced while shooting Oh Darling Yeh Hai India. Financial issues had affected the production, but despite the setbacks, including bounced cheques, Talsania and Khan continued working. 'We were shooting Oh Darling Yeh Hai India. I got a little heated there, and then he (Shah Rukh Khan) asked what happened. I said the cheque has been bounced six times; the money has not come. Still, we are working on the sets,' he revealed, offering a glimpse into their resilience as professionals.
Talsania is well known for his comedic roles in classics like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Ishq, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Hungama, and Dhamaal. He also worked with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in Andaz Apna Apna and said he would gladly reprise his role if a sequel is ever made, adding, 'Why not? It's an iconic film.'
Looking ahead, Talsania spoke about his interest in experimenting with roles and expressed a desire to play a villain, stating, 'Every actor wants to play different roles.' He also discussed his upcoming Gujarati film Jai Mata Ji - Let's Rock, directed by Manish Saini, which is slated to release on May 9. 'I liked the script of the film and the approach of the director, so I decided to do the film,' he said.

Indian classical arts spark cross-cultural empathy in European schools

Sohini Roychowdhury, along with Indro Roychowdhury and Sanjib Pal, recently conducted performances and interactive sessions in Austria and Germany, using Indian classical arts to foster empathy and cultural sensitivity among children and young adults. Through Bharatanatyam, sitar music, and storytelling based on Indian epics, they communicated timeless values, reimagining the Navarasas for a new generation. 'Dance has a magical combination of elements that helps us become more in tune with our emotions and how we express them,' says dance exponent Sohini Roychowdhury, summing up the mission that recently took her across schools and universities in Austria and Germany. The dancer conducted a series of performances and interactive sessions designed to foster empathy and cultural sensitivity among children and young adults through the transformative power of Indian classical arts. Joining her were sitar player Indro Roychowdhury and tabla player Sanjib Pal, whose soulful renditions created an immersive atmosphere of curiosity, wonder, and emotional connection. The experience was far more than a performance — it became a deeply engaging cultural exchange. Children from ages 6 to 18, including those with special needs, responded with enthusiasm, particularly during the interactive segments. Sohini led the young audience through expressive Bharatanatyam mudras and movements in a session themed around 'Shiva the Kind.' The performances culminated in a participatory musical segment where Indro explained the therapeutic qualities of Ragas, while children joined in singing and rhythm. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Moments like Sohini's Thillana performance and Indro's rendition of Ahir-Bhairav — evoking imagery of Krishna, spring, and joy — brought India's classical traditions vividly to life. Through dance, music, and storytelling centered on the Rasas and epics like the Shiva and Vishnu Puranas, the sessions communicated timeless values in a universally accessible form. As the ghungroos chimed and the sitar rang through Alpine classrooms, the spirit of India echoed in young hearts. The Navarasa — traditionally the nine emotions of classical art — was reimagined for a new generation as empathy, peace, kindness, love, oneness, understanding, connection, healing and forgiveness.
