Border authorities have arrested an Indian citizen living illegally in the US wanted for child predator charges.Gurdev Singh, 42, was arrested Wednesday by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Port of Champlain border crossing in New York.Singh had an active felony arrest warrant from Indiana.

CBI seeks custody of law tribunal official, aide to probe Rs 3-lakh bribery case

Incriminating WhatsApp messages exchanged between Singh and Nagarale were allegedly deleted from their mobile CBI said it needed time for a custodial interrogation of Singh to investigate the nature of the conversation regarding the Rs 50,000 payment. The agency also said it plans to collect voice samples of the accused and confront them with each other and other CBI further stated that it could not complete the investigation within 24 hours of arresting Singh and Singh has filed a bail application through his lawyer SK Saxena, arguing that the "grounds of arrest" cited by the CBI were vague and lacked specific attribution of plea also stated that searches at Singh's residences in Lucknow and Mumbai did not yield any incriminating material and only Rs 22,000 in cash was Judge AV Kharkar directed Singh's counsel and Special Public Prosecutor Sandeep Singh, appearing for the CBI, to file responses to each other's applications. The court will hear the matter on June 9.

West Virginia stepfather kills crying baby after hurling him in a fit of frustration

According to WDTV, when police asked about substance or alcohol use in the home, the grandparents mentioned that the baby's mother occasionally smoked Delta 8, a cannabis-derived product, but always did so outside the house. They added that they had never suspected neglect from either parent. The baby's mother told officers that her son had been especially fussy that morning due to illness. After feeding him breakfast, she attempted to put him down for a nap but struggled, prompting her to wake Williams for help. As per the criminal complaint, Williams took the child into the bedroom, and shortly after, he began yelling for help. The mother found the baby limp and immediately called 911 while attempting CPR. Two days later, an autopsy revealed a severe skull fracture at the back of the baby's head — an injury the examining doctor confirmed was caused by significant trauma. Following the findings, police re-interviewed both parents. Williams then admitted to having thrown the child in a moment of frustration, stating, 'It was all my fault.'
