Williams open to managing Newport full time
Newport County caretaker boss Dafydd Williams is not ruling himself out of the running for the job full-time, saying he wants to stay at the club "in whatever capacity".
Williams was placed in temporary charge for the final two games of the season following the departure of Nelson Jardim.

The 32-year-old will lead Newport in their final fixture of the 2024-25 League Two campaign against Tranmere Rovers at Rodney Parade on Saturday, 3 May (15:00 BST).
Williams says it has been an "honour" to manage the side, and is ready to step into the role on a permanent basis if he is asked.
"Well, I 100% trust in my ability and my capabilities as a coach and a head coach," said Williams when asked if he felt he could do the top job.
"Equally, I want the right person to manage this football club. The club deserves that, the fans deserve that.
"Whatever capacity it is, I would love to stay. I've had a really good two years here."

Williams has been on the coaching staff at Newport since former boss Graham Coughlan brought him in from Bristol Rovers.
He says he has not spoken to chairman Huw Jenkins about next season but feels the club need to appoint a new boss as soon as possible.
"I think it goes without saying that the earlier, the better," he said. "It gives that person more time.
"I have no doubt the chairman and other people behind the scenes are working hard to find the right person."
County, 21st in League Two, hope to end a disappointing season on a high by securing their first win in nine games, with Williams urging his team to get the fans' "juices flowing" ahead of next season.

FORMER Colchester United striker Brandon Hanlan has joined League One newcomers Doncaster Rovers. The 28-year-old has signed for the reigning League Two champions on a two-year deal, following his exit from Wycombe Wanderers after four years at Adams Park. Former Colchester United attacker signs for Scottish club Doncaster boss Grant McCann told the club's website: 'He's someone who has annoyed me whenever I've come up against him. 'Brandon brings his energy, his pressing, his aggression. 'Our front three has to run and work. They start every line of defence for us in terms of what they do. 'Brandon brings that first and foremost and now it's up to us to get him into goalscoring positions. "We create chances, this team will create chances for Brandon and we need to get him between the posts to take them.'
