Stuttgart in talks to sign Joel Chima Fujita
Sports Nippon reports that VfB Stuttgart are interested in acquiring twice-capped Japanese international Joel Chima Fujita. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder currently plays St. Truiden in Belgium and maintains an estimated market value of €2.2m. Fujita made 36 competitive appearances for his Belgian club this year.
The Japanese publication claims that talks over a permanent transfer have already begun. Fujita's style-of-play apparently reminds VfB management of former VfB squad captain Wataru Endo. Fujita – who is also eligible to represent Nigeria – would certainly wish to enhance his chances of representing Japan at next summer's World Cup.

Stuttgart themselves can cite the success of the likes of Endo and current Bayern Munich man Hiroki Ito as cases in which Samurai internationals were able to further their career with the club. Reports linking German midfielder Angelo Stiller with a move away from Württemberg may leave Stuttgart in need of more midfield assistance this summer.

Huge blow as Chelsea star ruled out of Euro 2025
Chelsea defender Millie Bright has ruled herself out of England's Euro 2025 squad for this summer's tournament. Bright's decision comes ahead of Sarina Wiegman's squad announcement, with the 31-year-old admitting she is not 'able to give 100%' physically or mentally' to the Lionesses. England begin their Euro 2025 campaign against France on July 5th. 'This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but after careful thought and discussions with my team, I have decided to withdraw from selection for the England squad ahead of Euro 2025,' Bright said in an Instagram post. Advertisement 'Football has given me so much, and representing my country has always been my greatest honour. My pride and ego tells me to go but I think the team and the fans deserve more. Right now, I'm not able to give 100 per cent mentally or physically.' Bright's announcement follows the decisions of Mary Earps and Fran Kirby to retire from international duty. Earps has called time on her career with the Lionesses after being replaced as number one goalkeeper. Wiegman's squad will now be absent of several leaders from the squad's that won the European Championship in 2022 and reached the World Cup final in 2023. Bright captained the side at that latter tournament in the absence of injured Arsenal star Leah Williamson. The former has won 88 caps for the national team. 🤑 Inzaghi wants Osimhen, Al Hilal's star-studded transfer moves
Simone Inzaghi has officially taken over as the new coach of Al Hilal, and the former Inter manager is ready, starting from the Club World Cup, to kick off a lucrative and, as the Saudis hope, winning cycle. The financial resources of the Blues of Arabia are endless, as is their ambition. The first big move for Simone Inzaghi could be Victor Osimhen, with several updates on this front. INZAGHI-OSIMHEN CONTACT The Nigerian, on loan at Galatasaray, will indeed return to Napoli but only formally. His entourage has been seeking a permanent transfer for over a year, and the Al Hilal prospect could satisfy all parties involved. As reported by Alfredo Pedullà, Inzaghi has spoken directly with Osimhen, explaining the project and indicating that things could move quickly. The Nigerian from Napoli is, therefore, the number one target for the Saudi club. Advertisement The amount to pry him away from Napoli is known, and for Al Hilal, it won't be an issue: the 75 million clause valid for abroad is ADL's asking price. Then, of course, there will be discussions about Osimhen's salary, which, according to the Belgian source HNL, could amount to 120 million euros over three years with 40 million annually. MARKET AMBITIONS: EDERSON, THEO, AND MORE The market will, of course, be explosive. Victor Osimhen is the number one target, but the Saudi club has also promised Simone Inzaghi other acquisitions. Al Hilal is indeed at the forefront for Ederson from Atalanta. The Brazilian from the Goddess is highly regarded by Manchester United, but the 60 million requested by the Bergamo team might cause the Red Devils to step back and Al Hilal to advance. Theo Hernandez is also highly favored, though he is taking his time considering European interests, especially from Atletico Madrid. Advertisement Al Hilal also made an attempt for Bruno Fernandes with a very generous offer: however, the Portuguese from Manchester United declined the proposal. Marc-Andre ter Stegen sends challenge to Barcelona over future
Barcelona appear to be on the verge of signing what they see in their new long-term goalkeeper in Joan Garcia, after the Espanyol goalkeeper gave the green light to a move. The Blaugrana are scheduled to pay his €25m release clause. It seems that they have made a strong play for Garcia, and managed to persuade him to reject offers from the Premier League over the space of two weeks. Yet the costs of that charm offensive will be more than just the release clause and Garcia's contract, having told the 24-year-old that he will come in as the club's number one next season. Marc-Andre ter Stegen future Clearly this creates a conflict with club captain and previous first choice Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Last week, before the deal with Garcia was agreed, ter Stegen said that he would be at Barcelona no matter what. The 33-year-old wa back in action for Germany after nine months away on Wednesday night in their 2-1 loss to Portugal, pulling off a fine double save. Afterwards, he reiterated that he was going nowhere. Advertisement 'No one has told me about this, and it's always difficult to comment on everything. I know I'll stay at Barca next season,' he told ZDF, as quoted by MD. He was also delighted to be back with the German national team. Image via'It's fantastic to be here now. I'm seeing my teammates again, and it's a great feeling to finally be back with the team.' Barcelona set for talks with ter Stegen Even if ter Stegen has not been spoken to yet, Barcelona are planning to hold talks with him in the coming days. They will explain the situation to him, and the word is that they will not try to force the shot-stopper out. Clearly though, Barcelona are hoping that if ter Stegen sees he will not be number one, he will look for other opportunities.
