A 28-year-old man, Vurugonda Sai, who was on his way to Goa with his wife for their honeymoon, lost his life while trying to board the moving Vasco-Da-Gama Express. Sai, a worker at a gift article manufacturing unit in Warangal, had been married just weeks earlier to Battula Madhuri (23), a nurse. The couple, accompanied by Sai's brother-in-law Vishnu Vardhan and four friends, had planned a celebratory trip to Goa. The group arrived at platform No. 9 around 9.30 am, with reservations in coach S4. According to Secunderabad Railway Police, Sai was seen boarding and deboarding the train multiple times before the incident. Around 10.30 am, he stepped off to buy a bottle of water. As the train began to pull away, his friends, noticing he hadn't returned, pulled the emergency chain to halt it. Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel responded and began questioning one of Sai's friends near the S4 coach. "In the middle of this, Sai attempted to reboard the moving train. Tragically, he lost balance and slipped into the gap between the platform and the train," said an RPF official. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top 5 Wealth Management Firms in The United States SmartAsset Learn More Undo Sai sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to a corporate hospital.
