Sachin Tendulkar honoured his late father, Ramesh Tendulkar, on Father's Day with a heartfelt post.
Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to honour his late father on Sunday with a special post on Father's Day.
The Master Blaster shared a picture of himself along with his father, Ramesh Tendulkar, who breathed his last in Mumbai on 19 May 1999.
'Before the applause, before the centuries, there was a man with a pen and a gentle smile, believing in me before the world did. I carry his calm, his grace, and his love in every step," read Sachin Tendulkar's post.
Master Blaster Sachin had posted about his father earlier in May as he remembered his late father on the day he passed away.
Sachin posted on Instagram: 'It's been 26 years since you left us, and your love still lights my way. Miss you, always."

Sachin Tendulkar has often spoken with deep affection and respect for his father, whom he called his 'first guru." Just days after his father's passing, Tendulkar delivered an emotional and unforgettable 140* against Kenya in the 1999 World Cup, dedicating the match-winning knock to his late father.
During the 1999 ODI World Cup, Tendulkar had to return midway through India's campaign to attend to his father's funeral. The batting maestro returned to hit an emotional century against Kenya and celebrated the milestone by looking upwards in the sky, remembering his late father.
'It started in 1999. During the World Cup, I lost my father. I came back to India for a couple of days for his funeral and that suddenly changed me overnight," Tendulkar said. 'I went back to play the World Cup to join the team. Life changed after that. I wanted my father to be around and to see a number of things that were to happen in my life," Sachin Tendulkar had recalled earlier this year at the BCCI Naman Awards.
'From that moment on, I started showing my bat to my father. So anything good that happened in my life, I would show that to my father first and celebrate with everyone," he had added.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has spoken to BCCI and the England Cricket Board officials to continue with the Pataudi legacy in the upcoming India vs England Test series, according to a report in Cricbuzz, after the boards decided to rename the series as the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The trophy comes in place of the Pataudi Trophy, which was being given to the winners of the bilateral Test series in England, but as reports claim, the England Cricket Board has decided to retire it. ECB had communicated the decision to the members of the Pataudi family as well, although the reaction to the same have not been known. There seems to be a change of heart in the England Cricket Board after a request from Tendulkar himself. After the batting legend's request, Jay Shah, a former BCCI secretary and current chair of the ICC, came along and played a crucial role in ensuring that the Pataudi name in the bilateral series remains undiminished. 'Yes, there is a confirmed plan to retain the Pataudi link in the England-India series," an ECB official told Cricbuzz. It might be that the authorities will name a medallion in the name of the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, which will, in all likelihood, be given to the winning skipper. Meanwhile, the proposed grand launch of the trophy, the new symbol of supremacy for the Test series in England, has been postponed.
