And one of her most budget-friendly tips is to book a half-board holiday, so you can make a packed lunch during breakfast to take out with you.
The professional organiser from Essex, said she and husband, Graham Lewis, 50, will always make a sandwich and grab a piece of fruit to take away from their breakfast buffet and eat later in the day.
And thanks to a set of £12 collapsible food containers from Amazon, she can slip them into her bag.
Nicola believes that the handy trick has saved her and her husband £600 on their recent week-long trip to Cyprus, as they didn't need to go and splash out on a meal at lunch time - which would usually set them back around £85 a day.

Nicola said: "I do check with the hotel that it's allowed beforehand - and I've never been told no.
"Looking at the reduction of waste, those buffets are always overstocked - and you've paid for it if it was available at breakfast.
"Some people have five plates of food at breakfast - but we're not big eaters so we can't have that much there and then.
"Holidays are so expensive now already, and spending extra on a lunchtime meal is a big expense."
She added how as a child, her parents would always make her pack a picnic from the breakfast offering where they were staying.
Now, as a mum of two children aged 21 and 17 - she has kept the habit.
How to experience six European destinations for less than £500
Typically, Nicola will opt for a bread roll filled with meats or cheeses with some salad.
She will then also grab a piece of fruit and fit it into her collapsible boxes.
Depending on what they are doing that day, the couple will then either take the lunchbox out with them or pop it in the hotel fridge to return to at lunchtime.
She said: "If we had gone out for a meal at lunch, I reckon we would have spent £85 per meal - for 7 days - it really adds up."
Of course, this works out to around £42 each for lunch, which is certainly a rather pricey spend.

However, Nicola added that the pair work hard to be able to afford a holiday, so when they are away they try and budget the best they can.
She shared: "I bought a pack of collapsible food containers from Amazon for £12 and I slip them into my bag as I go down for breakfast.
"The same with taking a reusable water bottle down to fill up too, since you often have to pay for water abroad.
"You can wash them in your hotel room sink so they're ready for the next day - it's a clever idea to save money."
Another woman has shared how she saved £1000 on a package holiday by booking everything herself.

The research, by UK holidays firm Hoseasons, has taken factors of each area into account, such as the average holiday park cost, budget-friendly meal cost for a family of three, free or budget-friendly attractions, child-friendly attractions, and the price of a one-way public transport ticket. Just one region north of the border made the top 10 list of the UK's best budget staycation spots. The Scottish Highlands ranked as the fourth best affordable holiday area, scoring 58.67 out of 100. Home to around 230,000 people, a family can stay at a holiday park in the dramatic region of islands, glens, lochs, moors and mountains for around £959. A budget-friendly meal for a family of three costs around £45 and there are 255 free or affordable attractions per 100,000 people - the most out of the top 10. There are also 149 attractions suitable for kids per 100k people - the highest out of the top 10 - and a one-way public transport ticket costs £2.67 on average. The Isle of Wight came out on top, with a total score of 67.07 out of 100. The Island, off the south coast of England, has the lowest population out of the top 10 with around 140,000 people. The average cost of a holiday park stay in the Isle of Wight was found to be £646. This Hotel is Home to the UK's Only Swim-Up Bar A family of three can enjoy a meal for around £42 and the island has 135 free or budget-friendly attractions per 100,000 people. There are also 88 child-friendly attractions per 100k people and a one-way public transport ticket costs £2.40. Dorset and Devon in the south of England ranked second and third, respectively, with scores of 64.75 and 59.83 out of 100. Essex was named as the fifth most affordable place for a family holiday in the UK, with the average price of a holiday park costing £523 - the cheapest out of the top 10. The average cost of a budget-friendly meal for a family of three in the southeast county was £40.50, also the lowest out of the ranked regions. East Sussex ranked sixth, Kent came seventh, Cumbria was listed as eighth, Norfolk was named ninth, and Gloucestershire was tenth. Ebony Cropper, a money-saving expert at Money Wellness, offered some advice on what families can do to cut holiday costs and stick to their budget. She said: 'One way you can help save more from the start is to use up any points or rewards you've accumulated from credit cards or loyalty schemes. "If you've got a travel credit card, this can help cover flights or even hotel stays. It's often an underused resource that can make a big difference when it comes to reducing travel costs. 'You can also take advantage of the different school holiday schedules in Scotland compared to England. Flights from Scottish airports can be cheaper when local kids are still in school, and you'll often find domestic hotels are more affordable too. "This allows you to travel during quieter times when prices haven't inflated for peak holiday periods.' She added: "There are plenty of great activities that don't cost a thing. Walks, spending time at local parks or visiting the beach are all good days out. "And many museums and attractions offer free entry or reduced prices on certain days, so it's worth checking local listings. Websites like Facebook events, local tourism boards, or community pages usually list free events, such as festivals, markets, or outdoor concerts."

Excited squeals My sons, George, five, and three-year-old Olly, were enchanted as we boarded the 4D flying bus driven, erratically, by their favourite character, Donkey. Water was squirted at us as we veered too close to a river, and the wind whipped our hair as we zoomed into the clouds. Cue lots of excited squeals. Hundreds of thousands of Shrek fans, including celeb mums Myleene Klass and Amy Childs, pay a visit to Shrek's Adventure! London every year. No wonder it is a TripAdvisor Traveller's Choice. On our visit, we 'crashed' the bus and bumped off one of Rumpelstiltskin's favourite witches, and were then tasked with collecting ingredients to make an escape potion. Audience participation, especially getting grown-ups to do silly things, is at the heart of this hilarious experience. Cinderella persuaded my husband Patrick, 39, to put his hand down the loo in search of gold. The kids went wild as loud fart noises filled the room. A fortune teller then directed us to the Poison Apple Pub, where we danced with barmaid Doris and bumped into Puss in Boots. We got lost in the Mirror Maze — Olly was in awe, 'Mummy, there are loads of us!' — before Sleeping Beauty saved us. Despite the fact she kept dozing off, to much amusement, we reached The Bakery, where the Muffin Man helped us mix the elixir, spurred on by 'Gingy' The Gingerbread. The kids gasped as the cauldron bubbled. Just when we thought it was all over, we were thrown in prison. Plot twist. Fortunately, Princess Fiona was there to help us make our getaway. We were then congratulated on our heroism by Shrek, who greeted us with high-fives, before we headed back into the real world. Shrek's Adventure! London is far far and away the best day out. 'Easy to fold up' £14 raincoat that comes in 8 colours may be perfect for TRNSMT
A travel raincoat may be an essential item for the Glasgow festival next month as the weather remains unpredictable. Despite being near the end of June, the weather in the UK remains unpredictable, with rain, sun and thunderstorms predicted in upcoming forecasts. With many of us counting down to upcoming outdoor events, such as organised walks, concerts and festivals, it can be difficult to plan what to wear. With temperatures are by no means on the chilly side, one essential item people may want to carry around is a travel raincoat. Lightweight enough to be carried around in a bag, these handy coats will keep festival-goers dry if hit with a sudden downpour. For those considering buying one, Amazon is selling UNIQUEBELLA Travel Raincoat for £14.59, with the black edition currently down to £13.99. With shoppers praising it for being "lightweight" and able to "fold up into a handbag" it could be a must-have item for TRNSMT next month. Available in black, yellow, purple, white, khaki, orange, lemon yellow and white with grey, shoppers will be able to match this 'trendy' raincoat to their chosen festival outfit. Described as both waterproof and fashionable, the raincoat is made from a high-quality, eco-friendly and transparent EVA material. Featuring a waterproof drawstring hood and buttoned closures, this raincoat was made to keep users dry in the summer rain from head to toe. Available in sizes M, L and XL, shoppers can choose the coat that will best suit them by referring to the size guide. The raincoat is also said to be lightweight, soft and breathable, allowing wearers to move freely when worn. And once the weather clears, the jackets are quick to dry so can be neatly folded away back into a backpack or travel bag without taking up too much room. UNIQUEBELLA Travel Raincoat £14.59 Amazon Buy Now Product Description Another popular raincoat on Amazon is the 33,000ft Women's Rain Jacket. Retailing at £36.99, the jacket is available in sizes 8 to 22 and comes in 14 different colours. Over 300 have bought the UNIQUEBELLA Travel Raincoat in the last 30 days, with many shoppers leaving reviews sharing how they enjoyed that the jacket was both fashionable and practical. One happy shopper wrote: "I haven't worn this raincoat out yet, but I can say that the quality is good and it's actually looks quite stylish on. I purchased the longer length and at 5'8", it covers to well below mid calf. "Ideal in very rainy weather. Hopefully it will keep me dry. It's easy to fold up as well, so should fit easily into rucksacks/ cross body bags etc; when not needed." With another five-star reviewer adding: "Covers me up completely, bought larger size so it fits easily over a jacket. Folds up small enough to fit in a handbag and always be to hand. Also it's lightweight for the summer downpours. Good value for money." However, one shopper struggled with the sizing. They said: "Unfortunately the sleeves were too short and the item isn't as transparent as it appears in the photo. "I'm 6'2' and ordered a large after reading the size chart, but the sleeves are shorter than stated. Shame because it's of a decent enough quality!" While another noted a way to improve the coat: "Would be better with pockets." Despite this, a delighted shopper said: "Purchased this as I had to have a rain coat as I had a lot of outdoor gigs and we had so much rain in 2023. It looks really trendy and everyone commented on it. Comes in a very handy clutch bag style storage which it was easy to get back into. I definitely had the coolest rain coat out of all my friends." With one more adding: "I bought this as I was going to Italy and the forecast was not good but I wanted to still look like I was on holiday as it was May after all. This was ideal as I could fold it up and put it in my bag to take out with me for when there was a sudden downpour. It kept me dry completely and equally the coat dried off pretty quick as well."
