Amazon is selling $200 wireless earbuds for just $35, and shoppers say they ‘sound way better' than Apple AirPods

Whether you use them for jamming to music, catching up on your favorite podcast, or listening to the latest audiobook, earbuds should produce clear and crisp sound. Beyond that, a long-lasting battery life, noise-cancelling technology, and a comfortable fit in your ear are also high on the list of requirements for top-notch wireless headphones.
Normally, headphones with these top-of-the-line features can cost a pretty penny, but right now, Amazon has a limited-time deal on a highly rated pair. The Thunelec Wireless Earbuds, which typically have a retail price of $200, have been discounted by 83% for a total of just $35.
These earbuds deliver on quality. You can easily connect them to Apple and Android devices using the advanced Bluetooth technology. When fully charged, the earbuds can play for 6 to 8 hours, but by using the compact charging case, the battery power can be extended for another 48 hours. When the case does finally need charging, it only needs to be plugged in for 1.5 hours to be fully powered up.
You'll also get superior sound quality and noise cancellation when using these earbuds. Despite the small speaker, you'll feel powerful bass and bright treble notes. You can even choose from five equalizer modes, including standard, classic, jazz, rock, and pop, for the ultimate listening experience. Plus, you won't need to worry about background noise while enjoying your tunes because they have noise-cancelling technology that can significantly reduce the sounds from a busy environment.
One shopper wrote, "Compared to AirPods, these sound way better with lots of bass, and the quality is much better."Multiple shoppers compared these to AirPods, but they actually offer more features than Apple earbuds. The charging case has a colorful touch screen display that allows you to play music, switch tracks, answer calls, activate noise cancelling, and more. The earbuds are also great for working out because they're waterproof and have a snug ergonomic design that's comfortable for extended wear.
One reviewer said, "The sound? Oh, it's chef's kiss, amazing! Crisp audio with a deep, punchy bass that really hits the sweet spot. Phone calls? Super clear, like you're chatting in the same room. And can we talk about comfort? My niece has worn these for hours without a single complaint. They sit snugly in the ear and don't budge, even during her morning runs."
Another shopper wrote, "I wanted to try them out as an alternative to my AirPods when doing yard work, simply because of the cool LCD screen and inexpensive price. I'm sincerely impressed with the sound quality and functionality of these headphones and would recommend them to anyone!"
You won't be able to score 83% off the Thunelec Wireless Earbuds for long. We suggest adding them to your cart while the savings are still available.

The OnePlus Pad 3 Is a Flagship Android Tablet. Did We Need It?
Photograph: Julian Chokkattu Mind you, I still would never be able to completely replace my laptop or desktop PC with a tablet, OnePlus Pad 3 or not. There are just some things that don't work so well in specific apps, or just take a little longer in the tablet interface. (Our content management system, Airtable, has a notoriously bad tablet experience.) But for short stints at the airport or coffee shop, it's a nice alternative to lugging around a heavier machine. The keyboard is a must-have if you're spending this much on a tablet. There's decent key travel, and I enjoyed typing on it, and the trackpad is a nice size. The best feature is that you can use it attached to the OnePlus Pad 3 via the pogo pins, or it will auto-connect to the tablet via Bluetooth, so you can use it detached. That's helpful because, while you can use the OnePlus Pad 3 and the keyboard in your lap, it's not the most stable experience, so it's nice having the ability to detach and place the screen somewhere else (and prop it up with the case's kickstand). The keyboard doesn't have a USB-C port, so you can only charge it by connecting it back to the tablet. It does have NFC, so you can tap your OnePlus phone to send files, and there's a dedicated key to trigger Google's Gemini AI assistant. Speaking of accessories, there's the OnePlus Stylo 2, which hasn't seen any changes since it debuted with the OnePlus Pad 2. It's a reliable stylus and magnetically connects to the top edge of the slate, where it auto-connects and recharges. I'm not much of a stylus person, so I haven't used it much. It's worth keeping in mind that while these accessories are separate purchases, OnePlus routinely has bundles that let you snag the stylus or the keyboard case for free. There's a promo through July 7 that lets you get both for free with a purchase of the Pad 3. Photograph: Julian Chokkattu Photograph: Julian Chokkattu The battery hasn't given me any qualms. The 12,140-mAh capacity is the largest OnePlus has ever shipped, and after several hours of using three apps simultaneously in Open Canvas mode, the battery only dipped 20 percent. That'll obviously spike if you're, say, binge watching a show for several hours, but I feel comfortable saying that this battery will satisfy most. It also barely loses juice in standby mode. OnePlus throws in its fast charger in the box, so you can get a full charge from zero to 100 in 92 minutes. Upscale Tablet, Upscale Price This is all driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the flagship Android processor of 2025. OnePlus will happily tell you this is the first tablet to debut with the chip in the US, and it certainly delivers fantastic performance all around. OnePlus is trying to offer a 'premium' tablet experience here in North America, where it says there are limited options. It's not wrong: You have historically only had Samsung and Apple to choose from if you want a top-of-the-line tablet. Photograph: Julian Chokkattu

Samsung loses exclusivity over overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite, thanks to this phone
Supplied by REDMAGIC TL;DR REDMAGIC has announced the REDMAGIC 10S Pro gaming phone. This is the first non-Samsung phone to feature an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, but it also has a cooling fan. The new phone starts at $699 and is broadly available via the company's website. The Samsung Galaxy S25 phones use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which is an overclocked version of the flagship processor. Now, the first non-Samsung phone has arrived with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and it might be the performance king of 2025. REDMAGIC has announced the REDMAGIC 10S Pro, and it indeed has the so-called Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version processor. This offers a peak CPU clock speed of 4.47GHz and a peak GPU frequency of 1.2GHz. By contrast, the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite chip tops out at 4.32GHz and 1.1GHz, respectively. Our own testing previously showed that several phones with the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite processor overheated during GPU stress tests. Fortunately, REDMAGIC's new phone offers a cooling fan (24,000RPM) to keep temperatures down. But even the presence of a fan wasn't enough to stop the earlier REDMAGIC 10 Pro from severely throttling and delivering sky-high temperatures. So I'm not feeling optimistic about the 10S Pro's sustained performance under heavy load. Nevertheless, you still have other cooling measures like a large vapor chamber and 'Liquid Metal 2.0' tech. REDMAGIC 10S Pro: What else does it have? Supplied by REDMAGIC The gaming-related features don't end here. You can also expect capacitive shoulder triggers, RGB lighting, and a so-called Magic Key that takes you to the GameSpace menu by default. Thankfully, this button can be customized for other tasks. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro also offers a 7,050mAh battery, which should deliver long endurance on paper for your gaming sessions. This is paired with 80W wired charging via a bundled charger. Just don't expect wireless charging here. Other notable features include a 6.85-inch 144Hz OLED screen (1.5K) with a 16MP under-display selfie camera, a 50MP+50MP+2MP triple rear camera system, an IR blaster, and REDMAGIC OS 10.5 atop Android 15. A closer look at the phone also reveals the welcome presence of a headphone jack. REDMAGIC 10S Pro pricing and availability The good news is that this gaming phone will be available in a variety of markets, including the US, via the REDMAGIC website. Other notable locales include Asia-Pacific markets, Europe, the Middle East, and the UK. The REDMAGIC 10S Pro starts at $699 / £579 / €649 for the base 12GB/256GB model. Meanwhile, the top-end 24GB/1TB model costs $999 / £879 / €999. REDMAGIC added that it's also offering early bird pricing of $649 from June 17. Got a tip? Talk to us! What's Behind Newmont Mining's 44% Surge?
CANADA - 2025/03/23: In this photo illustration, the Newmont Mining Corporation logo is seen ... More displayed on a smartphone screen. (Photo Illustration by Thomas Fuller/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images) Newmont (NYSE:NEM)'s stock has experienced quite a bit of volatility this year. It began the year on a weak note, primarily impacted by declining gold prices and concerns regarding costs and production delays. However, things started to improve as gold prices surged—thanks to global uncertainty and increased purchases by central banks. Thus far in 2025, NEM has made a solid recovery, regaining a significant portion of its previous losses. Although it isn't breaking records, it's now in a more favorable position than it was at the beginning of the year, with a year-to-date gain of 44%. The movement in Newmont's stock price aligns with that of its peers, which include Wheaton Precious Metals (NYSE:WPM) that has risen 58% and Barrick Gold (NYSE: B) that has increased by 20% in the same timeframe. Newmont Corporation's stock has seen a recent increase due to a variety of factors. Gold prices have surged nearly 30% year-to-date, recently exceeding $3,500 per ounce. This surge is driven by global economic uncertainties, such as a U.S. trade conflict with China and political tensions surrounding Federal Reserve policy. As a major gold producer, Newmont directly benefits from higher gold prices, which enhance its revenues and profitability. Buy or Sell NEM. In 2023, Newmont finalized the acquisition of Newcrest Mining, developing an industry-leading portfolio with a long-term gold and copper production profile. The integration of Newcrest is anticipated to provide significant value to shareholders, with estimated pre-tax benefits of $500 million annually by the end of 2025. Furthermore, Newmont has been selling non-core assets, generating substantial proceeds to bolster its primary operations and financial standing. Additionally, for investors seeking potential returns with reduced volatility, the High Quality portfolio has comfortably outperformed the S&P 500, providing over 91% returns since its inception. Part of the increase observed in the last five months can be attributed to strong performance in the first quarter of 2025, propelled by soaring gold prices and strategic asset management. Revenue reached $5.01 billion, exceeding expectations by nearly $440 million. Adjusted EPS was recorded at $1.25, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.71. Although Newmont has experienced significant revenue growth since 2021, its price-to-sales (PS) multiple has declined, dropping from 3.6x in 2021 to 2.2x in 2024. While the current PS is now 3.2x, there is potential for upside when comparing the current PS to historic levels: 3.6x at the close of 2020 and 2021. In Q1 2025, Newmont reported impressive financial results, driven by record-setting gold prices and effective portfolio optimization. The company announced adjusted EPS of $1.25, significantly exceeding analyst expectations, and revenue of $5.01 billion, which was supported by an average realized gold price of $2,944 per ounce. While gold production declined by 8% year-over-year to 1.5 million ounces, primarily due to divestitures of non-core assets, the company still achieved strong profitability, reporting $2.6 billion in adjusted EBITDA and $1.2 billion in free cash flow. Newmont successfully executed key divestitures—such as the Éléonore and Akyem mines—raising over $2.5 billion in proceeds and reducing its long-term debt by $1 billion. Additionally, it returned $1 billion to shareholders through dividends and buybacks. This strong performance reaffirmed confidence in Newmont's guidance for 2025 and supported the stock's recent upward trend. We currently estimate Newmont's valuation to be approximately $60 per share, about 8% above the current market price. Focusing on valuation in addition to growth is just one of the several strategies we utilize when constructing Trefis High Quality (HQ) Portfolio which, comprising a selection of 30 stocks, has shown a history of consistently outperforming the S&P 500 over the previous 4-year period. Why is that? As a group, HQ Portfolio stocks delivered superior returns with lower risk compared to the benchmark index; providing a smoother ride, as indicated in the HQ Portfolio performance metrics.
