Bunny Jackson's in Manchester is famous for its "Hotter Than The Sun" hot wings challenge.
Customers have five minutes to scoff 10 wings covered in the restaurant's iconic hot sauce, for £20 a head.
Win or lose, you'll get a free t-shirt and, as Bunny Jackson's put it, will "probably cry" too.
The challenge is so fierce, under 18s have to accompanied by an adult and can't do it at all after 4pm.
The Kismot Killer

Kismot in Edinburgh runs its "Kismot Killer" challenge - so notorious it has reportedly hospitalised two who have taken part and comes with a legal disclaimer.
It has even made an appearance on A League of their Own, leaving the panellists sweating buckets.
The challenge involves five of the world's hottest chillies mixed into a sauce which is then served up.
It currently costs £40 to take part but complete it and you'll get the curry for free.
Red Dog Saloon Burger Challenge

Red Dog Saloon has restaurants across England, including in Southampton, Liverpool and London.
Customers feeling daring can take part in its Burger Eating contest which costs £50 to enter.
Participants have 10 minutes to polish off as many burgers as possible and prizes are dependant on the number eaten.
Neck three and you'll get a Red Dog baseball cap, but down 10 and you'll get a £1,000 cash prize.
Beat the current record set by professional competitive eater Leah Shutkever (12) and you'll receive £5,000.
Greasy Pig The Paralyser

The Greasy Pig in Leeds' "The Paralyser" challenge sees customers faced with a £22 mound of fried breakfast items.
Eaters have to chug down four pieces of bacon, four sausages, four eggs, four hash browns, four toast, mushrooms, tomatoes and a tub of beans.
Finish it in under 13 minutes and the whole meal is free.
But you may want to spend the rest of the day on the sofa after completing it.
Pattersons' Quadruple Bipass Burger Challenge

Pattersons' burger challenge is not for the faint-hearted

This challenge, as the name hints at, is not one to be taken lightly.
Run by Pattersons in Liverpool, customers pay £20 and have 20 minutes to down a mound of food.
You'll have to finish off two burger patties, hash browns, bacon, sliced cheese, two thick slices of goats cheese and one block of cheddar.
That's not all either, as there are also four onion rings, four pieces of fried chicken, a bucket of coleslaw and a pile of fries to eat.
Complete the challenge and you'll get the cost of the meal paid for you.
Tank and Paddle's Dude vs Dough

Tank and Paddle has two locations across London where customers can take part in its "Dude vs Dough" challenge.
You have to finish off a yard long flatbread pizza and tray of mac and cheese within 15 minutes.
It'll set you back £20 to take part but win and you'll get a £50 bar tab - not a bad way to celebrate.
Slattery's Chocolate Challenge

Slattery's in Manchester runs the perfect challenge for sweet-toothed customers.
The Chocolate Challenge costs £25 to take part in and requires you to down the following: American style Chocolate Fudge Cake with chocolate ice cream, a portion of Fresh Cream, two chocolate pots filled with liquid chocolate sauce and a glass of hot chocolate.
Anyone who polishes off the mound of sugary goodness gets a Slattery chocolate medal and 100g box of handmade chocolates.
However, you must complete the challenge by yourself.

But the 41-year-old from Torbay, Devon, received an email from Gala Bingo stating: 'Unfortunately, due to a technical error on Monday 4th August 2025, your account was incorrectly credited with Bingo winnings.' Fuming, Jacqui told The Sun: 'It's absolutely outrageous how big companies can play with people's lives like this, it's disgraceful. 'I'm a fairly regular player with Gala Bingo, but I don't pay big stakes or anything. 'I started playing at 4.30pm on Monday and got my first big win at about 7.20pm, for well over £1,200, I couldn't believe my luck. 'Then I got another win 20 minutes later for £2,280 and was already spending the money in my head. 'Then I won £1,600, £2400 and then another prize of £1,800. 'I won a few more prizes before it stopped, I had almost £10k in my account.' Jacqui said she saw other 'winners' asking the Gala chat host whether the prizes were genuine and it responded that they were, adding, 'enjoy your winnings'. She immediately withdrew the cash from her Gala account only to discover the money never made it to her bank account 'I was going to pay to get my daughter tested for autism because the NHS wait is so long and I'd planned to pay the rest of my husband's car off,' she said, adding: 'I'm absolutely gutted. When you've been told you've won something and then it's snatched away, it makes you feel terrible.' Pensioner Jill Douthwaite, 72, from Edenbridge, Kent, won £2,700 on the online game and hoped to use her winnings to pay for an op for her Collie-cross Cooper. 4 The winners desperately contacted Gala Bingo to resolve the issue 'I was so relieved because I thought I could spend £500 to save my dog's eyesight,' she said. 'We're a family who can't afford to go on holidays and we've been struck with a lot of bad luck in the past too. 'My daughter even phoned her dad to say she could repay his loan for the car, but then she had to go back on her word because Gala Bingo did.' Banking customer service agent Joseph Morphus, 21, said he clocked an unusual amount of people winning big in the chat on Monday. He said: 'It was extremely weird, people were getting such big amounts, and as a runner up I got £1,000 having literally bet pennies. 'The withdrawal process went normally, but then it never arrived and in the morning my account had been closed.' Last month, Joseph, from Nottingham, Notts, suffered a brain bleed after he was injured playing football, so had been surviving on sick leave pay. 'It's been really tough, I've been really short of cash, and the win was like a breath of fresh air,' he said. But now he's fuming, adding: 'It's ridiculous, it's their problem, the fat cats are sitting in their mansions and now they're not paying what's ours." Single mum Natasha Varcoe, 23, from Sherborne, Dorset, is also gutted after bagging £5,000 having bet just a fiver. She planned to spend the cash on driving lessons so she could see more of her parents who live an hour away. Disappointed, she said: 'It might not be much to other people, but we've just moved into a council house and I don't have any carpets.' While mum Victoria Geer, 28, said when her screen flashed a runner up reward of £2,400 on Monday, she screeched to her partner Ryan, a drainage engineer, that she'd won. 'It was bananas, it then happened twice more, I just couldn't believe it,' she recalls. When she won £7,200 off a £15 stake, she decided to cash in and planned to take her family on holiday, but no money arrived. Since the false prize bonanza, angry customers have taken to TrustPilot to rate Gala Bingo one star and hundreds have vented their anger in online groups. One user wrote: 'Like a lot of people last night who apparently won big money absolutely disgusted at how this can happen. We paid to play, didn't we!' While another said: 'They like taking your money but don't like paying out.' Gala Bingo sent a message to customers informing them they would not receive their winnings, but would be refunded what they spent on Bingo Tickets. The firm says the technical glitch happened on Monday night, causing chaos for around two hours. It has contacted the Gambling Commission over the incident. A Gala Bingo spokesperson said: "We apologise to customers for a technical error which occurred during our Summer Nights Bingo promotion for a short period of time, resulting in all players receiving incorrect payouts. "Our customer Terms and Conditions clearly state that in the event of a malfunction, winnings can be voided. "Affected players have been contacted directly with a gesture of goodwill."

BBC bring back iconic line-up of presenters and commentators from past for unique throwback edition of Sportscene

It's the show's 50th anniversary and the corporation is to mark it with a special one-off throwback edition featuring famous presenters and commentators from down the decades. Veteran commentator and presenter Archie Macpherson - who appeared on the inaugural Sportscene in 1975 - will be providing commentary at the v Motherwell match that day, while Jock Brown, who was a commentator on the show in the 1990s, will be behind the microphone for the Livingston v Falkirk match. Rob Maclean, who has had two spells with the programme as commentator and presenter covering a total of more than 25 years, will be commentating on the Rangers v Dundee game. Dougie, who spent 32 years on the show, will be joined in the studio by current presenter Steven Thompson who'll be providing analysis of the day's action along with Gordon Smith, another well-known face from the programme's past. The programme will also feature archive footage stretching back to the black and white television era. Donelly said: 'It was a great time for Scottish football and the Saturday night sports programme was absolutely required viewing. "I did 33 consecutive Scottish Cup Finals – what a privilege to have been in the hot seat for so many of the big occasions, including all the World Cups and everything else. "I was hugely lucky and very much appreciate that. "I'm looking forward to going back on the show. Fortunately, I'm still working in broadcasting, so it's not going to be as intimidating as it might have been. "It's live TV, what I've done my whole career, and it'll be fantastic to go back again and talk about Scottish football. Amy Irons and BBC pundits plunged into half darkness at half time during Scotland Under-21 clash "I look forward to seeing the reaction from the Scottish footballing public." Rob Maclean had his first spell as presenter and commentator from 1990 to 2004, returned in 2009 and still works for Sportscene as a freelance. He said: "It's an iconic football show that has long been part of the vocabulary of our national game. "It's something I would have never contemplated as a youngster being involved in, having watched it. I feel privileged and honoured to be part of the Sportscene story. "It's difficult to pick out a highlight because there have been so many, but one of the most memorable moments was being the tv commentator for Scotland against Brazil on the opening day of the 1998 World Cup in France. "It was a 'pinch me' moment to be part of that occasion – while trying not to think about how massive the audience was. "And of course, for a spell Scotland were level with Brazil – we dreamed at that point that we might beat the World Champions." Jock Brown, who was with Sportscene for seven years from 1990, said: "I was absolutely delighted to have been on the show. I go back a long time – having started on BBC Radio Scotland in 1977 – and I was in and around the Sportscene studio back then. I knew that was the place to be. "During my time on Sportscene I did live commentary for the Cup Finals, internationals, and European club matches. "Sadly, I didn't do a World Cup tournament for the Beeb because we didn't qualify in 1994. 4 A BBC Sport microphone Credit: Alamy "The big stand out game for me was the first Cup Final, because it was probably one of the best Cup Finals there had ever been. Motherwell 4 Dundee United 3 after extra time and the teams were managed by the McLean brothers – both of whom I knew very well! The game was an absolute cracker. 'I've done a lot of broadcasting since leaving Sportscene and I'm really looking forward to going back on the show. It'll be good fun. It's an iconic programme that has a big place in the story of sports broadcasting in Scotland." Prior to his 15 years with Sportscene, Archie Macpherson had spent 13 years on another BBC Scotland show which had paved the way – Sportsreel. He said: "I started in 1962 with Sportsreel – on Black Saturday, the weekend of the Cuban missile crisis. My first report was Hamilton against Stenhousemuir at a time when the world was worried about nuclear warfare. "Programmes rely on the events they cover – and I was lucky enough to cover a succession of World Cups for Sportscene. They gave the programme a great status in the public eye. "The World Cup provided one of my career highlights – Archie Gemmill's goal in Mendoza. It was a stand–out for me, and of course it went on to be featured in Trainspotting – although I had to record another commentary for the film because the sound quality of the original wasn't strong enough." 'I'm very grateful for this opportunity to go back on the show. It's quite a gesture after all this time away from commentating on Sportscene.'
