The No. 3-seed Wisconsin Badgers will take the court for a highly-anticipated matchup against No. 6-seed BYU in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament on Saturday night.
Despite the seed-line discrepancy, the contest is a meeting between KenPom's No. 13 (Wisconsin) and No. 24 (BYU) overall teams, making it one of the better matchups of the second round. It is also a showdown between the metric's No. 13 and No. 9-ranked offenses, respectively. Most expect a fast-paced, high-scoring battle between those units, each strong enough to lead a deep tournament run.
The Badgers enter Saturday's contest as narrow favorites. The winner will move on to face either No. 2-seed Alabama or No. 7-seed Saint Mary's in the Sweet 16 later next week. As noted throughout our preview work, Wisconsin is looking for its first second-weekend trip since 2017.
