With the Red Sox heading to New York to face the Yankees, the former Yankees prospect got to see his former Yankees teammates again. After the Red Sox won the series 2-1, Ian Browne of MLB.com shared a quote from Yankees superstar Aaron Judge on Narvaez.
"Narvy is a hard worker, a great teammate, one of the best we ever had," Judge said. "I was sad to see him go, but excited for the opportunity he's getting right now. He's really doing his thing over there, swinging it well."
Narvaez played in six games with the Yankees in 2024 and had three hits in 13 at-bats. He wasn't a major contributor for the Yankees, but Judge saw his potential in their brief time together.

"He had a short time coming up with us for a little bit, and the stuff I saw in Spring Training and the stuff I heard about, everybody loved him," said Judge. "He outworked everybody in this room. So it doesn't surprise me he's having the success he is this year."

What Narvaez has done for the Red Sox isn't just play well; he's been a massive boost to a Red Sox lineup in desperate need of a catcher. Across his 50 games for the Red Sox and 170 at-bats, Narvaez is batting .282 with a .820 OPS.
He has 48 hits, 28 runs scored, 12 doubles, six home runs, 22 RBIs, 21 walks, and 47 strikeouts. Narvaez has been an incredible batter for the Red Sox, and he's fifth on the team in OPS, behind Alex Bregman and Rafael Devers among hitters with at least 100 at-bats.

Not only has Narvaez been a great offensive weapon, but he's been incredible defensively. According to Baseball Savant, Narvaez is in the 96th percentile in Fielding Run Value. He's ranked 12th overall and fourth among catchers in Fielding Run Value in 2025.
Narvaez has become a fan favorite in Boston after his strong start to the year. His production has been a huge reason for the Red Sox's success offensively and defensively.
Judge's admission of how Narvaez is such a great teammate and player is a telling admission. The praise of Narvaez stems from his exceptional qualities as a person and teammate. Those comments should only bolster the Red Sox's love and appreciation for Narvaez amid his breakout campaign.

Angel Reese Records Her Fourth Double-Double of the Season

Angel Reese Records Her Fourth Double-Double of the Season originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Angel Reese has established herself as the top rebounder in the WNBA. Her skills were evident once more on Tuesday when the Chicago Sky faced off against the New York Liberty. While the result wasn't what any Sky supporter hoped for, this team is still young and has significant potential for development. Players such as Hailey Van Lith and Kamilla Cardoso are set to rise, and Reese is already demonstrating franchise-level talent. The three-time BET Sportswoman of the Year arguably delivered her finest performance of the season against the Liberty. She was a playmaker on offense with three assists and secured a couple of steals thanks to her aggressive defense. The Sky have faced challenges, now sitting at 2-6 for the season, with their only victories against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, who currently hold a record of 1-9. Despite the relentless wave of online negativity aimed at her, the former LSU Tigers star continues to motivate her teammates. Advertisement Earlier this week, she addressed some of the negative social media posts she's endured. 'My brand is BUILT love. They can't stop what's already BUILT. The real KNOW the REAL…I really hope that check be worth the amount of lies yall make up EVERYDAY 🤣😭i REALLYYYYY hope.' Reese finished the game with 17 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 8-13 from the field. Although the Sky fell a little short against the reigning WNBA champions, Angel has no reason to feel disappointed. She certainly more than proved her worth tonight and looked to be one of the top players on the court. Chicago will be back in action on Friday as they head to Atlanta to face the Dream. Stephanie White Assigns Blame For Fever's Third Loss Without Caitlin Clark

Stephanie White Assigns Blame For Fever's Third Loss Without Caitlin Clark originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After winning two straight games without Caitlin Clark, Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever saw their fortunes take a turn. Advertisement White and the Fever were handed their third loss without Clark on Tuesday afternoon, falling to 4-5 on the young 2025 WNBA season with a 77-58 loss to the Atlanta Dream. Natasha Howard led the way for Indiana, tallying 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 10 rebounds, her first double-double of the season. However, the Dream's frontcourt of Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones proved to be too much. Griner notched nine points on 4-of-7 shooting and four rebounds, while Jones added 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting and 10 rebounds. They also helped the Dream take full control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Fever 23-9. Advertisement And the two Atlanta stars left their mark on White. When asked what went wrong in the third quarter, she said her team lacked physicality in the post. "Their physicality on the defensive end really affected us," White said. "It took us out of what we wanted to do and forced us to rush offensively. They've got really good shifty guards that can get downhill and and we didn't do a good job of guarding our yard or being in rotation." White proceeded to comment on Atlanta's post players. "They've got great post players," White added. "They got Olympians on this roster, right, and our ability to match that physicality on the defensive end, our positioning, our connectedness, I thought wasn't there, and they took advantage of it." White and the Fever will now hope to get Clark back for their next game on Saturday, facing Sabrina Ionescu and the defending champion New York Liberty for the second time this year.
