Oscar-winning Hollywood actress
Diane Keaton had a busy end to 2024. In August, the film legend released her first eyewear collection in collaboration with Look Optic. She also created a line with Hudson Grace covering everything from dinnerware and home decor to pet accessories. A month later, on September 3, she released a new book titled Fashion First – with a foreword by Ralph Lauren – chronicling her biggest hits (and biggest flops) as a fashion icon.

To celebrate the release of Keaton's book, her 29-year-old daughter, Dexter Keaton, posted a picture on Instagram of herself dancing with her famous mum at her wedding in 2021. Keaton is also mother to a son, 25-year-old Duke Keaton.

The Father of the Bride star is a
single mum to her two children, both of whom are adopted. Dexter 'Dexie' Keaton was born on December 15, 1995, and was adopted in 1996 when Keaton was 50. Keaton's son, Duke Keaton, was born on February 8, 2000, and was adopted in 2001, when Keaton was 55. Although the Manhattan star has never been married, she embraced maternity because 'motherhood was not an urge I couldn't resist, it was more like a thought I'd been thinking for a very long time. So I plunged in', she told Ladies' Home Journal in 2008, per People.

Dexter Keaton became Dexie White when she married racer Jordan White in 2021. In August, the couple spent a romantic holiday in Hawaii for their third wedding anniversary and looked as much in love as they did when they tied the knot. Interestingly, they had their honeymoon in Hawaii, too, so the state is clearly an important place for the couple.

ER and The Pitt star Noah Wyle on his latest Emmy nomination

Twenty-six years after Noah Wyle was last nominated for an Emmy – for his role as Dr John Carter on NBC's long-running medical drama ER – the actor is back with a chance at a golden trophy. The star and executive producer of The Pitt received a nomination for lead actor in a drama series for his role as Dr Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch. Overall, HBO Max's breakout hit received 13 nominations. Wyle will be competing with Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses) and Adam Scott (Severance) for the award. While it is his first Emmy nomination since 1999, it is his sixth for playing a doctor – the previous five were for his supporting role as the med student turned hospital veteran on ER. Tuesday's nomination is his first as a lead actor in a drama. Wyle was in production on The Pitt's second season when he got the news. We caught up with him during a break. Why movie studios are still seen as good investments despite falling box offices

Box office takings are down. It is harder than ever to get people out of their homes and into the cinema. The business model for movies in streaming is still a work in progress. Given all these challenges, who would want to buy a movie studio now? Many people, it turns out. It is far from the only deal news in the film business.
