Docs: Teens were shot in Spotsylvania County during 'Ding Dong Ditch' for TikTok
Bosworth and two friends were in a neighborhood in Spotsylvania County near Fredericksburg, taking part in the latest TikTok challenge known as the Ding Dong Ditch. It involves ringing someone's doorbell or knocking on their door, running away, and recording it for posting on social media.
When they rang the doorbell at Butler's home, police say he came out firing. Bosworth was shot and died at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was a senior lacrosse and football player at Massaponax High School and was getting ready to graduate. Butler told investigators he thought the teens were trying to break into his home.
Butler remains in jail and is scheduled for a bond hearing next week in Spotsylvania County.

If you do burnouts in your car at this local event, you can be charged
SALEM, Ohio (WKBN)- The City of Salem wanted to make the public aware of a new state law that was passed regarding burnouts. The city announced on Facebook that it will be abiding by a new law that prohibits activities like burnouts, wheelies and street racing. The post reads that drivers can be charged with a first-degree misdemeanor if they are street racing, stunt driving or participating in a street takeover. Offenders could face sanctions and have their driver's license suspended for up to three years. The city said that people who assist with this behavior will also be charged. Ohio Revised Code defines 'street racing' as the operation of two or more vehicles side-by-side at an accelerating speed in an attempt to out-distance each other. A 'street takeover' is the action of blocking or impeding the regular flow of traffic on a public road, street, highway, or public property that is open to the general public for street racing or stunt driving. Ohio Revised Code defines 'stunt driving' as performing or engaging in burnouts, doughnuts, drifting or wheelies, or allowing a passenger to ride either partially or fully outside of the vehicle while operating that vehicle. Teenage social media influencer killed for rejecting man's advances
A teenage female TikTok star was shot and killed by a man for rejecting his desperate advances, in a cold-blooded murder that shocked Pakistan with a history plagued with crimes against women. Sana Yousaf, 17, was shot at by the man who sneaked into her house in the capital Islamabad on Monday night and killed her in front of her mother, local police chief Ali Nasir Rizvi said. The police on Tuesday arrested the 22-year-old culprit from the city of Faisalabad in the central province of Punjab after several raids, online surveillance of security cameras and tracing of mobile phone locations, Rizvi said. The man confessed to his crime. 'It was a case of repeated rejections. The boy was trying to reach out to her time and again,' the police chief said at a press conference. "It was a gruesome and cold-blooded murder.' Yousaf, hailing from the remote town of Chitral near the Afghan border, had more than 800,000 followers on the popular social media app TikTok. She had another half a million followers on Instagram. Pakistan, a Muslim majority nation with a population of more than 240 million, has a history of violence against women, and murders for the rejection of marriage proposals have cropped up in the past. A US-Pakistani man beheaded his girlfriend in Islamabad in 2021 after she rejected his marriage proposal, in a crime that drew a global spotlight on the crisis in the country.
