Hannah Kobayashi appears to address father's suicide in vague video, ‘Such loss and pain and suffering'
Hannah, 31, disappeared while heading to New York City after missing a connecting flight to New York and being stranded in Los Angeles. She was later caught on camera crossing into Mexico, and was declared a voluntary missing person by police. Her family eventually started investigating the possibility that she may have been involved in an immigration marriage scam.
After days of relentless searches and Ryan's suicide, Hannah was ultimately found safe in December. However, even after returning, she made no mention of her father.
Hannah has now shared a vague video about how life is 'such a precious gift…especially after such loss and pain and suffering.' 'We should all learn to be kind to one another and cherish every single moment that we can because we are all connected,' she said on social media, according to the New York Post.
Hannah responded to a user's comment in a previous post, where she was criticised for not attending her dad's funeral. 'You don't know the whole story. My intention in this post is to acknowledge that I am going to speak about my experience and to stand up against all the hate that was cast upon me,' Hannah wrote. 'I hope that in your darkest hours, you are shown compassion and love versus hate and judgment.'

‘Digging My Grave': Who Is David? Family Says ‘Living Skeleton', Israel Sees Largest Stir Over Clip
Last Updated: Evyatar David's video has triggered protests at Tel Aviv's 'Hostage Square', with thousands coming out on the streets to push PM Benjamin Netanyahu to make a deal for the hostages Palestinian group Hamas on Saturday released another disturbing video of a weak Israeli hostage, Evyatar David, 24, showing him digging what he calls 'his grave" in an underground tunnel. This is his second video circulated within 48 hours. The videos have triggered protests at Tel Aviv's 'Hostage Square', with thousands coming out on the streets in the largest rally since the start of the war to push Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make a deal for the hostages. What does the video clip released by Hamas show? In the footage, David is seen using a shovel in the tunnel. He is seen saying in Hebrew: 'What I'm doing now is digging my own grave. Every day my body becomes weaker and weaker. I'm walking directly to my grave. There is the grave where I am going to be buried in. Time is running out to be released and be able to sleep in my bed with my family." He is then seen breaking down. The footage is juxtaposed with images of starving Palestinian children. In addition to the footage of David, Hamas and Islamic Jihad released another video showing hostage Rom Braslavski, 21, a dual German-Israeli citizen, also appearing weak. How has David's family reacted? David's family, according to the New York Post, said in a statement sent to the Hostages Families Forum Headquarters, 'We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Evyatar David, deliberately and cynically starved in Hamas's tunnels in Gaza — a living skeleton, buried alive." David's family in a statement said, 'The deliberate starvation of our son as part of a propaganda campaign is one of the most horrifying acts the world has seen. He is being starved purely to serve Hamas's propaganda." 'Hamas is using our son as a live experiment in a vile hunger campaign. Who is Evyatar David? Harrowing Hamas video shows ‘living skeleton' in Gaza, Israel PM Netanyahu slams ‘Nazi-like abuse'
An armed wing of Palestinian militant group Hamas released a video of 24-year-old Evyatar David on Saturday, triggering protests at Tel Aviv's "Hostage Square". The videos were released as ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas have stalled, and Palestinians in Gaza face a mounting starvation crisis. The videos, released by militant groups Hamas and the Palestinians, showed Israeli hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski in a visibly fragile state. In the 40-second clip, David looked skeletal and weak in a narrow concrete tunnel, for the second night in a row. The undated footage of David is juxtaposed with images of starving Palestinian children. According to the New York Post, Evyatar David was forced to dig a grave by Hamas leaders. In the video, David said he hasn't eaten in days. "This is the grave where I think I am going to be buried," he reportedly said in the video. His family authorised the release of this harrowing footage. David's family, according to the New York Post, said in a statement sent to the Hostages Families Forum Headquarters, 'We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Evyatar David, deliberately and cynically starved in Hamas's tunnels in Gaza — a living skeleton, buried alive." "Hamas is using our son as a live experiment in a vile hunger campaign. The deliberate starvation of our son as part of a propaganda campaign is one of the most horrifying acts the world has seen," David's family was quoted by news agency AFP as saying. Demonstrators take part in a protest to demand the immediate release of hostages held in Gaza since the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel by Hamas and to end the war, as a video released by Hamas of hostage Evyatar David is displayed, in Tel Aviv, Israel, August 2, 2025. In late February, Hamas had released a video showing David and Gilboa-Dalal being held inside a vehicle and forced to watch a hostage release ceremony a short distance away, AFP reported. Israeli restrictions on the entry of goods and aid into Gaza have reportedly led to severe shortages of food and other essentials, stoking international demands for a ceasefire. Hamas has included this issue in their hostage videos, warning that the hostages are going hungry alongside their captors and that time is running out for a ceasefire. However, the Israel military has the allegation of "deliberate starvation". On July 23, Israel's Foreign Ministry released a purported video showing 'Hamas about full meals in their tunnels, far from the suffering above and stocked with items not from humanitarian aid.' The appalling video sparked outrage in Israel and across the globe. Thousands flooded the Israeli streets, demanding that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu make a deal for the hostages after Hamas showed footage of the emaciated captive underground. Meanwhile, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said he spoke with the families of Hamas hostages Rom Braslavsky and Evyatar David. "I expressed to them my deep shock at the harsh footage published by the Hamas terror organisation. I told them in the clearest way – we are continuing the effort to bring back all the hostages, relentlessly, with determination, and without tire," he said in a post on X. 'Home Alone' vibes? Spanish couple ditches 10-year-old at airport, leaves for vacation. Here's what happened
In a bizarre incident at a Spanish airport, an unnamed couple allegedly left their 10-year-old son behind and boarded a flight for their vacation – a scene straight out of Home Alone, according to a report by The New York Post. After reaching the airport, the couple realized that they didn't have the required travel documents for their kid so they decided to leave him behind at the airport terminal and continue with their vacation plans, said the media report. The incident was reported in a TikTok video by a woman, Lilian, an air-operations coordinator at the unidentified airport. She described the incident as "completely surreal". However, her claims could not be verified. According to the New York Post report, Lilian said in Spanish in the clip, '[The kid] told [police] that his parents were on the plane, on their way to their home country for vacation.' 'The explanation given to [the authorities] was that the child was traveling with an expired passport from Spain, and needed a travel visa.' 'Since he didn't have a visa, they left the kid in the terminal and called a relative to pick him up.' 'I didn't see it as normal.' 'The police didn't see it as normal either.' According to Lilian, the police were informed and the parents' luggage was removed from the plane. The couple was then escorted to the on-site police station for questioning. The incident sparked outrage and drew comparisons to other such instances of children being left at airports and train terminals. In 2018, a couple in Germany forgot their five-year-old daughter at Stuttgart Airport in Berlin. Both the parents claimed that they each had thought the other parent had taken charge of the girl. In May this year, an unattended two-year-old child was swept away on a luggage conveyor belt at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport.
