Ewan McGregor linked arms with his wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead as they left the opening night of his new West End play My Master Builder.
The actor, 54, cut a casual figure as he left the theatre, sporting a dark grey jacket along with black jeans and a white T-shirt.
Mary Elizabeth turned heads in a lime green midi dress with a low cut neckline which she wore with gold heels.
The actress showed off her dyed blonde locks for the evening and added to her look with a simple silver necklace.
Ewan and Mary Elizabeth fell in love on screen and off when they first met on the set of the FX series Fargo in 2016, when they both joined the cast for season three, playing each other's love interests.
At the time of the shoot, McGregor was still married to Eve Mavrakis, and Winstead was married to Riley Stearns.

The cast all appeared in high spirits as they posed for snaps together on the red carpet.

The new play is set on the eve of Independence Day in the Hamptons.
It follows Elena Solness, a publishing magnate, and her architect husband, Henry, as their marriage is disrupted by the arrival of Mathilde - a former student of Henry's with whom he once shared a deep connection.
It explores themes of love and vulnerability and draws inspiration from Ibsen.
Rosamund's outing comes just the day after she put on a very quirky display in furry Simone Rocha heels to attend the Hallow Road UK special screening in London.
The actress, who stars alongside Matthew Rhys as the lead in the new thriller flick, commanded attention in a bright red floor-length dress.
Rosamund's outfit was recently seen on Simone Rocha's Fall 2025 Ready to wear runway and featured a chunky dark metal chain and padlock.
The garment featured a ruffled neckline which created an oversized cap sleeve design over her shoulders.
But it was her shows which caught the most attention as she graced the red carpet in Mary Janes, which were covered in brown fur.
She kept the accessories to a minimum and opted for a pair of large grey flower earrings and wore a bright red lip colour.
The film sees two parents enter a race against time when they receive a distressing late-night phone call from their daughter after she caused a tragic car accident.
Jumping in their car, they race to get there before anyone else stumbles across the scene.
As they head deeper into the night, disturbing revelations threaten to tear the family apart.
It is set to be released in the United Kingdom and Ireland by Universal Pictures on 16 May 2025.
The actress recently opened up about overcoming self-judgment, the power of storytelling and even her romantic side in a recent interview.
Rosamund - who played iconic personalities as physicist Marie Curie and journalist Marie Colvin - detailed the often 'traumatic' process of playing real life character.
'I've played a lot of real people, and that can be traumatic – going deep into someone's soul to try and portray them honestly and live their life more than your own,' she told PORTER.
'I need to step away from the cauldron, as it were. I need to go back to reality.'
Flaunting an array of impressive biopic roles throughout the years, the English star said about balancing a hectic schedule: 'I'm longing for time to be idle at the moment.'
Yet, the Golden Globe winner admitted she is keen to shift into comedy, adding: 'I'm so romantic.
'I'm excitable, and I love to laugh, but I convince in the dramatic, serious roles. People don't see the girlishness in me.'

Where Disney+'s Alien: Earth falls in the Alien timeline explained

What year is Alien: Earth set? Where Disney+ series falls in the Alien timeline explained Alien: Earth expands on the hit space horror series like never before, but when is it set compared to the Alien films? Alien: Earth, one of the most critically acclaimed new streaming series of the year, is a spin-off from Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi horror classic that spawned its own franchise. ‌ After over 40 years of scaring audiences, the bloody space horror has made its small screen debut as Alien's first ever live-action series, courtesy of FX. ‌ Last Wednesday (13th August), two episodes premiered on Disney+, introducing viewers to Wendy (portrayed by Sydney Chandler), a synthetic human with the consciousness of a young girl. ‌ When a research vessel carrying valuable and lethal cargo crashes on Earth, Wendy leads a group of hybrids known as the Lost Boys on a daring rescue mission in hopes of reuniting with her brother, Hermit (Alex Lawther). As Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley's new series is set to broaden the Alien franchise like never before, let's figure out where exactly the series fits into the franchise's complex continuity, reports the Mirror. The Xenomorph sadly feels like less of a threat this time around (Image: FX) Article continues below What year is Alien: Earth set in? Alien: Earth takes place in the not-too-distant future, specifically the year 2120. Building upon the groundwork of the original film, the series portrays a grim vision of the future where Earth and the colonised Solar System are ruled by five corporations following the collapse of global governments. The remaining episodes will track the aftermath of the USCSS Maginot's crash landing on Earth after a 65-year expedition in search of alien lifeforms across the galaxy. ‌ The catalyst for the series is set in 2055, just before the earliest year of the Alien franchise we've seen so far... The timeline officially begins with Prometheus, set in 2089-2093 (Image: 20TH CENTURY FOX) Where does the series fall in the Alien timeline? Excluding the Alien vs Predator films, which are set in 2004 and aren't considered official canon, the Alien timeline kicks off with the 2012 film Prometheus. ‌ This prequel delves into the origins of the Xenomorphs and follows a journey to the remote moon LV-223 that starts in 2089 and reaches its destination in December 2093. Prometheus was succeeded by Alien: Covenant, which brought audiences back together with Michael Fassbender's menacing android David 11 years later, in 2104. Therefore, Alien: Earth is set 16 years after the events of Covenant, in 2120, although the events of the film and series haven't connected... yet. ‌ The franchise kicked off with Ellen Ripley's escape from the Nostromo in 2122 (Image: 20TH CENTURY FOX) In chronological order, Alien: Earth leads into the very first film in the franchise, Alien, which was released in 1979 and set in 2122, where a rescue mission to the moon LV-426 ends disastrously. While some viewers might presume James Cameron's 1986 classic Aliens would be the next film in the timeline, the release of Alien: Romulus last year filled the gap as it's set in 2142, introducing fans to Marie Raines 'Rain' Carradine (Cailee Spaeny) and her android 'brother' Andy (David Jonsson). ‌ Watch Alien: Earth on Disney+ with two months free This article contains affiliate links, we will receive a commission on any sales we generate from it. When is Alien: Earth set? Where the prequel falls in the Alien timeline explained

Fans are raving about the new TV series set in the Alien universe, but where exactly does it land in the timeline? Alien: Earth is one of the most critically acclaimed new streaming series of the year, a spin-off from Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi horror masterpiece that launched its own franchise. ‌ After terrifying audiences for over 40 years, the gory space horror has arrived on the small screen in the form of Alien's first ever live-action series, brought to us by FX. ‌ Two episodes arrived on Disney+ last Wednesday (13th August) and introduced viewers to Wendy (played by Sydney Chandler), a synthetic human with the consciousness of a young girl. ‌ When a research vessel carrying precious and deadly cargo crashes to Earth, Wendy leads a team of hybrids known as the Lost Boys on a daring rescue mission in the hope of reuniting with her brother, Hermit (Alex Lawther). As the new series from Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley is set to expand the Alien franchise like never before, let's determine where exactly the series fits in the franchise's complicated continuity. What year is Alien: Earth set in? Alien: Earth is set in the not-so-distant future, the year 2120. Building on the foundation of the first film, the series is set in a bleak vision of the future where Earth and the colonised Solar System are controlled by five companies following the collapse of the world 's governments. The remaining episodes will follow the aftermath of the USCSS Maginot 's crash to Earth following a 65-year expedition to search for alien lifeforms across the galaxy. ‌ This places the catalyst for the series in 2055, which is actually just before the earliest year of the Alien franchise we've seen thus far… Where does the series fall in the Alien timeline? Discounting the Alien vs Predator films, which are set in 2004 and are not considered official canon, the Alien timeline begins with the 2012 film Prometheus. ‌ This prequel explores the genesis of the Xenomorphs and follows an expedition to the distant moon LV-223 which begins in 2089 and arrives in December, 2093. Prometheus was followed by Alien: Covenant, which reunited audiences with Michael Fassbender's sinister android David 11 years later, in 2104. Alien: Earth is, therefore, set 16 years after the events of Covenant, in 2120, though the events of the film and series haven't linked up… yet. ‌ Chronologically, Alien: Earth leads into the very first film in the franchise, Alien, which was released in 1979 and set in 2122, where a rescue mission to the moon LV-426 ends in catastrophe. While some viewers might assume James Cameron's 1986 classic Aliens would be the next film in the timeline, the release of Alien: Romulus last year bridged the gap as it's set in 2142, introducing fans to Marie Raines 'Rain' Carradine (Cailee Spaeny) and her android 'brother' Andy (David Jonsson). ‌ Aliens is next with Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) returning to a newly colonised LV-426 in 2179 after being rescued from cryosleep. 1992's Alien 3 takes place soon after the events of Aliens, again in 2179 after Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 'Fury' 161, a barren world in which she finds herself prisoner. ‌ Finally, the most far-flung future of the franchise was explored in 1997's Alien: Resurrection, in which a cloned Ripley is awoken in the year 2381, 202 years after her death. Will Alien: Earth take the franchise even further into the future? Stay tuned each week to find out.

Alicia Vikander puts a VERY leggy display in stylish shoot as she opens up about 'mum guilt' and shares rare insight into co-parenting with husband Michael Fassbender

Alicia Vikander has shared rare insight into co-parenting with husband Michael Fassbender as well as opening up about her battles with 'mum guilt'. The Swedish actress, 36, who shares two young sons with the Irish star, 48, made the rare comments during a stylish shoot for British Vogue ahead of her West End debut. While Alicia admitted both her and her husband's schedules can be gruelling, she said they make sure never to work at the same time in order for one parent to always be at home with the kids. 'It can be very long days, and a lot of the time you will leave before the kids get up and then maybe not be back before they sleep. So knowing that one parent is always home. With all the parent and mum guilt that you already carry with you constantly – I am battling that a lot, all the time'. She also spoke about life in Lisbon following the family's move to Portugal: 'My husband said he wanted to surf every day. We're on the beach with the kids every weekend we are there'. In the shoot Alicia looked nothing short of sensational as she flaunted her long toned legs in a figure-hugging silk dressed before posing seductivly on a bed wrapped in a fur stole. Elsewhere in the interview she revealed about how motherhood had changed her and despite loving it now, had previously been terrified to have children. I wasn't really very maternal until I had my own children. But maybe even more after the second one arrived, I started to feel like: "OK, I know this a little bit now". I'm a bit kinder to myself too'. Alicia will be starring in The Lady from the Sea alongside Andrew Lincoln at the Bridge Theatre from 10 Sep – 8 Nov 2025. Last year Alicia revealed that she and husband Michael had secretly welcomed a second child, a son whose name has not been made public. In am interview for ELLE UK, co-star Taylor Russell praised the Oscar winner, saying she was 'so impressed' by Alicia's physical work on their upcoming movie Hope, especially since she had 'literally just had (her) second baby.' The Swedish star replied, 'All women have such different experiences, and going through it a second time was definitely harder for me.' She continued: 'But I think training made it easier. Going through those nine months is like a marathon, so it does help if you're strong going into it. 'It's so physically demanding, and I have so much admiration for any woman who has done it'. Alicia went on to say that she had portrayed childbirth on-screen four times before experiencing it in real life, adding, 'Your job is to pretend as an actor, but every time I had to give birth, I said to every woman on set, "I'm sorry." I felt like such an imposter.' She kept further details about the couple's second child private. They quietly welcomed their first child, a son, in 2021 after marrying in 2017. On finding a balance between her career and personal life, Alicia added: 'I am preparing for two jobs at the moment, and I have come to a point where I'm finding the balance between work and having a family. 'I narrow it down to two things now – the people I really want to work with, and the projects that I feel are going to be a creative, joyous time. I am privileged that I have the choice of whether I work on these big things. 'I always have the blues when I finish a job. Especially if it has been one of those good ones, which as I get older is what I'm seeking. 'I had it on Firebrand. It was a very tough subject, but we had a great time. So, there is a sadness that it's over, but it's also like having done a sprint. I'm tired, and by the end of the job I've already started to look at something else.' 'You have to let go. You can't be in control of your own work, which is a really strange feeling. But then you realise that's actually what it's like to be an actor. That can be really hard sometimes. Obviously, working with people and directors you trust really helps.' Alicia and her husband Michael first began dating in late 2014, after they met on the set of their film The Light Between Oceans. The couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony three years later, in Ibiza, Spain in October 2017. The Swedish actress revealed in September 2021 that she had quietly welcomed a baby son with Michael, earlier that year. In 2023, Alicia opened up about the pain she went through after suffering an 'extreme' miscarriage before getting pregnant with her first child. She spoke out about the 'painful' struggles she faced on her journey to becoming a mother, admitting to The Times that 'it took time' for the couple to conceive their first baby together. 'We have a child now, but it took us time,' she said, before revealing that she had suffered a 'painful, extreme' miscarriage before she got pregnant with her son. She also compared her experiences to her 2016 movie The Light Between Oceans in which she and Michael played a childless couple who experience two miscarriages and ultimately adopt a baby girl who is lost at sea. Alicia added: '[The miscarriage] was so extreme, painful to go through and, of course, it made me recall making that film [The Light Between Oceans]. That film has another meaning now.' The Danish Girl star added: 'Sometimes you go through things that are tough in life and if you have an office job you can step away for a bit.
