flyadeal joins Saudia's Alfursan loyalty programme
flyadeal has joined sister airline Saudia's AlFursan loyalty programme giving members additional travel options to earn and redeem reward miles with the Kingdom's fast-growing low-cost carrier. It's the latest move by flyadeal towards further integration with national flag carrier Saudia, which codeshares on its entire domestic and international network. The new partnership was signed at a ceremony held at Saudia's headquarters in Jeddah by Steven Greenway, flyadeal Chief Executive Officer, and Essam Akhonbay, Vice President of AlFursan. The event was presided by His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Saudia Group Director General. Steven Greenway, flyadeal CEO, said: 'Joining AlFursan was just a matter of time for flyadeal. We've scaled our operations significantly across Saudi Arabia and internationally that now give members of the AlFursan loyalty programme more travel options with great flexibility to earn and redeem reward miles on flyadeal's rapidly growing network.
'Being the leading loyalty programme in the Kingdom, AlFursan has developed a diverse membership and partnership base for which we are delighted to be joining. With the sharp rise in the number of tourists, business travellers and pilgrims to, from and within Saudi Arabia, we are creating a dynamic aviation ecosystem built on demand, appeal, choice and loyalty.'
Essam Akhonbay, Vice President of AlFursan, added: 'We are focused on expanding our member base while introducing exceptional partnerships such as the one with flyadeal, to enhance the programme and offer more exclusive rewards than ever before. This includes increasing our partner network and launching new features designed to provide more options for members to earn and redeem their reward miles. Our goal is for AlFursan to be the most rewarding loyalty programme in Saudi Arabia, and one of the best globally.'
Unlike many airline-led loyalty programmes, AlFursan reward miles can be redeemed for available seats on any flyadeal flight without blackout restrictions or limited inventory. Redemption covers the full cost of the flight, including fees and taxes.
When redeeming reward miles for a flight on flyadeal, AlFursan members are guaranteed the same high level experience and support as flyadeal paying passengers.
Being the largest loyalty programme in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with over nine million members, AlFursan provides its membership with an extensive range of benefits, offers and rewards through over 40 global partnerships including banks, hotels, car rental companies, retailers and insurance providers.
Since inception in 2017, flyadeal has been catapulted into the region's fastest growing airline with a current fleet of 39 Airbus A320 family aircraft serving over 30 seasonal and year-round destinations in Saudi Arabia, Middle East, Europe, North Africa and South Asia. The airline is set to more than triple in size in fleet and destinations served by 2030.
Last week, flyadeal embarked on its summer seasonal flying programme to five destinations from bases in Riyadh and Jeddah. Over the next two months, flyadeal will serve Baku (Azerbaijan), Tbilisi (Georgia), Trabzon (Turkey), Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina) and Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt).
New year-round scheduled services were introduced last month to Alexandria (Egypt) and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (Turkey). And beginning July 2, flyadeal will operate flights from Jeddah to Assiut in central Egypt.

Revenue for the quarter reached AED 1.69 billion, a 2 percent increase year-on-year. Between April and June 2025, over 5.1 million passengers flew with Air Arabia Group across its various hubs—a 15 percent increase compared to 4.5 million passengers in Q2 2024. The airline's average seat load factor, which reflects the percentage of occupied seats, climbed by 6 percent to reach 85 percent during the quarter. Chairman's statement on Q2 results Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, commented that the Q2 performance underscores the resilience of the airline's business model and the effectiveness of its growth strategy. Despite regional geopolitical tensions and operational disruptions caused by conflict and flight cancellations, the airline demonstrated agility and efficiency. He noted that investments in increasing capacity across all hubs helped achieve record load factors, driven by continued strong demand for air travel. H1 2025 performance and growth From January to June 2025, Air Arabia recorded a net profit of AED 770 million, reflecting an 11 percent increase compared to AED 693 million in the same period of 2024. Passenger numbers during this period also grew, with over 10.1 million people flying on Air Arabia, a 13 percent increase compared to the first half of last year. The average seat load factor for the first half of 2025 rose to 84 percent. Network expansion and operational resilience Al Thani emphasised that during the first half of 2025, Air Arabia expanded its operations by launching new routes, increasing flight frequencies in key markets, and adding new aircraft to its fleet. These developments enhanced the airline's network, capacity, and customer experience. He noted that this growth was achieved despite ongoing challenges such as political instability, fluctuating fuel and currency prices, and supply chain constraints. He credited the airline's growth and performance to a strong business model and a capable management team. Future outlook and strategic focus Looking ahead to the remainder of 2025, Al Thani confirmed Air Arabia's focus on expanding connectivity, entering new markets, and further improving operational efficiency and innovation. He reiterated the company's commitment to delivering exceptional value to its customers while ensuring sustainable growth and strong shareholder returns. Fleet expansion and route growth In the first half of 2025, Air Arabia added two new aircraft to its fleet, bringing the total to 83 owned and leased Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also expects to begin receiving deliveries from its 120-aircraft Airbus order by the end of 2025. Air Arabia launched 13 new routes across its hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan during this period, further expanding its global network. Recognition and ESG commitment In June, Air Arabia was named for the second year in a row among Forbes Middle East's 'Top 100 Listed Companies 2025.' The airline also retained its 'AA' score in the MSCI ESG Ratings, maintaining its position in the 'Leader' category. Additionally, Air Arabia obtained a Limited Assurance Statement on its 2024 ESG Report, conducted under the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE 3000), demonstrating its continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable growth.
