Al Calderon has broken his silence after bowing out of the soap, telling fans: 'It's not goodbye, just see you later.'
The actor, who played Aaron Greene, took to social media to thank viewers for their support and hinted that the door may still be open for a return down the line.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "My time on Days of Our Lives has been truly life-changing.
'I'm endlessly grateful to the cast, crew, and creatives who made me feel seen, valued, and part of a legacy of family.

"I'll carry the love, lessons, and memories with me on every journey I go on. While I'm just a small grain of sand, I'm just happy I got to pass through the hourglass.
'As my mom used to tell me — it's not goodbye, just see you later. I love you forever.'
Al Calderon is saying goodbye to Salem after landing a major new role in hit US drama Brilliant Minds.
The star, who joined the soap in February last year as fiery but lovable Javi Hernandez, is swapping the drama of daytime TV for primetime prestige, with Deadline revealing he's been snapped up for Season 2 of the NBC medical series.

Javi — described as the bloke you'd want to date, but not dare cross — will be recast, with Calderon still appearing on screen until May next year.
With filming wrapped on Days, Calderon's now scrubbing in for his next gig in Brilliant Minds.
General Hospital and Days of Our Lives axes two major actors as fans rage 'the show is ruined!' after cast shakeups
Calderon will star alongside Zachary Quinto, playing Nurse Scotty Silva - the man who runs the hospital floor and turns heads doing it.
Dubbed the 'Mayor of Bronx General', Scotty's got charm, cheek and a knack for knowing everyone's business — all while keeping the place running like clockwork.

With bags of charisma and a warm, funny streak, he's the guy everyone loves... and no one can keep secrets from.
The hit NBC drama, inspired by the life and work of neurologist Oliver Sacks, follows Quinto's character, Dr Oliver Wolf, and his team of interns as they dive deep into the human mind — while battling their own personal struggles behind the scenes.
Brilliant Minds also stars Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears and Donna Murphy.
Bellamy Young recently joined as a recurring guest star.

‘Everything, I'm telling you' – Micah Richards convinced SNAPCHAT risks derailing Fulham's Premier League season
Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker had plenty to say in response MICAH RICHARDS believes Fulham will struggle this season after the club banned players from using SNAPCHAT. Richards left Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer stunned as he predicted that the social media outlet could be the downfall of Marco Silva's side in the new campaign. 2 Micah Richards predicts a Snapchat ban could ruin Fulham's season Credit: Getty 2 Alex Iwobi and Co were stopped from sharing behind-the-scenes snips by club chiefs Credit: Snapchat Fulham stars regularly provided behind-the-scenes Snaps of their journey to last term's 11th place Premier League finish. Fans were left loving the brilliant banter between their Craven Cottage icons. The regular Snapchat posts also gave a glimpse into the players' lives at the London club's training ground and stadium. But Alex Iwobi revealed in July that he and his Fulham teammates had been banned from further Snapchat posts by a member of staff. He told followers: 'For those that are wondering why I haven't been snapping BTS (behind-the-scenes) in the changing room, one person in the media team has been saying I haven't been catching the right stuff. 'So, there's no more BTS. They also said I might get fined if I continue to do so, they're trying to ban snap in our changing room. 'That's why I ain't been snapping BTS, it's a shame, I know you guys enjoy seeing what my team-mates are like behind the scenes. But, I have to respect the rules.' Now, former Man City title winner Richards reckons that Fulham's Snapchat clampdown could come back to bite the club. BEST FREE BETS AND BETTING SIGN UP OFFERS Silva's side have only made one signing in back-up goalie Benjamin Lecomte, while two attackers have departed in Willian and Carlos Vinicius. But Richards believes the inability to post on social media will have a worse effect on morale than the lack of new arrivals. Fulham star Calvin Bassey shows Arsenal fans his bum at worst time possible Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Richards' fellow presenter Shearer first said: 'I don't see Fulham doing as well as they did last year. 'I've got them sixth-bottom, I think they'll have too much to have them in a relegation battle but just below last season.' Richards then noted: 'I agree. And their media person has stopped them using Snapchat, where you used to get all the insight, the videos and stuff. Great for chemistry.' This left Shearer amused as he responded: 'Excuse me, what the f**k has that got to do with the prediction, by the way?!' Richards continued: 'Everything, I'm telling you. You can't do the videos no more, you go in there, it's going to be silent, there's going to be no banter flying, so it could affect them. 'So I'm going to say they're going to be just below what they did last season.' Shearer gasped: 'No Snapchat, so they're going to be just below last season! That's the reason!' Host Lineker then summed up the conversation by adding: 'Too much c***chat, not enough Snapchat.'

HORRIFIED Peter Andre was stunned into silence when he saw daughter Princess posing up a storm during a risque photoshoot. Princess, 18, is starring in her very own reality show - The Princess Diaries - which follows her journey into adulthood as she steps out of her famous parents' shadows. 3 Princess admitted she 'felt like her mum' as she posed up a storm Credit: ITV 3 Katie enjoyed huge success as a lads' mag pin-up in the 90s Credit: Getty 3 But dad Pete was 'uncomfortable' and stunned into silence Credit: ITV Mum Katie Price has since insisted those in charge banned her from appearing in the ITV2 series, which marks huge moments for Princess including walking in her first catwalk show and her milestone birthday celebrations. The teen is also seen working the camera for her first-ever solo cover shoot - and it's instantly apparent she's the daughter of one the country's most successful models. For one set of snaps, Princess stunned in a sheer pink dressing gown trimmed with fluffy faux fur. With her smokey eye make-up and perfect pout, the influencer was a double of her mum in her early modelling career. In a moment of bad timing, Pete, 52, appeared on FaceTime and even Princess picked up on how 'uncomfortable' her dad was. Speaking in her confessional, Princess said: 'I'm channelling my mum's confidence in photoshoots. This look is… something I've not actually done before. It's a little bit more grown up.' When Pete was shown his daughter's new look, clearly struggling with his words, he said: 'Right… yeah… ok.' Off camera, Princess said: 'I think it was such a big mistake to FaceTime dad. This is definitely not a dad-friendly look.' Pete is seen still adjusting to what he's seeing, and he added: 'Not my kind of thing… but you look… you look…' After the shoot wrapped, Princess reflected on the day and said: 'I did feel a bit like I was in my zone. I felt like my mum. 'When I see pictures of her when she was younger, it reminded me of that. But obviously she did topless and I will not do topless.' Princess Andre reveals what mum Katie Price thinks of her TV career after star vowed NOT to watch new show Katie, 47, made her name in the 90s as a lads' mag pin-up, posing under the pseudonym Jordan. Such was Katie's success as Jordan that she was already a multi-millionaire when she entered the I'm a Celebrity jungle in 2004 and met future husband Pete, who was then known for his 1995 hit Mysterious Girl. Meanwhile, Katie has claimed she was 'banned' from seeing her daughter when she was filming scenes for The Princess Diaries in Ibiza. Mum-of-five Katie was coincidentally on the White Island and attempted to meet up with Princess in a bar. But Katie told how she broke down in tears when producers blocked it from happening. Speaking on the latest edition of The Katie Price Show podcast, she revealed: "When I was in Ibiza, Princess was there in Ibiza, and I wasn't allowed to meet up with her. "But funny enough, I walked into a bar, and there was a group of people and it was the producer of her show, and they came up to me and said, we're producing the show. I burst out crying and this producer would know it, and said, 'I'm so upset'. ''It's my daughter. I want to be involved. But that side stops me.'"

Princess Andre reveals what mum Katie Price thinks of her TV career after star vowed NOT to watch new show
PRINCESS Andre has revealed what her mum Katie Price has said about her TV show behind closed doors after vowing not to watch. The mother and daughter have been locked in a secret rift over Princess' solo reality TV show, The Princess Diaries. 6 Princess Andre has revealed what her mum really thinks about her TV show Credit: Getty 6 Katie vowed to not watch her daughter's series amid a developing rift Credit: Getty 6 But Princess and Junior have insisted that Katie is 'supportive and proud' of the show Credit: Getty Katie was reportedly left hurt after being banned from filming amid concern that it could be detrimental to Princess' image to appear alongside her mother. It led to the mum-of-five declaring that she wouldn't bother to watch the programme but Princess has now spoken out about what Katie really thinks. Speaking exclusively to The Sun to launch her brand new show, Princess confirmed that Katie was "supportive" of the show despite the tensions understood to be brewing amongst them. When asked how much input both her parents had been able to put into the show, Princess told The Sun: "They have both just been very supportive. "They have both said 'you do you' and be yourself." Her brother Junior then added: "They are both proud of us. "They are supportive and they are there. "We have learnt from them and they are veterans in this game." Although Princess claims to have been supported by Katie, the model let her feelings be really known as she ranted on her podcast about her plans to snub the programme. Katie had offered to film for three days for free as part of Princess' show but her request was turned down and it was later clarified that she would not be appearing at all. Princess Andre breaks silence on mum Katie Price's mortifying birthday blunder after star was 'banned' from party Telly bosses and industry insiders reportedly made the decision because it is 'not good for Princess to be seen with Katie'. Speaking last week, Katie said: "And it puts Princess in a situation because I don't want her to feel she has to choose between me and her work because I want her to do well. 'And I have said to Princess, just see how it feels for me because I should be there supporting you. "I want to be there to support you like my family did. And I'm your mum and especially as you're doing stuff that I did, I'm proud of you and want to be there. 6 Princess downplayed speculation of a rift Credit: ITV 6 Katie was left feeling hurt by the decision to not feature her in the show Credit: Getty "I won't be watching the show and I won't be promoting the show, because I don't need it rubbed in my face of everyone playing Happy Families," she said. Revealing the extent of how much she claims to have been pushed out, Katie continued: 'They won't allow Princess to do photo shoots with me. "They won't allow me to go to any events with Princess because they think I am trash basically. 'Now, everyone knows she's my daughter. So what difference does it make? If it wasn't for me or Pete, Princess and Junior wouldn't be known anyway. 'I find it an insult as I've been in the industry 30 years. I know this job inside and out. "If there's anyone better to advise or be there and guide Princess, it is me.'
