Brunel University win Championship final at Twickenham
The Uxbridge-based side swept past Stamford 45-15 in the southwest London sunshine thanks to a five-try burst during the first half which put them in total control of proceedings.
Brunel, who lost 43-31 in the Counties 2 Championship final to Old Rutlishians last year, did not let up during the second half either, adding two more scores to complete the comprehensive win.
'I am massively proud of the boys,' said Ingram. 'We have been going for nearly 10 months and have played 26 games up to this point, only dropping one.
'It has taken a lot of effort to keep the boys motivated and to their credit, they have continued to work hard and have not complained once.
'This victory is a massive reward for their effort, and I love being part of this with them.'

Brunel captain Jack Thorn broke the deadlock with the try of the match inside the opening 10 minutes.
The fly-half intercepted the ball from a stray Stamford pass before sprinting the length of the field to crash over.
Flanker Harvey Hart then struck with a brace – both efforts opportunistically taken from close range - to give Brunel a commanding lead midway through the first half.
Winger Ben Radnor further extended the advantage of the Londoners, brilliantly side-stepping his way past the last player in his way to score on 27 minutes.
Stanford refused to roll over however, and George Cox's battling try in the corner five minutes before the break demonstrated there was still fight left in his team.
But Nick Gali's try minutes before the interval capped off a dominant first half for the university side, with the scoreline reading 33-5.
Brunel's momentum continued after the break, as Martin Cernohorsky powered over for the men in grey's sixth try.
Stamford's Freddie Chapman made sure his side would not go scoreless during the second period and Edward Cox made sure his team had the final word after Ollie Thompson had added Brunel's seventh try.
Ingram is also hoping the triumph will propel his outfit to future success, adding: 'We are trying to get this Saturday group as high as we can in terms of promotions as fast as we can, and this result will only help.'

Lennon reckons the football - outwith his old club Celtic - is not as exciting as it used to be and hopes to see an improvement in the coming season Neil Lennon says it's time the chasing pack in the Scottish Premiership raised their game. The Dunfermline boss reckons there's been a marked drop in quality outwith Celtic in recent seasons - and the football isn't as exciting as it once was. Rangers and Hearts have been boosted with fresh investment and new management ahead of the new campaign as they look to mount a challenge for silverware. Scottish Cup winners Aberdeen can also look forward to another Euro windfall after clinching guaranteed group stage football while Hibs have welcomed the input of Bill Foley's Black Knights for the past year. Now Lennon, whose Pars side have also benefited from a cash injection from new owners, hopes the positive vibes in boardrooms at our top clubs can be reflected on the park too. Russell Martin and Derek McInnes are set to bring in new eras at Rangers and Hearts and Lennon reckons the challenge is there for them and others to lift their levels. Asked if the fresh investment in the game is exciting, he said: 'I hope so. I've not been overly impressed with the levels in the last couple of years. 'So I'm hoping there's going to be an improvement in the consistency of performance and quality from the teams. 'Not just domestically, but in Europe as well. I think there's been a drop-off. I don't know if it's over-coaching or over-analysis. It's not just in Scottish football. 'It's just a view I have of the game overall. I don't think it's as good as it was maybe a decade ago. Not as exciting or teams aren't as consistent as they used to be. 'I'll give an example. My first year back in the Premiership at Hibs we got 67 points and finished fourth. I don't know what fourth place got you this year, 53. 'Take Celtic out the equation and for the rest of the teams, the big clubs, I'm thinking there has to be more consistency there to give the other teams a bloody nose. 'Is outside investment what's been needed? I don't know. We've had outside investment before.' Analytics is the buzzword across Scottish football these days with Hearts benefiting from Brighton owner Tony Bloom's Jamestown tool and Hibs well down the road using Foley's Black Knights model. It's coming into play at Dunfermline too under new owners James Bord and Evan Sofer. Bord is a former poker champion who founded the sports data company Short Circuit Science. The US-based businessman even spent time working for Hearts' new investor Bloom earlier in his career. Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen, Connor Young and Tashan Oakley-Boothe have already been signed with the help of analytics. And Lennon admits it's about who does data best. He said: 'Yeah, probably. Brighton are the classic example, Brentford as well. The improvement in those two clubs has been fantastic and their recruitment is fantastic. 'It's all about that, it is 80 percent of my job, that will help me bring success to the football club. It's not set in stone, if I like a player and say I think we should go for him then he (Bord) would have no qualms about doing that. 'But he does bring a different variation on how you recruit a player, what to look at. You need the evidence and already with Mullen, with Young and with Oakley-Boothe we are seeing evidence that can be successful. 'Management is a really different now. A lot of clubs have a structure where if the appointment of a head coach doesn't work out they take him out and put someone else in but the structure remains. 'That was not the case when I started managing 15 years ago. A lot of clubs have that template. We don't as yet but I think it is something James wants to bring to the club.'

Manchester United are determined to make Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo their second signing of the summer but they could face competition from one of their Premier League rivals Thomas Frank has told Spurs he wants them to rival Manchester United for £60million Bryan Mbeumo. Frank is set to be confirmed as Ange Postecoglou 's successor next week and is keen to take Brentford's in-demand forward with him to north London. Mbeumo would represent a statement signing for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who could trump United's bid with Champions League football. Although United remain favourites for the 25-year-old's signature, Mbeumo now has a decision as to whether to follow his head or his heart. The Cameroon international bagged 20 league goals over the past season to attract the attention of United and Newcastle with the Magpies' January move for him rejected. Only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland outscored him in the top flight last term, while his seven assists were also key in helping Brentford to a top-half finish. United have made two bids for him with the player, as things stand, open to a move and undeterred by their poor first season under Ruben Amorim. Mbeumo has a year left on his contract with an option for an extra year. But United, who have held extensive talks with his representatives for some time, have yet to agree a deal with Brentford, leaving the door open for Spurs to make their move. The offer on the table at Old Trafford is around £150,000-a-week with add-ons taking the package up to £200,000-a-week. Spurs would offer Mbeumo around £130,000-a-week and although bonuses would still leave them short of the United package, the north Londoners would still have the pull of Champions League football and Frank - who turned Mbeumo into one of the most feared forwards in the top flight. Mbeumo's hot streak last season ended fears that the Bees would struggle after seeing star striker Ivan Toney leave for Saudi Arabia on Transfer deadline day in August.
