Police investigation after two people stabbed

A police investigation is under way after two people were stabbed. Devon and Cornwall Police said the victims were stabbed "multiple times" at a property on Reskadinnick Road in Camborne, Cornwall, just after midnight. Police said both victims were taken to hospital with injuries "not believed to be life-threatening" while a man in his 20s was arrested. Det Ch Insp Steve Fleetwood said: "Although an isolated incident, we appreciate that this will have caused local concern amongst the community." "The incident happened just after midnight inside the address," said Mr Fleetwood. "Two victims received multiple stab wounds and were taken to hospital where they are receiving treatment. "The suspect is a 20-year-old man who is known to the victims. "He was swiftly arrested, and a knife has since been recovered." The force said a scene guard remains in place and officers are progressing the investigation. Mr Fleetwood added: "We will continue to be in the area this afternoon and advise anyone with concerns to come up and speak to officers. "We have one man in custody, and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the matter." Man arrested of suspicion of child abduction

A 37-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction after a police search in Devon and Cornwall. Devon and Cornwall Police issued an appeal on Tuesday for information to help locate the man, from West Yorkshire, and two children, who are known to each other, following concerns for their welfare. The force said the black Nissan Qashqai had been seen in various locations in Cornwall, including Calstock and Bude, and was located in north Devon. Det Ch Insp Steve Fleetwood said the incident was brought to a "safe resolution" following a "positive reaction" to the force's initial appeal. The two children have been safeguarded with their family, who will receive ongoing police support, officers said.
