How Sandra Bullock turned Dakota Johnson's infamous Razzie win for Madame Web into something positive

Rumours have been swirling that Dakota Johnson and Coldplay's Chris Martin have ended their eight-year relationship. Adding to a challenging few months, Dakota also took home a Razzie Award for her role in Madame Web (2024), a film that failed to impress audiences and critics alike. In a recent episode of Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, Johnson opened up about a surprising message she received from none other than Sandra Bullock. The Hollywood icon reached out after Dakota's Razzie win for Worst Actress, an infamous award that Bullock herself once won. 'I recently actually exchanged texts — well, I got a voice note — from Sandra Bullock, because I don't know if you know, but I won the Razzie for Worst Actress,' Johnson revealed. 'There's a lot of good people who have won that… but Sandra Bullock sent me a voice note, being like 'I heard you are in the Razzie club and we should have brunch, we should have a monthly brunch.' Because I guess she won that the year that she won the Oscar as well. It was in the same year, I think.' Johnson shared how special the message felt: 'I freaked out getting this message from her because she's so iconic to me, as like a movie star. I was like, 'Oh my God.' I was just crazy.' The Razzie sweep wasn't just a blow to Johnson personally; Madame Web itself was a major disappointment, taking home Worst Picture and Worst Screenplay awards. The film, which stars Johnson as Cassandra Webb — a paramedic who gains precognitive abilities after a near-death experience — fell flat with audiences. Earlier, Dakota stood firm in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, asserting that the film's failure was not her fault.

Sabrina Carpenter slammed for new album Man's Best Friend cover: Internet says she's ‘posing like a dog,' feeding the male gaze

Sabrina Carpenter's new album is already generating major buzz, but not for reasons she may have expected. On June 11, the Grammy-winning singer announced her seventh studio album, Man's Best Friend, which drops August 29. Alongside the announcement came the album artwork alleged to be its cover, which shows Carpenter, 26, kneeling on all fours as a man stands behind her holding her hair. The imagery immediately sparked backlash online, with many accusing her of playing into the male gaze when she could have empowered women with the influence she has. What is 'Man's Best Friend' about? The album title Man's Best Friend was already raising a few eyebrows, but the visuals took things to another level. It didn't help that the lead single, Manchild, which dives into messy gender dynamics and toxic relationships, dropped right before. The song shot to No. 1 on both Spotify U.S. and Global charts, and the music video has already pulled in over 17 million views on YouTube. To top it off, Sabrina shared a cropped pic of a dog sporting a blue collar with a heart-shaped tag that reads 'Man's Best Friend'. View this post on Instagram Reddit slams Sabrina Carpenter's new album cover On Reddit's pop culture forum r/Fauxmoi, users criticised the album cover for its alleged male gaze tropes. One user commented, 'I'm going to be that person and say she's not beating the 'catering to the male gaze' allegations. What are we doing here?' Another commented, 'Sabrina, if what brings you joy is being treated like a dog by men in private, that's between you, them, and your therapist. But don't promote it like it's empowering.' One user stated, 'I never understood the appeal of female degradation. Certain kinks aren't empowering, healing, or helpful to women. They're just weirdly normalized now.'erstood the appeal of female degradation. Certain kinks aren't empowering, healing, or helpful to women. They're just weirdly normalized now.' Others pointed out the stark contrast between what celebrities like Carpenter could choose to represent and what they actually put forward. 'Being a woman is degrading enough,' one Redditor wrote. 'Why would I want my loved ones to degrade me too?' One commenter implied, "So she is posing 'like a dog' on an album called 'Man's Best Friend'?' Like, she's supposed to be a submissive animal for a man who owns her or something? Is that what this whole thing is implying?' Sabrina Carpenter has announced her newest album 'Man's Best Friend'. Releasing August 29th. byu/cmaia1503 inFauxmoi The internet compares Sabrina's latest move to Sydney Sweeney's The criticism gained even more traction when fans began comparing Carpenter's rollout to Sydney Sweeney's recent marketing move. Just days ago, Sweeney faced similar backlash after launching her bathwater-infused soap line in collaboration with Dr. Squatch, an ad campaign some felt was 'a satire of itself,' tapping into fetishistic humour in a way that didn't sit right with everyone. Meanwhile, despite the backlash, there's no denying Carpenter is having a massive year. She recently took home two Grammy Awards for her previous album, Short n' Sweet, and its hit single, Espresso. The second leg of her sold-out Short n' Sweet tour kicks off this October, riding the momentum of her continued commercial success.

'No pink stuff': Kevin Hart humiliates Stefon Diggs and Cardi B on live TV over shocking yacht scandal

Kevin Hart playfully addressed the rumored romance between Stefon Diggs and Cardi B, referencing a viral yacht video (Getty Images) When Kevin Hart takes the stage, no one is safe — not even high-profile NFL stars and rap royalty. During his hilarious monologue as host of the 2025 BET Awards, the comedian took a light jab at the rumored romance between Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B . His punchline, which referenced a viral yacht video, has since gone viral itself. Kevin Hart pokes fun at yacht scandal involving Stefon Diggs and Cardi B Midway through his opening bit, Kevin Hart warned attendees to steer clear of wild afterparties, slipping in a pointed comment about Diggs' controversial Miami yacht outing last month. 'No yachts, no boats. Cardi B, no pink stuff. What the f—, none of that stuff. Everybody's gonna get hit tonight. We're live. It's gonna be a good time," Hart said, drawing laughter from the crowd. The joke refers to footage that surfaced online showing Stefon Diggs aboard a yacht off the coast of Miami, surrounded by women and holding a mysterious pink, crystallized substance. The video fueled online speculation and criticism, eventually prompting New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel to comment on the matter publicly, confirming that he had spoken to Diggs about the incident. Cardi B shows support at Stefon Diggs' youth football camp amid dating rumors Despite the media frenzy, Cardi B and Stefon Diggs seem unbothered. In fact, just days before the BET Awards, Cardi B made a surprise appearance at Diggs' fourth annual Youth Football Camp in Maryland — a gesture that spoke volumes about their budding relationship. The camp, held at the University of Maryland where Diggs once played college football, welcomed hundreds of young athletes. Cardi B didn't just watch from the sidelines; she engaged with the children and offered words of encouragement, further solidifying her role as a supportive partner. Rumors of their relationship had been swirling since the two were spotted courtside at a New York Knicks playoff game in early May. But the speculation ended when Cardi B confirmed their romance on Instagram. Posting sun-kissed photos from their Miami getaway, including shots from the infamous yacht, she captioned the carousel, 'my next chapter.'
