Man arrested of suspicion of child abduction
A 37-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction after a police search in Devon and Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police issued an appeal on Tuesday for information to help locate the man, from West Yorkshire, and two children, who are known to each other, following concerns for their welfare.
The force said the black Nissan Qashqai had been seen in various locations in Cornwall, including Calstock and Bude, and was located in north Devon.
Det Ch Insp Steve Fleetwood said the incident was brought to a "safe resolution" following a "positive reaction" to the force's initial appeal.
The two children have been safeguarded with their family, who will receive ongoing police support, officers said.
