7 Bruins Who Can Hit New Milestones Next Season
Heading into the new year, there are several Bruins players who have the potential to hit new career milestones before the 2025-26 season is over. Due to this, let's take a look at each player and how close they are to hitting their potential new milestones now.
David Pastrnak has the potential to hit some very big career milestones during the 2025-26 season, as he could very well hit the 400-goal, 500-assist, and 900-point marks if he stays healthy. When noting that Pastrnak is still only 29 years old, him being within reach of these milestones already is very impressive.
Pastrnak getting 400 goals should be a lock, as he only needs to score nine more times to reach it. From there, he needs 58 more assists to hit assist No. 500 and 67 points to reach his 900th career point. When noting that he has had at least 63 assists and 106 points in each of the last two seasons, he certainly has a very good shot of reaching these other two milestones.
Morgan Geekie broke out in a big way for the Bruins last season, setting new career highs with 33 goals, 24 assists, and 57 points in 77 games. If he can put together another season like this, he should record his 100th career goal, 100th career assist, and 200th career point before the campaign is over.
Geekie currently has 72 career goals, meaning he needs 28 more to hit career goal No. 100. He is 13 assists away from the 100th of his career and 41 points away from his 200th point, so these are certainly within reach if he has another strong season like he did in 2025-26.
Elias Lindholm will be another Bruin to watch when it comes to potential milestones next season. The 30-year-old forward is within striking distance of his 400th career assist, as he needs only 31 more to hit this nice milestone.
Lindholm recorded 30 assists this past season for the Bruins in what was a down year. He has at least 40 assists twice in the last four seasons, so the possibility of him recording 31 assists next season and hitting the 400-assist milestone should not be ruled out.
New Bruins forward Viktor Arvidsson should hit a trio of new milestones next season, as he is very close to each of them. Arvidsson needs only six more goals to hit the 200th of his career, five more assists to reach career assist No. 200, and 11 points to record his 400th career point.
Assuming Arvidsson stays healthy next season for the Bruins, him hitting these milestones should not be difficult for him at all. Even in what was a tough 2024-25 season with the Edmonton Oilers for him, he still finished the year with 15 goals, 12 assists, and 27 points in 67 games.
The Bruins brought back forward Sean Kuraly this off-season on a two-year contract with an average annual value of $1.85 million contract. With this, Kuraly will once again be a key part of the Bruins' bottom six and penalty kill due to his steady defensive play and tenacity. However, while Kuraly is more known for his being a defensive minded forward, he is nearing a new milestone involving his offense.
Kuraly will reach the 100th assist of his NHL career if he finishes next season with 11 helpers. Coincidentally, this is the exact number of assists Kuraly recorded with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 82 games this past season. With this, the possibility of him reaching his 100th career assist next year is certainly there.
New Bruins forward Tanner Jeannot could also hit a brand new career milestone, as he is closing in on his 100th career point. The 6-foot-2 rugged winger needs only seven more points to reach his 100th career point, nd he should not have too much trouble reaching that before the completion of the 2025-26 season.
While Jeannot has struggled to produce offense in recent seasons, he has still had at least 13 points in each of the last three campaigns. Thus, if he stays healthy, he should get his 100th career point next season.
Like Jeannot, Bruins defenseman Henri Jokiharju also has a good shot of reaching his 100th career point next season. The right-shot defenseman is only three points away from doing so. Therefore, it should not take Jokiharju too long to hit this solid career milestone, even if he is more of a defensive defenseman.

'This isn't YouTube' - talks continue for Joshua v Paul
Anthony Joshua could receive a career-high pay day to fight Jake Paul as their teams continue to hold talks over a bout in 2026. Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, says it is likely the fight could be the Briton's next. Joshua is a two-time heavyweight world champion with 32 professional fights, while American Paul, who rose to fame on YouTube, has 13 bouts to his name. "At first I thought it was a publicity stunt from Jake and now the more I speak to them the more I actually understand - Jake Paul thinks he can beat Anthony Joshua," Hearn told BBC Sport. "This is a step too far. So be careful what you wish for, because this isn't a game. "This isn't YouTube. This isn't Disney. This is the danger zone." Both teams denied conditions could be part of the fight, like when Paul fought long-retired and then 58-year-old Mike Tyson last November. That contest had bigger gloves and a maximum of eight rounds, each limited to two minutes. Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bardian, who set up MVP with 28-year-old Paul, says he is "not worried about safety at all". "This would be pursued as a straight up professional fight," said Bidarian. "I think there's certainly an experience gap between the two of them in terms of where they're at in their career. "From my prospective, Joshua's an active heavyweight. "The likelihood of Anthony Joshua being able to land a heavyweight punch is much higher than what Mike Tyson had. "I want to give Jake as much time as possible to improve on his boxing skillset to be able to effectively neutralise that main attribute of Anthony Joshua. "My ask of him is to wait longer to do it. But when an opportunity is there, sometimes if you don't take it, it never comes back." Hearn also acknowledged the fight would face criticism should it be made. In Japan, there was a timely reminder of the dangers of the sport as super-featherweight Shigetoshi Kotari died from injuries he sustained in a bout earlier this month. Paul has fought many ex-MMA fighters in boxing, has competed at cruiserweight and his single loss was to Tommy Fury. While the American has insisted becoming a world champion is his ultimate goal, there are few in the sport who would say that is possible. "Do I think he'll go and win world titles? Nope, never," Hearn said. Bidarian likened the potential match-up to when ex-UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou crossed into boxing. "Anthony Joshua fought Francis Ngannou. Francis Ngannou first fought Tyson Fury who many says is a better boxer than Anthony Joshua and went all 10 rounds," Bidarian said. "And then had the opportunity to fight Anthony Joshua and got flatlined. Which happens all the time in boxing." How much could Joshua earn from a Paul fight? Hearn and Bidarian both said the fight would probably take place at a stadium in the United States. As many as 72,000 people watched Paul and Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Texas while Joshua has staged six of his fights at different stadiums in the UK. The main motivation for Joshua is the prospective fight purse, which Hearn said could exceed his previous paydays. Joshua's purses have never been made public or verified but his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in 2022 earned him reportedly as much as £40m. "Probably right up there [as his biggest fight purse]," Hearn said. "[Usually] the more dangerous the fight, the bigger you expect the purse to be, or to reflect that. "This is actually the opposite. It might be AJ's easiest ever fight and potentially his biggest payday." SAN DIEGO -- Ramón Laureano singled in Xander Bogaerts from second base with no outs in the 10th inning and the San Diego Padres beat the Boston Red Sox 5-4 on Saturday night. With runners on first and second and the infield drawn in, Laureano, obtained from Baltimore at the trade deadeline, hit a chopper off off Garrett Whitlock (5-2) over third baseman Alex Bregman into left field. Bogaerts, who had a big game against his former team, scored. Boston's Roman Anthony tied it in the ninth when a ground-rule double off All-Star closer Robert Suarez that brought in Ceddanne Rafaela. Bogaerts homered, had an RBI single and walked. Manny Machado cost San Diego at least one run with a failed hidden-ball trick before Red Sox starter Lucas Giolito walked in two straight runs during a fifth-inning meltdown that gave the Padres the lead. With the Red Sox leading 3-2, Giolito allowed Fernando Tatis Jr.'s leadoff single in the fifth and then retired Machado and Luis Arreaz. But he then walked four straight batters, including Ryan O'Hearn and Ramón Laureano with the bases loaded, and was lifted. Giolito walked Jackson Merrill on four straight pitches, threw only one strike to Bogaerts and O'Hearn and went to a full count against Laureano. Now, for Ohtani, a 40-home run season is nothing new, as he's accomplished the feat four times in the last five seasons, including last season in LA. But the accomplishment was notable all the same for a number of reasons, including that it marks the first time a Dodgers player has had back-to-back 40 home run seasons since all the way back in 2002, when Shawn Green went on a run for the Blue and White. It also marked the fastest a Dodgers batter has gotten to 40 home runs in franchise history, passing Cody Bellinger in 2019 by six games. When, some may wonder, was the last time a Dodgers pitcher hit 40 home runs in a season once, let alone twice? Well, that would be… never. Joining an unlikely home run competition with Philadelphia Phillies left fielder Kyle Schwarber, who has been on an absolute tear as of late, Ohtani technically trails his East Coast rival by one run at time of publication. What Ohtani doesn't have to worry about is Schwarber suddenly becoming a Gold Glover, let alone a converted pitcher at the tender age of 32, giving him the clear edge. If Ohtani continues to dominate at the plate and on the mound, he very well could find himself with another MVP on his mantle, marking the first time a Dodgers player has accomplished that feat ever, despite the franchise being around since 1883, when the MLB was just seven years old.
