Katie Holmes Joshua Jackson Reunion Movie Best Reactions

Buzz Feed2 days ago
That sound you hear? Well, it's thousands of Dawson's Creek fans absolutely losing their minds over Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson in the year 2025.
Yesterday, photos emerged of Katie and Josh filming in NYC. The photos are extremely Pacey and Joey coded, which is why everyone started to freak out over what this could possibly be.
Then, Deadline exclusively revealed that Katie and Josh are actually filming Happy Hours, a new film trilogy that Katie also wrote and is directing, with the Dawson's Creek duo starring in the film as the leads. According to the outlet, the trilogy will be filmed back to back.
Alongside Katie and Joshua, the films are also set to star Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, Jack Martin, and more.
Happy Hours is set to follow two people (Holmes and Jackson) who are navigating their relationship while also juggling their careers, families, and love. Per Deadline, the film is "a character-driven dramedy that explores the emotional journey of young loves who reconnect as adults, with the connective thread of shared joys, loss, and hope."
It's worth noting that while also starring on Dawson's Creek together for six seasons from 1998 to 2003, Katie and Josh also reportedly dated for about a year early in the show's run. When asked about their relationship in a 1998 interview with Rolling Stone, Katie said, "I'm just going to say that I met somebody last year. I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always." Then, in 2003, Joshua publicly talked about their relationship, telling Conan O'Brien, "In the very beginning Katie and I did have a romance."
Earlier this year, while appearing on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Dinner's on Me podcast, Joshua opened up about his friendships with his Dawson's Creek costars, including Katie, saying, "Busy [Philipps] and Michelle [Williams] are very, very close. And Katie and I are very close. It's not a daily call. Sometimes it's not a weekly or monthly or even a half-yearly call. But when you're together, A, there's always that, like, I know you know."
He continued, "And B, there is, you know, these moments, like, these major moments in life are, like, other than your husband, there's probably no other people in your life that you are that forged to. Because you had to go through good and bad, and happy and fuck you, and dont talk to me, and I love you."
Shortly after news of her new film trilogy broke, Katie posted on Instagram about the project, writing, "I am so very grateful to be working again with so many of my wonderful friends on this film HAPPY HOURS. And working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship. HAPPY HOURS is a love story that includes so many people I adore. We can't wait for everyone to see what we make."
Busy, who starred on Dawson's Creek for two seasons as Audrey Liddell, commented on the post as well, sharing her excitement:
And, just like Busy, fans — including myself — took to X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram to share their excitement over Katie and Joshua reuniting for this new romance trilogy. Here are some of the best responses:
And finally:
Well, we'll update you with more details as filming continues for Happy Hours, but until then, I will be liking every tweet, comment, and more with these photos because they are perfect. Pacey and Joey forever.

Apple TV Plus teases 'Breaking Bad' creator Vince Gilligan's next show — here's when the first look drops

Apple TV Plus is finally set to reveal some new details about an upcoming new creation from "Breaking Bad" creator, Vince Gilligan. On July 22, the streaming service shared the above poster on social media, alongside a cryptic, three-word statement: "Happiness is Contagious." Since then, Apple TV Plus has been running a countdown on its YouTube channel, presumably to some sort of trailer for the new series. The countdown (embedded below) has a little over 31 hours left on the clock, at the time of writing, pointing to a reveal tomorrow (Friday, July 25, 2025). Honestly... not much. Apple TV Plus snapped the new project up back in 2022, and we at least know this next project comes from Vince and is due to star Rhea Seehorn ("Better Call Saul's" Kim Wexler). Per a report from Deadline, we know the show has been described as "a blended, grounded genre drama," and that it received a two-season straight-to-series order from Apple — a big vote of confidence that this will be worth the wait. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Their report also says the show is expected to play out within our world, "while putting a tweak on it, bending reality and focusing on people and exploring the human condition in an unexpected, surprising way." Deadline further says that the show is "expected to carry the signature Gilligan tone that infuses drama with humor." In a subsequent interview, Gilligan revealed a few more tidbits about the sci-fi project, which is again set in Albuquerque (though a very different version of Albuquerque). "There's no crime, and no methamphetamine," he told Variety. "The world changes very abruptly in the first episode, and then it is quite different. And the consequences that that reaps hopefully provide drama for many, many episodes after that," Gilligan added. Bottom line: this is bound to be a major new release for Apple TV Plus, and if you've enjoyed Vince Gilligan's previous work, you're probably going to be signing up for Apple TV Plus soon. James Gunn Reveals The 1 Superman Scene He Nearly Cut After Audience Feedback

Never mind the casting of a brand new Superman, the decision to put him back in pants or tiresome complaints of the movie being 'woke', it's a scene within the film itself that appears to have sparked the most contention since its release. The new superhero blockbuster starring David Corenswet arrived earlier this month and marks the launch of a brand new era in the DC cinematic universe (DCU) from former Marvel director James Gunn. After a strong opening weekend (though some less favourable critics' reviews), the hype for the fresh instalment in the iconic superhero franchise is still going strong. But there was one important moment in the film that nearly didn't make the final cut, despite pretty much everyone's insistence that it should go. Speaking in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the Guardians Of The Galaxy director revealed that the scene in which the Man Of Steel pauses to save a squirrel from a destructive monster proved to be one of the most divisive details in the whole movie. 'It was probably the second- or third-most hotly debated moment in the movie,' he explained, adding that they received strong test audience feedback from viewers who 'did not like the squirrel'. 'They're like, 'Why the fuck is he saving a squirrel? Why is he taking time out, saving a squirrel?' There was a cut where I cut it out and I'm like, 'I really miss the squirrel. He's gotta save the squirrel',' he added. The director added that there were some 'geographical' problems regarding where Superman ended up if he didn't fly over the squirrel. 'So I put the squirrel back in despite the protestations of some of my people on my crew,' he added. Of course, it's not just a silly throwaway moment – it shows Superman's empathy and kindness to another living creature. In a separate interview with The New York Times, James explained how he believed the debate came down to 'do you like squirrels or not?'. Meanwhile, another key detail caused huge debate even earlier in the filming process, as the filmmaker agonised over whether to have Superman in his iconic red pants again. According to an interview with Gizmodo last year, the Slither director said he 'screened tested with trunks and no trunks', before they ultimately decided on bringing Superman back to his retro look. Watch Rusowsky Live His ‘Real Dream' of Performing on Tiny Desk

For Rusowsky, Tiny Desk had been a long-held dream. On Tuesday, the Spanish musician stopped by the NPR headquarters to serenade Tiny Desk with a concert featuring songs from his newest album, Daisy. Rusowsky's set opened with the sound of a flute as the Spanish star eased into 'Johnny Glamour,' backed by a quartet of singers harmonizing behind him. 'Con esa carita,' they repeated, as Rusowsky swayed in his seat, shaking a maraca shaped like a banana. Thank you for inviting us today. It's like a real dream for us,' Rusowsky told the audience. 'We came from Madrid. And, I just released called Daisy, and we are going to play a couple of songs from it. Hope you like it.' Rusowsky transitioned his performance into 'Sophia' from the recently released record, keeping it completely acoustic and orchestral as he shined with his whisper vocals over the plucks of guitar. Then came 'Malibu,' in which Rusowsky took on an electric bass to back the soft, piano-driven song. For '(ecco),' Rusowsky traded the bass for the piano, as he allowed his backup vocalists to harmonize with him at the start of the emotional song. 'I forgot the pictures on my mind,' he sings in English before adding in Spanish: 'We've never had a time, just you and me.' 'The past days, we got sick with the AC… But now, we party,' declared Rusowsky at the end of the track, before turning up the energy for his closing song 'Dolores.' Rusowsky released his debut album Daisy in late May, featuring collaborations with Kevin Abstract on 'Liar?,' Jean Dawson on 'Kinki Fíaro,' Ravyn Lenae on 'Pink + Pink,' and Ralphie CHoo on 'Bby Romeo.' At the time, he spoke to Rolling Stone about the album's songs. About 'Sophia,' he said: 'It was also one of the most fun to make, because I've been finding myself with music from the 2000s. I've been listening to a lot of Timbaland, a lot of Mya. I wanted to do something like that, but I wasn't thinking about it too much.'
