Leadership change at Calvin Klein: David Savman succeeds Eva Serrano

Fashion United09-05-2025

PVH Corp. has announced a leadership transition on May 8, 2025, appointing David Savman as the new global brand president of Calvin Klein, succeeding Eva Serrano. Serrano, who has led the brand since 2023, will remain with the company through the end of the year in an advisory capacity to ensure a smooth transition.
PVH CEO Stefan Larsson expressed gratitude for Serrano's contributions and confidence in Savman's ability to lead Calvin Klein into its next chapter. 'David is a people-focused leader with a proven ability to elevate brands, execute with a robust operating engine and deliver PVH+ Plan performance, all of which will be critical as we take Calvin Klein into this next chapter,' Larsson said.
Savman joined PVH in 2022 and currently serves as the company's global head of operations and chief supply chain officer. In 2024, he also took on the role of interim CEO for PVH Europe, where he was credited with repositioning the region for growth.
Savman expressed enthusiasm about his new role, stating, 'I'm thrilled to lead the talented Calvin Klein team. Together with our global partners, we have a powerful opportunity to build on the strong momentum underway by tapping into the brand's iconic DNA to drive even greater desirability as we shape Calvin Klein for future generations.'
Under Serrano's leadership, Calvin Klein underwent significant transformation, aligning the brand under a unified global vision and team. Notably, she played a pivotal role in bringing the high-end Calvin Klein Collection back to New York Fashion Week after a six-year hiatus and appointed Veronica Leoni as the brand's first creative director since 2018.
This leadership change is part of PVH's ongoing efforts to streamline its operations and focus on its core brands, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, as it continues to execute its PVH+ Plan for long-term growth.

Boots wow shoppers with 'bargain' as £70 perfume now £28

Boots has slashed the price of Calvin Klein's Man Eau de Toilette from £70 to £28 - saving customers £42 Boots shoppers have been raving about a perfume deal they're calling a 'real bargain' and 'great value for money'. The popular high-street chain is renowned for its extensive beauty product range, which includes luxury fragrances that are often reduced to affordable prices. In its latest slew of markdowns, Boots has slashed the price of Calvin Klein's Man Eau de Toilette from £70 to £28, allowing customers to pocket a saving of £42. This offer applies to the large 100ml bottle as well. Boots describes Man Eau de Toilette as a fragrance that "captures the essence of the modern Calvin Klein man". It adds: "Bursting with crisp freshness, exotic spices, and rich woods. Sexy and stylish, it embodies the simplicity of contemporary luxury and style." The scent features "rich, earthy notes" and is described as "fresh and bright, yet complex and deep". Its top notes are rosemary, mandarin, bergamot, violet leaf. The heart notes include bay leaves, nutmeg, incense, spearmint, and base notes include cypress wood, guaiac wood, amberwood, musk. Beyond Boots, Amazon is offering an even more budget-friendly 100ml bottle of Calvin Klein's Man Eau de Toilette for £24. Superdrug lists the same size for £27, reports Glasgow Live. Another choice is Argos, which has the 100ml bottle priced at £24. Calvin Klein's Man Eau de Toilette has a 4.2 out of five-star customer rating on the Boots website. Enthusiastic reviews are pouring in, with one shopper writing: "I bought this as a last minute purchase as I was heading out. "The smell is very nice not too overpowering and you want to keep smelling more. However the longevity isn't as good for me it lasts about 2 hrs after that you and others wont even know you have perfume on. I guess for the price it makes sense." Meanwhile, another satisfied customer said: "Nice classy smell, not too overpowering, good for any occasion." A third said: "Lovely aftershave. I bought it based on the description and ingredient notes and it was very accurate. Great value sale purchase." A further fan said: "I bought this as a gift and he really liked it. Nice fragrance, it lasts quite a while considering it's EAU de toilette." However, one buyer said: "Nice smell but the spray bottle broke on the first use so not really impressed." Another put: "Scent fades after 10mins. Smell is good just doesn't last." An additional reviewer revealed they got their partner hooked. "Bought this for my husband as it was on promotion, he liked it that much he's now on a second bottle," they said. And someone else added: "Bought this for my husband. He liked it. Nice smell and value for money." One commenter also celebrated the price, writing: "This was bought as a birthday gift; it was half price and a real bargain." But one more said: "The smell is nothing to write home about. Really disappointed with this purchase."

Revolve Group reportedly acquires IP of Dion Lee

US e-commerce retailer Revolve Group is believed to have snapped up the intellectual property (IP) assets of Australian fashion brand Dion Lee. This is according to the Australian Financial Review, which said that Revolve had acquired the Sydney-based brand's assets from its administrator, DVT Group, for under one million dollars. Founded in 2009, Dion Lee, at once a regular at New York Fashion Week, had experienced what was to be a short-lived success, operating through six stores in its homeland of Australia, one location in the US and selling via 160 international outlets. The company had begun to position itself for the next phase of growth by the end of 2023, appointing James Miller as its first chief executive officer to oversee the process. By May 2024, however, Dion Lee had placed its Australian arm under administration after an investor, Cue Clothing, pulled out following a strategic review. DVT was appointed to explore 'all options' related to Dion Lee's business operations, including those in the US, which at one time was the brand's biggest market. At the time of the administration, the brand was believed to have owed 35 million dollars in total liabilities. In the following August, it was then reported that the brand would wind down after no deals were reached with potential buyers. AFR stated that administrators had sold more than 40,000 Dion Lee items in the second half of 2024 to recover nine million dollars in debt. FashionUnited has contacted Revolve Group and DVT Group with requests to comment.
